I'm a postie and have just watched this in utter disbelief. These 3 clowns all took an oath at the begining of the meeting and have lied throughout. They bring shame on all the hard working posties who try to do the best for the customer every day, whilst working in a culture of bullying and of constant increasing pressure with unreasonable demands from management. As another poster has said they make us look like "the worst postal service I have ever come across". Thats such a shame for all of us who where once proud to work for Royal Mail.

I work for the Royal Mail in an admin role and I was rejoicing yesterday at the way Thompson, Macauley and Williams were squirming. It makes my blood boil that the Royal Mail is led by these incompetent bullies. Half the systems we use, along with the IT provision is not fit for purpose. Asset stripping and cost cutting, so they can line their own nests, is the only thing they're interested in. On a side note, I think Macauley is worse than Thompson. As a parcelforce worker, these 3 muppets are destroying a once great company. We are all under so much pressure. As soon as the day starts, the managers are on our case, so as soon as we walk in, the depot moral is already down. I have been working 25 years and never had so much stress at work. And alot of days i am depressed at home thinking about the next working day. I keep thinking of leaving but i love doing my job. But not in this situation i just hope things change for the better. Just wanna say a big think you to my partner and son for putting up with my bad moods due to bad days at work. They support me fully and thats the only reason i still wake up and go to work.

The problem is I’ll regularly get an alert that I’m speeding, whilst walking, in a 30mph zone, it’s that inaccurate and it is in real time, because I once stopped to take a phone call from my bank after me card was cloned and a manager called me an asked why I’d not moved for ten minutes

Live is a false term in this scenario. The data is collected. When you retrieve it is open. 1 second later you could say its not live. Its the collection of the data that is the issue, not how frequently they check it. (If its logged it can be checked immediately, it is all logged)

I often hear " I wasn't expecting this yet, I only ordered it yesterday.
These people don't give a toss about the front line staff. While they are eating out in the finest restaurants you'll still be on delivery. No wonder they don't think they'll need so many redundancies, posties are leaving in their droves and the USO is failing completely with these people thinking casual workers can pick up the slack. Most of whom flee when they realise the work involved.
Every senior manager with postal experience has been dumped, to be replaced by graduate yes men to scared or ignorant to disagree with them.

Simon Thompson lies again. Royal Mail 100% prioritises their own 'tracked' parcels/letters. Posties are told to not bring back tracked items and therefore to prioritise them. If you do bring back tracked parcels, managers won't be happy and they will panic and try to find someone to go back out and clear them on overtime, whereas the letters the postie brought back are unlikely to be sent back out that day, they will be delivered the following day. Their excuse about not wanting to have backlogs of bulky parcels is valid to an extent, but not all tracked parcels are large, many are small, some may even be letter sized - but they will always be prioritised.

    • @footyball66

At no point was I allowed to give full details of my grievances. When I was bullied and harassed HR pointed me down the grievance route rather than making a bullying and harassment case, which was badly handled and ultimately not upheld, and I appealed which did give at least some accountability but ultimately I still went back to work under his management. Tracking is being sought for letters, especially, hospital letters, doctors, dentist, pharmacy, , many institutions want tracking on letters, like banks, water companies, energy providers, and especially local government councils etc, and also imagine, the next step, tracking on door to door, items, imagine the difficulty when prepping x double slots, more time, marking, where item to go to, , Sunday working to compete will be compulsory, no x provision for religious beliefs, that's discriminatory not allowing choice, its a slippery slope, the board are on.. Very slippery , next on cv it will ask the question, what religion are you , and penalise people on religious grounds too, like it's already , ageist, in that regard, start young, break you, get rid of you, not help or assist you properly, drum you out, quicker , surplus, useless, forgetting you gave your life, you are a human being, sound familiar.
