    I got so sad and mad watching this show, seeing them having panic attacks and crying was heartbreaking. These are kids just having fun on the internet ! Is it true that there are other people/artists that deserve the opportunities they are getting ? Yes. Is it the fault of the D’Amelio girls ? Absolutely not. It’s so sad that they keep from doing things because they are scared of the unnecessary hate they are anticipating they will get !
    Also I feel like they are so not protected, the managers are just taking advantage of them and THE PARENTS, don’t get me started on the parents ! Your kid is presented with I don’t know how many binders and told “this is everything you are doing this year, all work for you !” And all you have to say is “make sure to fit dance in please!” You are supposed to protect her and take care of her, not leech off of her

    Everything you said is so true. People made them famous…..100 million of them. Then once you make them famous you start to hate them and feel the need to say cruel things to them? If you are hating on a teenager as a grown adult, you need to take a look at yourself because you’re the problem, not them. It has to revolve around some sort of jealousy, but this is life. I literally cried watching this video. They’re just kids having fun.
    I’m a bit younger than them and I can understand wanting to have fun/helping your family, but doing it at a cost. I’m practically failing school because I can’t bring myself to do work, I zone out in classes and I’m almost late to school because I cry in the car because of social anxiety. But nobody thinks there’s a “good enough” reason for me to feel that way. And nobody tries to take any burden big or small off of my back.

      Same but I also can't imagine why she would want to be famous... I don't know if it's because I have social anxiety on top of severe anxiety. Nothing is worth that anxiety and fear and just the constant thoughts about what could happen or all the awful things they might say if she's that sensitive to me. People who don't suffer from any kind of mental health issues will never truly understand. And cruel people on the internet will apologize for 5 seconds and then go say something cruel to someone else. I learned a long time ago that nothing someone ever says about me isn't something I haven't thought about myself at one point in life which isn't good but I've heard it all and so how in the world would some strangers who don't know me and use the grammar of a 5 year old saying mean things be hurtful. I guess you toughen up after and cause these people on the internet can't win. Like you don't think I can sing... 'I'm too busy thinking about what I'll buy with all the money I make from people like you listening to it just to hate on to care what you think.' She gives them way too much power. Any insult they throw at her... just be like yeah I may be but at least I'm not out here bullying a person with mental health issues for no reason. Then they look stupid and they'll apologize and tell her how much they love her. Once you understand who these people are it's actually just sad that they're so unhappy with their own lives they have to try and ruin someone else's day.

  • @kealops

    Started crying. My heart goes out to them! I frequently struggle with panic attacks too, but I don't have to deal with all of the hate that comes with being well known on social media. I'm lucky enough that my English teacher (who also deals with panic) is willing to work with me and make adjustments/find alternatives to certain assignments. I can't do peer reviews, especially for rough drafts. (It's the all-or-nothing attitude that I get when it comes to homework. If my homework isn't fully finished, I would rather not turn it in and get a zero rather than turn it in as is and at least get _some_ points. A rough draft is pretty much just an unfinished paper! And with that there's also the worry of my classmates judging my work.) Especially when I'm presenting my paper to multiple people in person. I just can't do that. This time, there's another student who can't be in class tomorrow for the peer review, so we're going to read each other's and provide feedback online. I'm so grateful to have a teacher who understands and will help me figure things out

    6:18 I’ve struggled with debilitating anxiety and panic disorder with agoraphobia since I was very young (I was passing out from panic attacks from 1st grade onward)… I’m a bit older and I had to wait until college to have some “accommodations” made to help me to be able to attend school at all. The biggest weight off of my shoulders was being exempt from giving presentations in class and also from randomly being called on during class. There were some other modifications they made for me to help me, but I am glad to hear that they have started to offer this more to kids in school. It was a long wait and a fight for me, and it still would be but it’s nice to hear schools are starting to “get it” a bit more. I didn’t miss classes because I was lazy or any of the other reasons they assume, I was in my car genuinely paralyzed and physically unable to get out of my car, after stopping to puke 4-5 times on my way there.

    teenagers preach about mental health when it comes to their own. clips that posted on TikTok is super viral, people find that dixie having a breakdown is funny, said she's dramatic, people says charli having a panic attack is so fake, all for clout and all sorts of messed up stuff. Im 17 and im guy, seeing people shitting on both go them really makes my blood boil, they're so unproblematic and nice I don't understand how people can be so so cruel to them. I cannot imagine what will happen in 20 years if people like them stay the same. its truly disappointing. people that throw shit to them always have a "mental health is important" "positive only" all these nice things on their profile but on the other hand they are bullying these people. Where I will never say people “deserve internet hate” because no one does, I feel like there is no point of this show.
    These girls are not in a good mental state and they should NOT be put in such a bright spotlight.
    A show could be so much wiser to focus on multiple cases of people with mental health issues and how they learn to cope with it rather than put such focus on one family. It would expand on several types of mental health and keep the stress low on the individual families by dividing the focus.
    It would be more productive and much more helpful rather than over dramatic the way the show makes it.

      @fellix7531 2 года назад +4

      Actually, I think the girls were the one who wanted the show? I'm not very sure but from what I've heard/seen, they did it to bring awareness to mental health in general or their own. (Sorry i forgot) Even if it was focused on one family, it would still be immensely helpful since it may help to reduce the haters since some are acc willing to change, or atleast let the two get some weight off their shoulders. Besides, the show IS about them so why would they involve other families (unless they wanted to)?

Anxious teenagers who are breaking from social media pressure. And it deeply bothers me how the parents aren’t helping their daughters, pushing aside their feelings and panic attacks- making money off their daughters even after they see how much they are hurting. I’m not confirming this is happening because even though it’s a reality show you cannot exactly tell how people are. And what’s worse is that if they come off social media they’ll only get more paps and fame because when you have so many followers like that it’s impossible to escape. ‘Fame is very agreeable but the bad thing is it happens *24 hours* a day’ So in summary, no they are not lucky and yes, they need to be respected no matter what.

Because we know it happens but it's not addressed as raw as it was addressed in the show. Many celebrities in reality tv water mental illness and the parents in those shows don't be as involved as their parents are and I love that. Too many of these shows about young stars they quickly glaze over these topics. But they put it all on blast. Showing the good comments and following it with negative comments so we can see how the negative comments stand out more than the positive ones. I'm not a fan of theirs. But they do not deserve the unnecessary hate they keep receiving. It's just people being annoyed she got famous so quick and trying to defame them emotionally.
