You mentioned you liked to try white wood aster and I had to send it to you! It’s so long lasting and pretty in bouquets. The gardens looks so beautiful ! 😊😀
Every time a new video pops up I can’t wait to get a chance to sit down and watch! My daughter and I love to watch them together. You’re so inspiring! The gardens looks great! I am excited to know you love acidanthera. I just planted some in my garden as well!
Yuliya is the best!!!! That was so sweet and generous of her to send those out! That’s what is gardeners do for sure. I just mulched my garden beds yesterday and it made me feel euphoric! I’m thrilled that everything is coming back to life in my zone 8 garden! Have a great weekend everyone!
Hi Danielle, your spring garden is so pretty, I love the blue pansy's, glory of the snow and blue hyacinth you planted in with your beautiful assortment of daffodils. The creeping phlox, Acidanthera, and white wood aster are a great addition to your garden. That was very nice of Yulia to share her white wood aster plants with you. I am so glad you ordered the Cassata daffodils at the last minute! I love them and will try to get some for my garden as well!! I am looking forward to your next garden tour. Thanks for sharing! 😍
Hi Danielle! 1- asters are GREAT for pollinators at the end of summer/early fall. That is the time when other flowers are dying back and the insects are still searching for food. 2 - that’s great you did not add fertilizers when planting. The soil in many parts of the country do not need anything added as our soils are rich enough. Fertilizers can be a waste of money. GREAT VIDEO! THANKS!!!🌸
My handbook of plant names agrees with your pronunciation. The book is 'A Gardeners Handbook of Plant Names' by A.W. Smith. It was originally published in the 1960's but I still find it useful.
Hi Danielle .... Im right there with you, gardening in Zone 7b southern Pennsylvania. Also enjoyed todays opportunity to check out my hyacinth, daffodils and even 2 tulips that managed to already bloom! Im excited to watch the progress of your beautiful garden as I watch my own! Happy Gardening!
Yes, it feels wonderful to be back in the garden 😊 I like winter, but it starts to feel like an itch you can't reach or like something's bothering you, but you don't know what it is. In this case, though, we do know! Looking good 💚
My daughter-in-law and I love acidanthera; when people scowl at the name, we say it’s a Peacock Orchid. I’ve had some come back after snowy winters, but we generally dig them up. Northern Michigan, zone 5/6.
I may have to place my bulb order now before they run out. 😊 I've grown to love daffodils over tulips because of their longevity and how they naturalize. Ugh! I'm with you on that Mulberry thug. It needs to be on the invasive plants list.
Thanks for the video. Glad I found you. I didn’t realize you were from southern PA too! I’m south central (Abbottstown, PA) I first discovered you with your amaryllis. I’m a amaryllis lover too. Enjoy your garden! ❤
Haven’t read all the comments but just wanted to point out that the prostrate form of phlox that you have planted is more often called “moss phlox” aka Phlox subulata while the common term “creeping phlox” is more often reserved for Phlox drummondii.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE your gardens! Each of them are more darlin than the previous one. I can only imagine the fragrance level, MUST be heavenly. Thank you for sharing, HAPPY EASTER.
I always called them Peacock Lillie’s. Instead of Vanilla I can’t help think they smell like suntan lotion lol. Your garden is so inspiring Danielle. Yes isn’t Yulia a peach. Sweet as they come. Random acts of kindness will turn this world around. Happy Easter🕊🕊🕊🕊
While I am sure you have posted this, I am a fairly new subscriber who lives in zone 5b. I have been plantings bulbs in our woods which surrounds our home, and am in love with your daffodils. Where did you purchase them? Particularly the ones with colorful center?
I may have to try some. I'm also in 6b, NJ and have horrible clay/shale soil, if you can even call it soil. You look to have very nice soil. No rocks or have you been working on your soil for years.
Bulbs are so wonderful, especially in Spring. Daffodils are so cheery after winter! I think of Grace's garden as shady, and yet the daffodils do well there? Is it because they get enough sun before the trees leaf out? Asking because I would like to add more in our yard 😊
I live in 6b Lehigh Valley and I'm glad you mentioned the Acidanthera may not overwinter. I planted them last year and thought they were hardy but I'll be looking out for the signs of life in my garden the next couple of weeks or I have to put in a new order immediately! They're so lovely.
That was so sweet of Yulia! Acidanthera is pronounced with the emphasis on the “Dan” syllable. Rainy side gardens (rainyside) and fine gardening, too but theirs isn’t as comprehensive, has a reliable online pronunciation guide if you ever want to look something up.
Hi, Danielle: What tips do you have on Phlox? I have a patch that I just leave alone all year and it looks kind of bad, unless of course, it is in bloom during the Spring. Is it supposed to be cut back after blooming? It's taking up a lot of real estate in my garden but isn't contributing a lot except for Spring. I can't bring myself to pull it, as it is well over 12 years old and loves where it is. Thank you! (PS--love the blue watering can. Can you share where you purchased it?)
Does daffodil have to be in a sunny spot? I m in zone 10. My daffodils didn’t bloom this year. They’re in the sort of shady spots. Shall I move them? I really enjoy your videos as always. Thank you very much!
In my country daffodils don’t care if you plant them sun or shade so that shouldn’t matter. Maybe your zone has winters that stay too warm for daffodils? Or a bit too dry perhaps when they die back, as that is when they collect their strength for next year’s blooming? I think my zone is a 5 or a 6 if I compare what is annual to American garden RUclipsrs.
You mentioned you liked to try white wood aster and I had to send it to you! It’s so long lasting and pretty in bouquets. The gardens looks so beautiful ! 😊😀
You are such a sweetheart 😊
Yuliya, you are so kind to have sent those out! I’m looking forward to watching them grow in Danielle’s garden!
I'd love for you to send me, ooh, let's say half your garden? 🤭
Both of you have such beautiful landscapes. You inspire me.
@@Edu_Kate Forget the flowers. I'd kill to just have either one's soil.
@@ritasicari7518 was drooling over that soil as well ;}
Shout out to Yulia! Both of you ladies are inspirational and I love and learn from your videos. Happy Easter!
Love seeing gardening channels interacting. You and Yulia are two of my favorites 💕

