Tanaka who scored the goal and Mitoma who gave assist to him have been best friend since 6. They went to the same elementary and junior high school and shared the same dream; to make it to the World Cup. I have a hard time understanding people who criticize or mock Japan for playing defensive football. Spain and Germany are the best teams in the world. I think we should rather praise the strategy of the Japanese coach, who managed to withstand the offensive of such strong teams and win with an efficient counter attack. As for the 2nd goal. The rule is "it's still in if the ball touches the line from the top/side view". Whether the bottom part of the ball is over the line or not doesn't matter.
FIFA even issued an official breakdown of the goal on their twitter account. There you can see a top view footage that shows the ball still barely but clearly touched the line.
min 01:20 you can see it is not touching and by a consistent distance, at least 1cm, if not 2 - extremely visible...put the video on slow if you can't catch the moment and you can use a tool to check ball's projection on the ground ..maybe the ball's projection is touching a line, but not the line of this stadium

"TOP" should be defined, what angle related to the field...The referee can't see the ball from "top", 90 degrees related to the field, because he is not exactly where the ball is.
