Thanks for the video. I’ve got three tripods. Two are alloy Velbrons, one’s had a hard life. I’ve had it for around 25 years, using it for videoing sports, and the other I bought 5 years ago for £11 second-hand. It had never been used. I’ve recently bought a lightweight 3-Legged Thing for shoots. I’m getting old and weight is a problem. I use the two alloy Velbrons in my little macro studio. As you, so rightly, say, there’s no need to pay a fortune for a tripod unless you’re a pro. They last and last if looked after. I suppose I sound like a cheapskate, but I don’t regard that as a criticism. If it’s not a lens or camera, it’s cheap.

There's definitely no need to go for a really expensive or heavy duty one if the cheaper ones serve your purpose well.✌🏼️
