Yeah that was my only complaint with mayhem difficulties but they did add mayhem 11 which was mayhem 10 without the modifiers and you got slightly less loot or XP or something. But it was a tad late by the time they added that in
I agree with most of these but I strongly disagree on the life steal mechanic, to me it has been intrinsic to the games since the intro of the moxie weapons back in bl2
How about make all skills work at launch. Even if it's not popular. Make nova shields not suck. Make all action skills powerful and not just something used to proc an anointment. If your class has a pet is should never be a useless toaster like Deathtrap.
Agree, BL3 leans way too much on anointments and passives. I’m not farming a legendary com, I’m farming passives. I’m not farming gear, I’m farming eridium to reroll anointments. All of this equals less fun. Wonderlands went even harder on these features, and it was WAY worse. Those stupid rings and necklaces…man I hated that.
I am not against nerfes or putting the item to it's intended working level, but making things useless is really something else. I don't mind annoints at all
I'm hoping they learned their lesson with Wonderlands giving it a Teen rating. I'm pretty certain BL4 will go back to a Mature rating. The only thing I think they should keep is the option to find different outfits/armor so that you can customize the look of your character while managing stats and or abilities
I feel like they need sub rarities all over the game like the glitch rarities. We got the timekeeper. Let's have some rewind effects on the guns. Bullets come out a portal to fire the same bullets you just shot while reloading. The magazine could instantly be refilled. Dlc around come we could cursed or blessed rarities .cursed would sacrifice health but deals massive damage while blessed heals while increasing firerate.
@Chadly99 I also have idea where we can level up the gun. No grinding weapon xp . Just using lv scaling damage. When that special gun like the nukem doesn't hit like it used to; if you want you take some Eriduim and bring up the weapon lv so you can enjoy you're favorite weapon as much as you want or afford to...
I agree with the wonderland complaint. I also hated the multiclassing in that game it made it impossible to find class mods that were actually useful or some just didn't exist
The problem with the root was it’s like quintuple dipped as every time the root particles changed directions it was spawning a new projectile. If they just got rid of double dipping it wouldn’t be as big of a problem
I wholeheartedly disagree with the gear/weapon scaling. If part of the endgame is to do difficulty increases, then gear should increase with it because in that same scenario that you are suggesting if you have the BIS gear for your build you have zero reason to find anything else. So if all gear is the same level, you would never need to use it.
I couldn't agree more bro, bl3 I felt like gave us way to many legendaries from enemies, not enough dedicated drops or anything, but the problem for me was fighting raid bosses or big endgame bosses and they dropped too little or nothing of importance, id be perfectly happy if the loot system was between bl2 and bl3. I want a legendary to feel legendary and I do sure they bring pearls back. We need it and they better be useful cause only a few pearls were better then legendarys

@themachoechidnaugandarandy7583 i never said that it wasn't silly, I like having dedicated legendaries to farm from a specific boss, it was just most legendaires were useless or what felt like most didn't even have a dedicated or unique drop which I hated.
Ty for saying modifiers are plaguing these loot based games. If there is one thing on this list that should be implemented, it is for sure no stupid modifiers. No idea who started this trend but I absolutely hate that every single one of these loot games feel the need to do it. And you are 100% right, they just are not fun.
yeah, honestly I’ve gone back to BL3 lately because of mayhem 11. Just get tiring trying to make a build that works in some games, then a random modifier nullifies your build…fun.
It would be somewhat different if there was an incentive to use modifiers. IE actual better loot drops (not quantity but quality). Or an at least a chance for special item/key/etc to drop to build or craft the exact legendary you want or open a chest with perfect god roll items. But, I’d just see a hundred yellow legendaries drop and most the time, 100 of them are average at best.
They should add an option for loot randomizer, not like bl2 mods but like have random weapons drop from all sources i.e. a smog smg from a chest or something like that but no norfleet shotguns type thing
I find the whole character looking bland controversy so stupid. The characters had never been super flashy to me it's always been about the customization you do to the characters break some flashy. Because they're literally supposed to be NPCs that just came in went going I'm going to get this loot. And most older trailers for mainly three I'd say showed up different skins and whatnot which made it seem more flashy because there was more color into the world. So I think the character is going to be look perfectly fine once you start customizing them how you want like you have in every game
The entire point of mayhem difficulties was to prolong the life of the game and let people enjoy the game for more time. And if you don't make enemies higher level than the character then you're just blowing through everything like it's a piece of paper. And by having weapons be mayhem level going higher and getting more crazy makes it where you can have something to achieve to. It this list is kind of just a complaint about things that make games have a longer life
Most of stuff they nerfed in borderlands 3 was just broken and buggy it wasn't that it was too powerful. Most of the stuff they were just fixing. And most of that stuff was towards the end game more or towards the end of the skill trees that most people didn't have access to other people that were no Life in it. So the nerves that happened within the first month of BL3 or perfectly fine for me and I was no life in that game I think people are just blowing shit out of proportion because they have nothing better to do
Overall a perfect list If gbx had not needed a single gun in the game almost no gun would be broken Most dlc guns are uber strong, any gun or ability they nerfed would just be kinda on par Also rly wish that we do not have the classroom issue day 1 where all classmods for a character suck ass I mean Zane had NOTHING Fl4k had also joke classmods It was RLY bad

