Check put McCoy’s estate to the south-west of West Point. It’s remote, has a lake, 3 buildings, full blacksmithing setup, SEVEN ancient ovens and ELEVEN freezers. The main building is 3 floors, though no basement. Also generator spawn inside main building, chickens and an already setup farm area.
@@forsythia8717There's fuel just south. You dont need to run everything. I turn most of the lights off and disassmeble or store the freezers. That place is overkill.
That meadshite estate kinda looks like that one abandoned gated community called Wiltshire Estates in the walking dead comic book issue 8 just need a sign at the entrance that says “ALL DEAD DO NOT ENTER”😅
I’d throw in the Rusty Rifle Bar in Muldraugh. Multiple rooms, storage, a workshop, a garage, kitchen, nearby backyard farms with animals you can “requisition”, etc.
Oh forgot to mention, there is also a basement, I think it is a “built in”/always spawns basement. Not too big and sadly the barrels are decorative, but it looks nice. If they are ever made interactive, it could make for good boiled/fresh water storage.
I always preferred to base in the warehouse just up the road, or even better, the "Mass-Genfac Co" warehouse next to Smokeys at the other end of town. I like to base in industrial building.
The water fails with the rest of knox county so I am assuming the power does too. It was also empty when I found it. Nothing but a gas mask and cleaning solution. Loot was set to normal.
Neil's Farm just south of Echo Creek is another great spot. Several buildings for housing, a well in a centralized area along with a strong fence. You just have to patch the fence a bit and it's a great spot for an out of the way community. Another spot for the solo survivor: just past the river, right next to Neil's Pond is a lone cabin that's a murder scene. Fix up the door and you're good to go. Ignore the fact that the keys you find on the hippies at Neil's farm are labeled "Cultist's keys". There's nothing special about that. Not at all.
7:03 the neighborhood across the street is also a great base location for multiple people, only needing 3 gates to secure the base, as well as having not that many zombies nearby. It also has a lake
The bunker reminds me of the hidden "bunkers" on the Raven Creek mod map, one is a small survivor/preppers bunker on a island, the other is some sort of military lab/bunker in the middle of nowhere, theres also a weird maze you access from the train tunnel over the river in the port.
A nice place I’ve found is the hotel outside of Brandenburg; a few bedrooms upstairs, large kitchen, near to the river, secluded but still near a major town. Only real downside is the orientation and the lack of a built in garage.
Please keep telling us about new interesting places on the map. I'd love to see it! It's a pity that all this won't appear in the main game for at least a year, I think.
The Echo Creek Diner / Gas Station does sound nice, but since wire fence is no longer invincible, the bottom floor is too risky for my taste. I'll probably sledge the stairs and use the 2nd floor, open the wall and use the roof for farming, maybe build a walkway over to the gas pump. At least it feels doable if you have enough water and a place to grow food above ground. The bunker is a hard pass for me, knowing the fence can get torn down and you'll have swarms outside the bunker eventually breaking down all the defence and you have no where to go. The Muldraugh compound looks nice, hope the fences will hold. Not sure if the Fence-Box-Fence trick still work though, if that still works, then all I have to do is seal up the one window that opens to outside of the compound. This place is actually pretty fun for infiltration mission.
they glew up the office parks too, they now have supercomputer rooms and actual roof's, also theres a realistic holiday inn style hotel near the airport, also hank hills house is in irvington i tell you hwhat
My favorite base, not shown here, is the riverside park general store. Isolated enough to not have massive hordes but close to many small farmhouses & the riverside industrial area for looting. There's also a small restraunt called the beef Roundup nearby and a small camping/tackle store & home combo there too. All right beside a great forest for hunting & foraging needs and the Ohio river for infinite water & fishing
The far left of the map, it shows up as a gas icon on the fancy map at a new game, but its an isolated farm house on the main road between the two big towns. its where I relocated my gas station base after clearing out the new starter town.
amazing video, looking forward to more of these! gives me the same giddy feeling of starting up a new minecraft seed, so much potential to daydream about
Check out Neil's Farm! south of Echo Creek, basically a massive cult complex with animals, crops, and a main building that has a basement armoury. not overly populated either
I think there's an even greater farm right on the map's western border. It has a well, a two story ranch house, a garage, tool shed, an antique stove, an animal barn with pigs already there, an empty chicken coop, a full fence surrounding it, and a deep forest around it. The only downside to it is its distance from loot locations, with the closest being Ekron if you take an off-road shortcut across a field
A lot of the houses you mentioned being able to expand onto the roof actually have triangle roofs you weren't seeing because of noclip so they'd be kinda awkward to expand onto.
I hope they (or someone make a mod of this) adds for bunkers/basements a double-door hatch. So we can lock them incase zombies overrun the area. Think of those old farm ones, you get a chain + padlock and you can secure the doors once you close them. Reinforcing it so if you're downstairs, zombies won't just wander down. Ofc the doors and chain will get damaged but it should increase it's health a but since I doubt zombies can figure out how to open, let alone break them. And if you want to leave, simple get the key and unlock it! Or break it but that would be if you forgot the key. Lockpicking could also work if you're skilled. That way, underground would have its own way to be safe; like 2nd floor sheet rope methods. Because who would just have a door underground? Thats silly!
Hey Awpen! Cheers from Poland 🇵🇱 I've watched it till you made it to the bunker and gotta say, left a like, left subscribe all, but ceased to watch. Why? Well, why would I want to lose all of the exploring entertainment myself right? Great job though, thank you for your quality content ^^