I've got way too much chives so will be sharing divisions with neighbors who walk by my garden on their way to the nearby park.
I love the daffodils and hyacintha. Beautiful flowers.
Lovely plants as always. But that big beautiful fawn four legged plant is the best ever 😻🇦🇺cheers Bronwyn
So beautiful Danielle ❤And Grace is looking quite beautiful also😊

🙋♀️Same zone as you and our last most recent foot of snow is melting and just seeing all my bulbs coming up. 😊
Yuliya is so sweet! Your spring garden looks awesome!!! Love the yellow finch!

Yellow Cassata is lovely is well as Silver Smile is a small gem. Love Call is a must-have. Thank you for inspiring my shopping list.
Hi Danielle
You feel exactly the same as me regarding the Spring, like a huge weight has been lifted 😊
Such beautiful daffodils white and yellow ❤
Looking like spring there in your gardens for sure! 🥰
So sweet of Yulia!
Happy Easter everyone! 🐰
Your new patio in front of the raised beds looks amazing.

Your daffodils rock!
Love Yulia too. That glory of the snow, it's blooming all over my neighbors yard, it's stunning. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter.

So many lovely daffodils. I’m especially fond of the pink and peachy ones. 💗
Happy Easter 🌷
Wow the first flower I see in the season
Many are still planting

I put shaved soap in holes with bulbs to keep squirrels from digging them to eat them.

I found Acidanthera at Costco a couple of weeks back
Howdy Danielle, can you tell me what that striking yellow shrub is in the background? Love your garden. Just gorgeous 🥰thanks
That will be a forsythia.
Hola 👋 q Dios te bendiga junto a las hermosas plantasy flores! Podrías ponerle subtitulo también en español..a los videos 😊

Hi friend! This is the watering can I have - amzn.to/43gPc5t My creeeping phlox doesn't look like much in summer and fall either. Happy Easter!
