When shopping for a used single mast lift like this, what are some signs to walk away? Things that are not worth repairing? Electrical, hydraulic lines/valves im fine working on, but beyond that wouldnt want to end up with a lemon.

I have an older jlg 1932 scissor lift , last inspection date was 96, to estimate year of machine, not known. Unit needs batteries at the moment which are crazy expensive now. I only use this around my home working on my house. I want to know if it would be feasible to put a 24 volt power supply to power it on shore power 120v? It seems doable but not sure how many amp power supply i would need to power it. It use to drive and go up and down while plugged in when the batteries were depleted but i guess the batteries are really dead cause it doesn't have enough juice to function properly now even when plugged in. What do you think?
Shit bro I seen someone drive on to a pothole while maxed out in the air. That guard getting stuck mid pothole was the only thing kept that scissor from flipping over, shit was crazy
I have gs1930 that is stuck in high speed even when you are up in the air. i changed the pothole switch still did not change. my next question is the code reader is that availble for the public to buy and are they brand spacific becauce i a have genie,mec,and jlg.
Mmm almost sounds like the wiring wrong and the switches are staying closed at all times. Go up on the air hit them with a volt meter run it on continuity and touch both leads of the limit switch wires see if it reads a closed circuit But the analyzer you see on my videos is specifically for JLG only Depending on the year of the genie some have a onboard at the Gcon that will throw you the code
@@handymanny214 do not move on the ground i have one more is 1930 moved the control and the charger from the 2632 to the 1930 and programe the control board to 1930 and move like 5 seconds and stop and did the same thing .so i charge the batterys 100 % and work fine after, so i assuming the 2632 was low on battery ? any website wher i can buy the control and charger is missing both on my 1930 genie
Hey bro, I have a 3220 skyjack scissor lift, has been sitting for about 20 years replace the batteries, goes forward and backwards, but will not lift , I think I have a short on my connection on the control box control. Do you have any idea why it will not lift it will go up when I control it on the bottom where the hydraulic pump is, but not on the controls. Have any idea what it is, appreciate it if you have any tips.
Wassup bro could be a couple things, first thing I would check is the wiring inside the control box maybe a dropped wire even the toggle switch itself, what year?

Hello! Mmmm sounds like you have a short along the chassis harness. I’d go Up and wait for it to mess up then check power with volt meter from one end of the harness to the other wire per wire . See if you have a wire loosing power. Specially if it’s not coding out The way you explain it sounds like it’s stretching out as it lifts and when you come back down the wire touch again and gives you temporary power.
2030ES does everything except forward! The lift goes up and down. It goes backward. It turns completely either direction. When I try to go forward it won't move and I have to reset with a error code 775. I read the manual but that doesn't tell me shit! Any help?

Hey man, I have a jlg 1930es, when I lift it about 3-4 feet, the pothole guards come down and everything continues to work as it should, but when I lift it above a certain height.. seems like 5-6 ft or higher, it will no longer drive while in the air. I’m trying to work at 15ft and I have to lower it down to 3-4 feet before it will move for me. Any suggestions? Thanks man
So a couple things depending on the year of the unit the older units pothole guards would come down but from inside the unit the rust would prevent the spring from pushing down on the switch on the inside. So if one switch is clicking and the other one is not a symptom like this might occur, another thing is does it blink a lightning symbol on the top controller? Or do you get a red light symbol saying the machine is at angle ?? Sometimes the tilt sensors go bad.
The lightening symbol will flicker but it doesn’t flash any consistent pattern that I’ve noticed. I think the lift is about 7-8 years old, seems like it’s in decent shape.
Check your limit switches on both sides also check that metal pipe that the platform lands on sometimes they get stuck might see some ruff edges on the part of it that's inside the machine if you see those sand them smooth

Not off the back, but with a serial number could pull that service manual and read out the code or with a analyzer

I would check the lift up Valve and trace back the wires that activate that valve and look for anything that might not look right

Biggest problems is the certified operators using them and water,dirt lack of battery maintenance and control cables getting pinch/crushed

You probably have to level the Crak points trough analyzer
