  • Here’s some more of Recology Sonoma Marin trucks. They run quite a few of these Automizers in various places. Most recently, they purchased New Way Sidewinders for the City of Santa Rosa contract. But they are primarily running a mix of the old Ratto Group trucks and the old stuff from other surrounding Recology yards.

I used to drive that Peterbilt. Monday’s route. Slowest working packer out of the fleet. Had to hit the pack button on every can because the joystick button had a short and wouldn’t start the pack cycle

I was just watching one of your videos of an old North Bay 7000 from months ago, so it's nice to see a fresh new video of what makes the majority of their fleet. for the closely-spaced cans I'd take an automizer or sidewinder in a heartbeat. great job filming!

Thank you! They still run a ton of these (as of last week) but the New Ways and Bridgeports are starting to become much more common than before.

Love these two! Love the condors brakes, that classic release sound is just sooo nice!

Couldn't agree more! Condors are a childhood classic of mine. Glad they still have a few of them left.

Definitely don’t see many labries on the west coast

They aren't SUPER common, but they have been cropping up more and more on some of the bigger contracts and cities.

why is this driver picking up what seems like trash AND recycling? If I am correct, blue bins are for recycling, black for trash, and green for yard waste

These trucks have a divider down the middle and in the hopper section. When the driver picks up a trash cart, it goes on one side of the truck, when they pick up recycling, it gets dumped into the other side.

Split truck, they can carry both without cross contaminating.
