Just a note, it's completely fine to trade as many pins with a cast member at their discretion, but if you meet a real stickler for the rules they will only trade 2 pins per guest, as that's what we're taught (most of us don't stick to it though)
They often let children trade what they want, but adults for sure are usually limited to two no matter what park. If you're polite, patient and quiet while waiting your turn though they'll sometimes let you do more.
Sweet Golden Dreams yes that would be awesome!! I will be doing a giveaway very soon as well so keep an eye out if your interested I have some information on my channel for it as well!!! Thanks so much!!
Gabrielle Hopkins that’s the general rule but cast members vary, I once became friends with a board trader in the French quarter and he traded with me around 10 times
Not every cast member that does blind trades will show you the pins if you can answer a question. I love trivia so I would always ask if they had a question and some will say "no I only do blind trades"
I love this video! My daughter and I are coming to WDW in march, I can't wait to pin trade for the first time. I loved seeing the open area in Epcot to trade, and to keep an eye out for hidden Mickeys!
Great video!!!😄👏🏼 it’s was SO SO SOOOO very helpful for us newbies! I have the blue Disney 2018 spinner pin that they showed near the beginning and I was thrilled!!!!
Yay!!!!! That’s awesome! You will enjoy so much! I know it! Thank you so much for watching! Consider subscribing if you haven’t already. Welcome to the family!!! 💛✨✨💛☺️☺️☺️
Wow how cool!!! I've never seen pin traders set up before that was cool to see! I just recently got into pin trading and it's so much fun! I can't wait to get back into the parks and trade again! New to your channel btw can't wait to see more videos! :)
YAY!!! Welcome to the family! Super happy that you are here! Yes, pin trading is VERY fun! We were just at Epcotthe other day, and there were different people set up with their boards and books trading their hearts away. ☺️⭐️
Love this! I’m a new trader as well (last couple months) and have become obsessed. I’ve spent a lot of money but I’ve also saved a lot of money by trading with others on pin trading Facebook groups. Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic video! We absolutely love pin trading, it is one of the boys favorite activities to do on our trips and we get to bring home great new pins!!!
Yes! We are shamelessly addicted to Disney pin trading now! My kids wanted to pin trade in between every ride! ⭐️ Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words! 💛
I’m really enjoying your videos guys! Looks likes you guys have a new addiction and you seem to have the hang of it!!! Keep up the awesome work guys xx
Great video. Ahh! Checking the back of pins! I had no idea. We are new to pin trading, so this video was really helpful. One tip we learned on our last trip is that there are pin lots on ebay for pretty cheap and then you have a collection to trade, so you don't have to pay full price for pins in the park.
So glad you liked the video! We love pin trading now. Our lanyards are ready to go for our next trip! 💛 Yes, the backs of the pins will tell you a lot!
The pin lots on eBay on fakes and while the cast members will trade with you the actual collectors won’t. Fake and scrapper pins are a huge problem and it’s pretty easy to tell the fakes especially now that Disney puts vin numbers on the pins. You are better off buying starter stets or mystery packs to start trading unless you don’t care your collection is worth nothing money wise.
I would much rather pay $1 a pin than pay $10 a pin and get a scrapper when trading. I don’t trade for value. I collect pins that I enjoy. It’s the fun of it for me.
@@JMC01644 it ruins it for people who trade real Disney pins, for other real Disney pins, the eBay lots suck, they should have cast members check and trained to see if the pin is real or not
You are totally welcome! Haha no way! My videos are terrible, I'm just lucky I have a crazy personality lol I am not allowed to be addicted, but I always sneakily buy some haha!
If your pin said something like 1 of 4 that just means there are 4 pins to that set but there are 1000’s of those exact same set. So each pin in that set has 1000’s of that same pin. It doesn’t mean there are only 4 of that one pin. Sorry!
It’s likely 1-4 in a set there are pins however that have limited edition sizes, different from limited release, limited edition pins will say Limited of 1000, 500, 250, 100, 50, etc
My favorite tip is to always watch out for Cast Members with pins. Because sometimes the have pins you cannot find anywhere else. My kids love being able to trade pins. I would also say, buy locking backs online to keep pins from falling off lanyards and getting lost.
You know, I like pin trading because they are little souvenirs that you don't need to pay for. You buy a couple, and the latch around your neck, then you trade your little heart out! You can pick out which ones you WANT, rather than having a generic souvenir you're probably never going to touch again.
Yes! You NEED to do that! ⭐️ That area in Epcot is the only Disney approved area for that type of set up. But you can trade around the parks if you have your pins on you, or with you. Obviously the amount you could reasonably carry. That pin trading area tho, was incredible!!!! 💛
Sweet Golden Dreams yes I just started in March I went to Disneyland for my bday and started and I’m so super lucky bc my friend invited me to go to Disneyland again for her parents anniversary and they’re big pin traders so I’m trying to learn how to get better at it:)
That's awesome!!!!! Pin trading is very addicting. Once you start, there is no going back! :D Hope you have lot's of fun on your upcoming trip! Thank you so much for watching!
My pleasure! Thank you so much for watching! Have you seen the Tokyo Disney videos? Disney has 2 parks in Japan! You don’t want to miss those! They are in my Japan trip playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PLmRt2IQeMwOLN8YujR0i3raT0O1EmcLO-
Disney sells different starter lanyards. The lanyards by itself is sold in the parks for between $10 and $15.The Lanyards with about 4 pins included are sold for $29.99. Thank you for watching!
Yes! Those pins are amazing, right? The lady who trades them is a fan of the Little Mermaid and she gave us great tips about pins! Thank you for watching! ☺️👍
It depends on the pin. There are pins from many different price levels, rare pins, etc. Even the limited edition pins have different price categories. There are websites where you can do a search on specific pins and check out the value. I suggest that you do a Google search. Good luck, and thank you for watching! 💛☺️

