As a Packer fan I'll take this guy over Eddie Lacy and James Starks..This guy is a beast. And the total package. Great vision, great agility, can catch the ball out of the backfield, can truck you, can make you miss in the open field, and has enough speed to run away from you. What a monster. Definitely a steal for the Cards.

"Once a riverking always a riverking" it was so fun watching David in high school! I was in 6th grade when I seen him play Friday nights and it was so amazing he would truck so many guys and run so patiently wait for his blocks read holes he was so fun to watch and I looked up to him and still do! He is very humble. Can't believe someone that went to my school is now in the NFL on the rise! Can't wait to see him do work this year!
He has an extra gear he kicks into sometimes that makes him dangerous as hell! Class act, let's hope he stays healthy.

+Apex BCY I just got done watching a highlight of AP. Crazy similar on how they run. I would say AP has more explosion to his running but the cuts and vision are almost exact. I would say DJ has better hands than AP and that's saying alot.

+John Valenzuela erm he might be a 1500 yard total player but most of his rushing yards were gained against very bad run defenses, he's nothing to scoff at just nothing to be scared of. He has lots of potential but so did Andre Ellington, he got 101 carries and rushed for 511 yards his rookie season then when he was the lead back he averaged like 3 ypc. I even said watching him and Rawls battle would be fun but ignorance is bliss I guess

Man am I happy we had the smarts to go into the "Small School" ranks and get David. He's been just great, has to learn to start faster and carry his body in a "sit down" mode though.

Sorry, but I think DJ is going to be the biggest fantasy bust this year. As far as I'm concerned, he hasn't proven himself yet. Plus, he will be sharing the ball with CJ2K, Ellington, and I'm pretty sure Caraon Palmer will be throwing the ball way more this season. John Brown will have his breakout year and will end up a top 10 WR. Just wait and see. Brown is the next Jerry Rice, no doubt. Plus, Michael Floyd is in a contract year and will be doing his absolute best. Fitzgerald, ehh, not so much. In fact, I think his days are over.

+buc nasty No. Gurley was the one great weapon on a TERRIBLE offense and he still produced. The Rams passing game and O-line isn't nearly as good as the Cardinals and Gurley still averaged more YPC than Johnson. This is all coming back from a torn ACL and wearing a knee brace all year too. Johnson is good but Gurley is better.

Hacky Sack Gurley is a great receiver he just wasn't used in that role last year because of the injury. I'm betting he catches a lot more balls this year. David Johnson plays in a terrific offense with a loaded WR group so defenses can't stack the box. Gurley plays with the worst passing offense in the NFL where defenses just stack the box to stop him. Yet he still averaged more YPC than Johnson. Oh and DJ is not as good in the open field as Gurley, not even close. Todd is faster and a more nuanced runner. He does an amazing job of putting defenders where he wants them in the open field.
Hacky Sack Johnson ran the 100m in 11.03 seconds. Gurley ran it in 10.70. Gurley also ran a 4.35 40 in high school, Johnson ran it in 4.50. Gurley was a track star in the Junior Olympics and ran the 110m hurdles in 13.66 seconds. He's faster than DJ and it's not even close.
Hacky Sack you first say there's no way to know because we don't have facts. I then give you facts and you dismiss them. That's special pleading. And I watched plenty of DJ last year, he was definitely impressive but he's not Gurley. Also, if you're going to go by the eye test just remember that Gurley was never 100% last year and he wore a knee brace that limited his speed.

He needed work with his fumbling issues. it was smart for coaching to let him train some more, which is why when his number was called he was ready to show up. I can't wait until next year to see how much better he gets.
