Oh my gosh! Bravo on all the stitching you got done. I stitched the Olympics and touched a different project each day but did not get a huge amount of stitches in some projects. I love gnomes and I will check out the Etsy shop. Stay safe during the storm. Happy stitching.
@sugarplumstitcher thanks so much. It's the most stitching I've done in a long time. I'm such an olympics fan that I may as well stitch while I'm watching. The good thing was that yhe live stuff ended before supper, so I was able to get everything here done in the evening. It's been raining pretty much since I did my videos. The wind is supposed to come overnight
Such lovely projects, Deanne! I was thinking about doing the Stitch Olympics but couldn’t get my act together to pull all the projects lol. Thank you for the lovely shoutout and kind works! 🥰
@LadybugStitches you are most welcome. I can't believe I kept it together for 2 weeks, I think it's because I love watching the Olympics, so I may as well stitch at the same time.
You are making great progress on your WIPs. 55 new starts? Really? Can’t wait to see how you fare. Looking forward to the results of ‘Canada Stitch’ as I am also a participant. Really looking forward to seeing more Canadian Designers introducing themselves. Enjoy the rest of the summer. Good luck to your son for the upcoming school year! Cheers.
@DLNYTube thank you. The 55 starts are the plan, we will see how it goes. I'm trying to hit my year goals on all my current wips before the end of the year. I'm really excited about the exchange, I used to do them years ago on a Yahoo group.
Thank you for the video. You did a great job with the stitch the Olympics I knew I wouldn’t have the time this last little bit so unfortunately I didn’t participate. I as well am turning 55 next year and since I first heard you mention that you would be starting 55 for 55 you’ve really got me thinking about doing the same. Goodness knows I have enough stash to pull it off is just a matter of sitting down and figuring it out. I was also thinking I would need to put minimum 200 stitches in to qualify it as a new start for myself just as a goal. Still thinking about it 🤔
@carmencharles3842 thank you. Go for the 55 mew starts,, I'd love to know someone else is stitching with me. I plan to start 1 every 7 days and then 1 on my birthday, 1 on my son's, and 1 on Christmas Day. I'm hoping to get 500 stitches in each before starting the next. It's also a great way to start a flosstube 😄
@@stitchingontherock well Deanne I did it🤔 I’m jumping in with both feet now that I’ve talked myself into it (not that it was hard). I’m going to join you on the journey of 55 starts for 55!!!! 🎉🎉. Ive totally kitted up 16 projects this past weekend and I have patterns for the rest. Well actually more patterns then I need to do I just need to narrow it down which ones to get kitted over the next little while. Can’t wait this should be fun!!
@carmencharles3842 yay. Are you on Instagram? I was going to try to come up with a hashtag, 55 starts in 2025 or 55 starts for turning 55, what do you think?
The Olympic prompts were great fun…I really liked seeing your projects and you did indeed stitch yourself happy during this period of time. May I ask if you ever do hardanger? Thank you for the shout out…I am using Darlene,s pattern for my Swap piece. 🦉🧵🪡🇨🇦
I had a great time stitching the Olympics, great motivation. I've never tried hardanger, I love the look of it but the thought of cutting my fabric scares me.
Love all of your WIPS - you are making great progress on them.
Take Care & Happy Stitching
