Reed, I remember this tornado. I lived in Kingfisher Oklahoma at the time. this particular tornado hit Piedmont and then hit Edmond. that was a very sad day because people lost their lives. Young and Old lives. please don't forget ALL the live stock that dies! your a great Storm Chaser!
I'd think any natural phenomenon qualifies like earthquake tsunami volcanic eruption in your backyard mudslide avalanche or shark attack. All dependent upon perception of each event and your response.
@Susan Banks yeah he sure sounds cool,....so what you're saying then is that all that emotion is bullshit and just for show, if true that makes me not want to watch, :/
I remember this - I was out shopping when my mom called me, telling me to come home right then because this was coming. When we were all at home there was one step-sibling still in school, a few minutes down the road, and we lost radio signal when they said it was in that area. Meanwhile he lost signal when they said it was near our home, and we all feared the worst. We all made it, but some of the lots on that street are still empty 10 years later, the homes turned to splinters and gravel from the tornado. But good for you, going out to pal around with your lives like that, knowing that all out got out of it was a feeling. Good for you.
Are they actually inside the first tornado? It looks peripheral, if still cool. How do you guys actually know what to do? Lots of conflicting directions! But what I wouldn't give to be there!
Their chase vehicle can lower itself and also anchor itself to the ground. I'm sure in this instance he was referring to dropping the car so wind wouldn't get underneath and tip them over
Reed always has to be the guy who screams “are you seeing this?!” or “look at that!” when it’s completely obvious that everyone is aware of the tornado directly in front of them
I live in Iowa and I have not even seen a single funnel cloud in my whole 41 years. I wanna see a tornado at least once in my life. I’m jealous Reed! Y’all are jumping in them! 😂
I think this is the one that took out the house in Carney I raised my kids in. I was always having tornado dreams while living in that house. Gods Pre warning I think!! We had sold it and moved in 2005. Scary day in Oklahoma.
Dr Reed do you have any Ph.D math friends that could do the math at what force would the D3 lift off? Would a 5 be possible and to what are the limits, if you know. Do you rate D3 to a 3 tornado and don't intercept a 4? Curious of your risk structure for D3. Could anything built survive an intercept of a 5? AWESOME INTERCEPT, so nice to see D3 back in the saddle again!
They do have those little dealies that anchor them to the ground, but I've had exactly the same question about what EF rating it would withstand before being carted off to Oz! 🤣
You guys should always have drones following so we can see how accurate TWISTER was when the inevitable happens. Obviously I don't want to ever see what happened to the "heel" storm chaser in TWISTER happen to anyone, BUT if you insist on taking these risks, for science AND boners but important for sure. I get it, this is probably more of a rush than jumping out of a plane. Fascinating shit. There should be no angle or POV left unshot. For science and posterity.
Reeds scream is scarier than the tornado itself
He tends to scream a little when he's exited
Idk mang it's his trademark rememorable scream

Oh my lord. I saw that I was there and almost got killed. love your channel.💪👍 Have a good day.✌️✌️
"...horizontal suction vortices!!!"
Nerdiest thing ever screamed in a tornado! Love it!🤗
As a resident of Oklahoma, I can officially say this is an "only in oklahoma moment"
Y'all been getting more naders than us here in Kansas lately. Hogging all the fun.
@@OhPhuckYou my bad homeboy, I guess we're just that good 🤷♂️
nah this is a normal day in oklahoma
As an Oklahoman I agree
Like only in Tornado Alley moment there lots of states in that place especially since it's begun to expand
Reed your yelling voice has matured somewhat 😅😂
Lol
@ReedTimmerWx Looks like when going into a Tornado, it's the most adrenaline rush, craziest thing to happen.
I'm sure! I get chills just watching them
100%. Every tornado video i see, i hear reeds scream over it.
Nothing is scarier than a direct hit from a tornado (aside floods).
True
I'd think any natural phenomenon qualifies like earthquake tsunami volcanic eruption in your backyard mudslide avalanche or shark attack. All dependent upon perception of each event and your response.
Wildfires are scary too.
That is the most terrifying thing I could imagine. The power of that wind is unbelievable.
I can't believe it has been 10 years ago since the May 19th and 20th tornadoes
May all those who lost their lives on those days rest in peace
Man my heart was racing I'm glad you guys made it out safely great video 📹
You guys are freakin nuts!
You think!
Reeds the best , love the videos
I quit a job @pizza rutt over a screaming mgr like that. 😵💫 MORE PEPPERONI'NOW !!!
Scariest part of this video was the "HORIZONTAL SUCTION VORTICIES" jumpscare XD
Best part was Cantore standing in the road after. ❤
the best part was the amogos part
I know this is intense stuff but, when you don't keep your cool, that's when things really go bad.
@Susan Banks yeah he sure sounds cool,....so what you're saying then is that all that emotion is bullshit and just for show, if true that makes me not want to watch, :/

