We ate at Trattoria al Forno for breakfast a while back (IIRC before the pandemic) and we really enjoyed it. The characters spent some quality time with our table, which my girls loved.

So do your parents just add your name to the reservation in order for you to get that early entry along with them? Trying to figure out a trip..... and my son goes to uf....
@@MichelleKatz76 yes that’s how they do it. They link his info to their reservation even if he’s not staying there. If the room can accommodate for people, then you can put their name like if you only have two people in your party but your room can accommodate for people you can add to party to your reservation. That way they can get early entry with you.

We’ve always rope dropped then spend a few hours at the pool and into another park ! We try to miss the middle of the day ! We’ve had breakfast at trattoria al forno several times ,but it wasn’t a character dinning ! Last time we went was pre covid and it was just ok , I prefer steak house 71 to be fair!

Trattoria Breakfast pizza paired with a Bloody Mary is a breakfast of champions! We stayed at the Boardwalk and our room was right above the door to the restaurant!
Al Forno has some great Calamari and Pizza. Their breakfast pizza is delicious too

Went to Disney and Universal two years ago and want to go back for more universal and other parks in a couple years but It’s crazy how much Disney you get. No Dis meant, just observation. I just spent a week in Branson MO and went to Silver Dollar City three times and was there once a month before and it got old. So with that said, question, does it ever get old for you?

When I last rope dropped Animal Kingdom, I was at the bus stop at 6:14 A.M. and I got to the park at 6:28 A.M. I was one of the very first few in line before it got crowded. Yes I had to wait, but we were let in at 7:12 A.M. and stopped at the bridge 4 minutes later! I was on Flight of Passage literally 11 minutes AFTER Early Entry began! I've heard rumors characters are supposed to return this year but so far, nothing.

I ate at the breakfast last year and got the French toast, oj, and fruit was very good and flight of passage rode twice in 2019 a different trip and rode safari 3 times in 2019 and I spent all day animal kingdom and still didn’t do everything
Trattoria is my favorite breakfast spot on property. Breakfast Pizza or steak and eggs! Can’t go wrong

If you know you know rope drop is a waste of time. It’s too early to go on rides. You may have a shorter line for the ride but when you add the traffic waiting to park and waiting in line to get in you are spending much longer in line. If you go a little later no line to park or get in. Plus you can enjoy yourself. Tip from a local AP 😊

@@KylePalIo maybe not at Animal Kingdom but you still wait in line to get in. Every other park you sit in traffic and in line to get in. I am an afternoon kind of guy. No traffic walk in and lines are short because all the rope droppers are leaving to take a nap lol 😂
I'm also a local AP and I disagree with this if you're trying to cover the entire park and have it done without any stress. You're on the most popular ride of the park within the first 5-10 minutes of the park's operating hours, or even before then if you're an early entry guest-- this saves you from having to stand in line an hour or more later on in the day when you'll want to be doing other things in the park. Standing in line all morning for early entry rope drop is just a way to create loads of extra time for what you want to get done during the park's operating hours throughout the day.
@@dev.1359 I only go for a few hours in the afternoon and can cover the whole park and the rides. I never spend a whole day at the park. If you need the whole day then rope drop away
@@jppurple98 I do the same pretty often, only works during slow season though...trying to do that now is tough unless you're buying Genie+ or buying ILL. Look at the data for Flight of Passage today-- the posted wait peaked out at 175 mins around 5:30pm. Slinky Dog was a 185 min wait by 6pm. Rise of the Resistance was a 100-120 min wait all afternoon. Tower of Terror was 50-70 mins all afternoon today. For people that aren't passholders and can only afford to come once a year or so, rope dropping this stuff is pretty valuable use of time.

Worst times to visit Walt Disney World. Summer, Easter, and Mid December. I am a former Cast Member and it was CRAZY those times.

Great rope drop - I can't believe all the people that got there so early!! I've never had breakfast at a sit down restaurant. I've been to Trattoria for dinner, the food was great, looks like breakfast is as good!!

Trattoria al Forno will be closed from June 11 to June 17, 2023 as it undergoes refurbishment. No dinner offerings will be available. However, Trattoria al Forno will provide a limited breakfast menu during those dates, with Guests who book breakfast being directed to dine in the Flying Fish dining room.

I would’ve loved to ride this but my calves were allegedly too big. Mind you, the cast member assisting me was so tiny. I would’ve loved someone to just force down the leg restraints.

It was great seeing your mom and Alexa today. I hope they both have a safe trip home. Last time I went to Disney It was right after animal Kingdom open, and they had the journey of the jungle book show. My parents and I stayed at a Wyndham safari resort and they told us there first thing in the morning because that’s when the animals are active

When we go in to the great queues, I take my time to enjoy all the work and details. The ride isn't worth it, otherwise.

Early entry rope drop is always the way to go
We basically walked on Flight of Passage in April and didn't rope drop. I think the rope drop crowd was done at that time. And Everest was a walk-on, as was Safari. The longest ride we waited for was Navi, close to an hour.
Gina, the reason why the Safari is the longest sometimes in the morning is because the animals are more active compared to later in the afternoon

I don't recall. It wasn't bad at all though. My breakfast pizza was $14. If you like iced coffee, you have to try it. It was delicious!!!

Sad to see that Trattoria Al forno no longer has characters. That was the one surprise of our trip that my daughter didnt know about. She absolutely loves Rapunzel and Flynn and it was perfect. The food was amazing too!!!! I had the steak and eggs too. Did you guys not get the pastries?

I feel bad for the animals.. they don’t belong in captivity unless it’s a rescue? If not, it makes no sense, because Didn’t Disney narrate how animals move through the kingdom and how it takes them months to forage and hunt and the things they go through in the wild to travel for whatever reasons. It takes months. Cannot do this in captivity. Many indigenous things they normally do are not possible unless they are free to do it which clearly they’re not here people feed them I’m sure so they can’t even do what they normally do in their natural habitat which is to hunt so it’s kind of sad unless of course again this is some kind of rescue that I’m not aware of 🤷🏻♀️

That was a rope drop success! I have rope dropped Flight before and still waited 3 hours! It's the ultimate combo to do the Safari too! AK has really turned into a 1/2 day park again - Great idea for breakfast! Not too far from the parks either!