I understand the modifiers in mayhem difficulties. 100% 70% of them suck. But overall I do like mayhem. This is from playing early borderlands games or even Diablo 3 for example where you got to be the whole game again to get to the next difficulty That's what it mayhem reminded me of and it gave me one hell of challenge which I think is fun. I get toning down the modifiers but I do like having some type of difficulty increase because of some crazy game mechanics. But you should be able to turn those on or off at least and then just like other comments saying decrease XP or loot chance. I could be in the minority with liking all this crap but hey you don't have to play it if you don't want to it's just an extra thing they added in the game for people to keep playing
I'd love taking from Genshin Impact and have where can switch the Vault Hunters. Mainly for single player mode. Also adding more Vault Hunters with DLC could be fun and expand on who you want in your team of 4.
I wouldn’t mind a way to get through the campaign quicker or skip it entirely and subsequent characters. More VH’s as dlc is a must over the first year or so for sure
You know you don't have to play the mayhem levels to keep playing the game right? The whole point a mayhem levels is the give the game more playability and people things to do. If you don't like it just don't do it. I thought they were fun I was having a hell of a time some people like to grind other people don't. Just don't play mayhem difficulty if you have that much of an issue with it.
Am I the only one who thinks that BL4 playable characters look uninspired. Like the only character that looks kinda of cool is the muscle guy. Even then is he just look generic.
The only thing that bothers me is their proportions in the main lineup make them look like table top action figures. Besides Zero and Flak, none of the vault hunters have looked all that crazy in retrospective. It’s always been the skins that make the characters look cool once we get the games
Lol I literally have no clue I've been completely out of the loop with this game. I've not heard really anything, and I personally haven't heard anyone talk about it. Just somthing I noticed, and felt.
i'll take it a step further and say there shouldn't be any nerfs at all, just buff all the weaker weapons, there's always been a beyond myriad of weaker weapons in these games that would be good if not for their pure statistical values i don't want another bl2 where like 5 weapons are really usable endgame without the use of glitches or exploits
i think i have to fundamentally disagree with the talk of mayhem scaling, people forget that before mayhem scaling was introduced, moze's iron bear, fl4ks pet & zaynes clone and drone were all terrible, they either killed less efficiently than guns, couldn't kill at all or were next to useless since other action skills in their kit were better like mayhem scaling just purely positively affected the characters and build diversity like, i played bl3 at launch, you wanna know what everyone was running back then, it was either elemental stacking because of the extra projectiles it used to give you or; amara - facepuncher + white elephant fl4k - dictator + fade away zane - cutsman + drone & shield moze - ammo regen build + red tree there was next to no diversity, you joined other people and their builds would all be one of those

@GenocideLv i mean you aren't wrong about it looking uninteresting, though im more in the I'll wait and see how it plays first before i lean one way or the other. gameplay comes first for me in bl, only way i can get through 3's story...
Max level 72. I hate waiting for the updates. Regrinding just means playing the game with each character and wait a year.
Just put a on/off toggle on all modifiers so if you want you can just chose what you want to play with
I agree. They could make each mod a xp and loot buff or debuff. Bring back dk mode at a reduced xp and loot.
Yeah that was my only complaint with mayhem difficulties but they did add mayhem 11 which was mayhem 10 without the modifiers and you got slightly less loot or XP or something. But it was a tad late by the time they added that in

From their posts from the official BL account on twitter, I think it will be back to M
The problem is that gearbox never learn with their mistakes, they prove that many times, so is kinda scary that bl4 gonna suffer the same