We filmed this throughout the different parks at Walt Disney World. But Epcot is the only park where guests can come and set up a stand for trading large quantities of pins.
I've noticed that we can buy them. But recently (a couple of weeks ago) I was trading with a manager, and he took out brand new hidden mickeys out of his pocket, still in the plastic, and I had not seen those for sale.

Very true. Lately they have been doing this more.
Just so you know sometimes they do limit how many you can trade. At the California park you can only trade 2 pins ☺️
Oh wow! 😮 This was not our experience at WDW! But will keep that in mind. Thank you for watching!
Some cast members are more picky about it than others. As long as you're polite and don't take too much it should be fine
John Midkiff but most guests don’t want to trade for some pins
They often let children trade what they want, but adults for sure are usually limited to two no matter what park. If you're polite, patient and quiet while waiting your turn though they'll sometimes let you do more.
I noticed that too! At the Anaheim park you can only trade 2 at a time, and no duplicates
Awesome video well put together I love that you got your tips directly from cast members. Thanks for sharing!!
Oh! Thank you! We had a blast pin trading!!! Did you want to be part of the giveaway? Please let me know! We have a video explaining it. ☺️

Gabrielle Hopkins yeah you're right
Not every cast member that does blind trades will show you the pins if you can answer a question. I love trivia so I would always ask if they had a question and some will say "no I only do blind trades"
That’s correct. A lot of them will show the mystery pin with trivia, some don’t. One time I had to sing a song so I could see it... 😂
I love this video! My daughter and I are coming to WDW in march, I can't wait to pin trade for the first time. I loved seeing the open area in Epcot to trade, and to keep an eye out for hidden Mickeys!

Another tip, you shouldn’t get the single packs because you can get many more if you buy a pack with at least 4 or 5 for the same price
True!!!!!
I just looked and I have a 1 out of 5
Great video and tips! Didn’t know tip #6 was an option for the mystery pins, cool!!! Thanks for offering this giveaway! :)

I have 2 lotso pins, a heart lotso, and normal lotso, what’s the worth?
I don't know the value. I have seen only a few of those. There are sites that you can look that up tho.

How much is a pin from 2012 worth?

Yes, two is the general rule, but it really depends on the cast member. Some are more flexible with that.
Sweet Golden Dreams yeah i guess so
I interpreted that as meaning you can trade as much as you want during your trip and come back and trade again etc.
I still don't understand the first tip
Come on kids..get your fake pins..
U can get hidden mickey pins any where that's a lie
Yea fake ones
I've noticed that we can buy them. But recently (a couple of weeks ago) I was trading with a manager, and he took out brand new hidden mickeys out of his pocket, still in the plastic, and I had not seen those for sale.
I got 17 stitch pins if u can give me some I will be so happy
We are very attached to our Stitch pins... ;)
Shame those kids probably came home with a truckload of fakes thanks to the ebay bulk lots ruining it -_-
not to brag but i have over 3000 pins thats why i am seeing seeing this video again not to brag also i collect with my sister so all together
Wow!!!
Can you buy lanyards and pins at Disneyland Paris?
You can definitely buy pins and I’m pretty sure you can get lanyards too!
