  • On July 24th 2010 a BBC camera crew arrived at Yorkshire Air Ambulance HQ to film the team as part of the Helicopter Heroes series.
Shortly before 7am, emergency medical dispatcher, Chris Solomons, arrived at work feeling unwell.
Chris's colleagues assessed him and it quickly became apparent he was suffering from a massive heart attack.
Within minutes Chris had gone into cardiac arrest and his colleagues and a cameraman immediately began the battle to save his life - using CPR and an AED.
Meanwhile, the cameras stayed rolling and captured this remarkable footage.
With thanks to the BBC and Chris Solomons.

It also shows how important it is for everyone to learn how to deliver high quality CPR and have an AED nearby. This could happen in any office setting not to mention at home or elsewhere.

The title is misleading, this is Yorkshire HEMS, not London.

Yorkshire is a county within the uk unless of course your making some kind of heartless sick joke about someone having a cardiac arrest

Could be light levels, could be that they start the pre-flight checks at 0700, and they take time to do - and *must* be done before putting the helicopter up otherwise you risk the crew *and* any patients they might attend.
