When hitting the stick into spikes. they face the direction of the camera so you can slightly adjust where you want em to face. Also if you're doing multiple rows tight together you have to work front to back. Also also. To stop stick snapping together like fencing you just need to chop the the "host" stick into a spike first. Also also also. If doing multiple rows you'll find it much harder to replace broken ones unless there's access from the back row. I've seen many "optimal" spike trap builds but almost none of the clustered ones have an reasonable way to replace broken spikes. However if you regularly check your wall and run past spamming the repair hammer and check for missing rocks you'll have to replace the spike itself a lot less.
I think you should keep the tree house but replace the bed with a spike trap....That will sure surprise all the cannibals that pop up there for a lil destruction. lmao.
OMG the front of your base looks stunning at night! I wish they made the spikes a blueprint one stick at a time is so tedious, but it looks fantastic you just have alot of work ahead lol Great job GE!
For cannibals, your wall is fine, for 100 days+ with John2 stopping by all the time you really want a spike ramp. They can take out John2 in a matter of seconds if made properly, Everything else he seems to just clip through without taking damage
Need spikes between the spikes you have or the AI can walk through. Almost a good defense wall, you're going to regret using those 1/4 logs though. The sharper the angle the less likely the AI will try to jump and the better chance of catching John2 (the caterpillar guy) or the babies when they fling themselves. You also want to lay a 1/4 log spike wall out front to force the AI to jump at a distance that forces them into the spikes, Make sure to leave a funnel point so friendly AI can still path to your base. If it's a solid spike wall Kelvin and Virginia won't path inside. The spikes won't hurt Kel and Vir, but if there's no clear path there ai won't try to get back in the base
I'm glad your threw the bed down there. I always wondered if you could do it. Now, I know. LOL I saw the other cannibal, but I thought it was a bird. Then, he can and kicked you. That startled me.
Like I already said, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to surround the trunk of your tree house with defensive walls in order to avoid the enemies to hop on.
Nice defenses design. So stylish, so GameEdged. Cool. Question, can we put a ladder or ramp onto the water from your base? So you can down to drink water anytime. The illumination on the base is awesome. Will you put some lights on the entrance bridge too? Marking a nice pathway. But everything looks so good, GE. Waiting for the next episode. Stay safe 👋🏻
I've also noticed having 2 rows that face eachother works amazingly well. since they'll attempt to vault the first which pushes them into the 2nd row. which staggers them so they walk back into the first. and since the spikes face eachother its super safe and easy to replace any missing spikes. And without enough depth even the caterpillar mutant gets caught on em.
should have hit the sticks starting with the back row. once you hit the back row its out of your way to hit the one in front very quickly and a lot easier.
The reason for that is quite simple: An Archer usually hold the bow with his non dominant hand, so if you are left handed, you draw an arrow with your left hand while holding the bow in your right hand. The same would be true in reverse. Of course, as always, there are exceptions to this rule, but that is the gist of it.
You almost always use dominant hand for trigger control [string is trigger] same with rifles hold barrel with non dominant hand the dominant hand pulls trigger, i shoot bow the exact same way i am right handed.
I am a fan of the spikes, just not the look of all those rocks. I find it looks better with just on or two rocks on each spike. Game allows for the total of three, but the spike is enough reenforced with the first rock placed on it, enough so it will not tilt if you hit it.

LoL 👍Kelvin!!!! I think the wall looks great. We will see when it gets attacked 😁 Thanks GameEdged! You are the Best ❣

yeah because its the only tree in the area it can be used as a bait of sorts. 😈 I like it.
@@FR099Y Was my exact though. Bait and trap all in one.And if he puts the 'bonemaker' ones up there he won't even have to burn the bodies.
Well if you CAN put them on a platform and don't need actual 'dirt' to set them up... otherwise just spikes I guess.
Great game I enjoy watching it👍👍
Nice. Defences look awesome.
Awww Virginia wants to give you a hug! Even when you're building vicious spiky defences for your base! haha ... oh Virginia, sweet, but bad timing ...
OMG the front of your base looks stunning at night! I wish they made the spikes a blueprint one stick at a time is so tedious, but it looks fantastic you just have alot of work ahead lol Great job GE!
Love the base. It's coming along nicely!
heheh *puff* another ball of feathers . I cant help but giggle
good job keep it up
You don’t need to put the ramps on the spike wall if you put the two logs down and cover the top and bottom log with spikes, it saves a tonne logs
yes. and also having them spaced reasonably allows repair access when spikes break

Finally caught up🎉 the base is looking good👍👍
Kelvin can find your arrows for you if you've got him near where they were lost.
Looking good G.E.! Yeah, laying spikes has been mind numbing for me. My OCD... and they are difficult to place like I want lol. ❤️😁
loving watching you play dude keep em coming.so many logs
Poof another bird😂 very funny video and a superbly constructed wall defence. Can’t wait to see what the locals make if it.
It looks great !

I think the tree-house's diagonal-braces prevents double-enders and scissoring-mutants from one-hit demolition.

U should put a spike in front of the wall facing the wall so once they get hurt by the first one they move back a little and get hurt by that one

Insane defence
Virginia sometimes kicks a rabbit for food, but I hope she starts using the guns for it. Imagine her taking out an aggressive bear or moose.
I am lovin' your defensive wall. I can't wait to see how well it works. Thank you for all the hard work that you do. You are the best!! 😊🥰
Awesome video! Noticed a lot of focus on these games lately. Have you decided to stop some of your other games like green hell or mist?
you should dive your lake some day
Base is looking great, GE! Pretty impressive
should have hit the sticks starting with the back row. once you hit the back row its out of your way to hit the one in front very quickly and a lot easier.
So you can’t open the skin pouch it’s because you have to many small rocks
Looks amazing water base and defense too looks dangerous too 😂
that deer didnt want non of that, eh aint playin around and Calvin is the top G
Has anybody else realized he shoots the bow left handed but fights with everything else right handed?
@ben Braun, yes but it’s not uncommon.
The reason for that is quite simple: An Archer usually hold the bow with his non dominant hand, so if you are left handed, you draw an arrow with your left hand while holding the bow in your right hand. First
hellooo
Day 16 of telling everyone that I love this community
Ugh not you too! This defensive wall is totally overkill/not even that much better than other ways
GE saying don't kill women
But he's the one killing the woman from day one lol
They need to put more work into Virginia and kelvin's AI, they become so annoying i killed them