That was wild Reed!
I get hyped hearing this dude get so into it, man what a site that was.
Go straight and take down the sign. Everybody would think the tornado did it anyway 😇🤣😆🤣.
Are they actually inside the first tornado? It looks peripheral, if still cool. How do you guys actually know what to do? Lots of conflicting directions! But what I wouldn't give to be there!
Nam myoho rengekyo 🙏 pray 🌍 peace be safe """
Yeehaw!! This old granny would love to ride along.
I think you had Cantore shitting his pants on this chase. Classic!!!
Reed Timmer in my opinion is the most successful storm chaser I've ever seen
Is it the tornado dropping down? Or something you do in or to the car?
Their chase vehicle can lower itself and also anchor itself to the ground. I'm sure in this instance he was referring to dropping the car so wind wouldn't get underneath and tip them over
@@KindaUpsetLlama thank you.. only thing I ever knew about storm chasers is.the movie twister... cheers
Do you mean May 19, 2023?!
Dominator for the win.
I been praying over a year to even remotely understand what was happening. The lord allowed me to step right in it!
That was the may 19th outbreak, am I correct Reed? I remember watch that episode when it aired. You had Jim Cantore with you.
D3 is amazing to capture these events
Me: stay calm
Reed: THIS IS ME STAYING CALM. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.
When there isn't shit else to do "ah hell let's get a case a beer and be tornado bound"
Omg I was in that one as well I was on I 35 when it crossed. Crazy Day !!!
Where’s Oklahoma? Nobodies knows
Idk why but I've always wanted to be in a nado ever since I saw your videos Reed
And Wizard of Oz !
Why didn’t you just go the opposite way like turn around ?😮
Reed always has to be the guy who screams “are you seeing this?!” or “look at that!” when it’s completely obvious that everyone is aware of the tornado directly in front of them
10 years ago to the day!
Never Stop Chasing! 🐕
Until one finally kills you.
Makes my heart race! Never Stop Chasing.
Ah yes. I remember that from your own stormchasers series. It was a very good intercept
Gotta love Reed ❤️ 🌪🌪🌪
Glad you stayed calm and collected
It’s gonna suck when Reed is gone, but it won’t be a surprise by any stretch of the imagination. Enjoy it while you can brother.
Jim Cantore crapping in his pants in the back seat😂😂😂😂😂😂👍
I remember this from tornado chasers. Still awesome!
Those tornados jacked up a bunch of houses in my parents' neighborhood.
Oh my goodness 😮
I live in Oklahoma and man tornadoes are everywhere during nado season
Horizontal suction vertices is the nerdiest thing I’ve herd someone yell in a long time😂
Reed "Err go Straight..."
Other guy "STRAIGHT?" Reed "yeah.. left works"Lmao!" 😂
I'd have to sneak a megaphone with me and start screaming right in reed's ear.
They showed in in my geography lesson in wales
I live in Iowa and I have not even seen a single funnel cloud in my whole 41 years. I wanna see a tornado at least once in my life. I’m jealous Reed! Y’all are jumping in them! 😂
oop, I'm pretty close to Edmond, cool seeing an Oklahoma short regardless of the... er... content...
10 years 🥳

i thought the caption said inside of toronto
1 day later tragedy strikes in my home town.

Everytime i see footage of this storm, it just looked like the angriest tornado ever.
Don't understood why people put themselves in such danger. My life is worth more than just a thrill.
Do you mean 2023?
i hope he didn't misses the Shawnee OK EF4 which my friend almost got hit and i watched it on KFOR live broadcasting
You'll regret that behavior......
So this was just few days before the famous moore and el reno tornado.
I was thinking about a new Dominator. Fire six stakes into concrete, asphalt or earth when you drop down.
Cows! Truck! Tractor! Cow!
I remember being in Cross Timbers Elementary in Edmond when this one touched down. Very scary moment as a kid.
Thank you, Reed, you're the best!!
So scary!!!!!
Screaming always makes people respond better
Why is my guy screaming in the car?
🔥🔥🔥🖤🖤🖤
I would piss my pants!! Literally 😮😮
Never Stop Chasing!
I wonder how much longer they lived after this video.
Most normal day of spring for Oklahoma
Grat job reed
😮😮😮😮😮 WoW! OMG!
"DEBRIS! WE HAVE DEBRIS!"
It was scary. The bipolar weather here in Oklahoma
That’s crazy!!! 😢😮😮😮
when Reed says "Drop it down"
$h!+$ about to get real!
Holy crap i had no idea tor ados growled 🤯
This is funny because I live in edmond and we had a tornado threat last night
*ဘေးရန်ကင်းပါစေ****
Captain Cortisol. Stay safe homie.
The Ford was even excited
DROP IT DOWWWW-- *flies Away*
Big problem ❤
I live in Edmond 😢
Dang your like 1 mile from were I lived at the time

This reminds me of Mark Payton, if you know who is inside of 400 yard wide tornado
Horizontal suction vortices !!! That’s what I say to my gf when she lays sideways
Why is this dude always screaming? He needs some training from Pecos.
And at the time nobody knew that the big one would hit the south side the next day
Safest tornado in Oklahoma
