I can say that Ramlah is probably one of the earliest belters in Malaysia. Back then, most singers were focusing more on the feels and making the song sound as good as they can. Then Ramlah came and established herself as a powerhouse female vocalist and opened the door to a lot of others. And this song is still being played today. FUN FACT: The heart on her dress was supposed to light, but due to technical issues, it can't be done. But the dress is pretty iconic, whenever people talk about Ramlah, one of the things people talk about is that dress 😁

Omg been waiting for this one for so long 🙌 Ramlah Ram was the first solo artist to ever sold 300,000 copies of her second album of the same name (Kau Kunci Cintaku Dalam Hatimu) and i guess it was probably all over the radios at that time until 90s. She was raised in Johor and familiar with ghazal (traditional music) since she was a kid. I don't understand what song it is, but her emotional voice stabs my heart.
No one can sing this song like her... Never.. This song was made for her only
Song Title Translation : You Prisoned My Love Inside You. There are few other direct translation mentioned below too.. The song was about a women who expressed her feeling after she was left by her love one. She was tortured in grief after her love ones gone and she kept remind her past memories

I think Kau Kunci Cintaku broke the record of biggest album sold at that time. It sold around 200-300k units back then (was a huge leap from 70k units album sold from Francisca Peter). The album still getting more sales through out in the 90’s and to date it has sold more than 450k units if I am not mistaken….
Kau kunci cinta ku dalam hati mu - "You are the key in my heart (to my heart)". The other meaning could also be "you locked my love in your heart" 🗝️💗

Ramlah Ram is a Mezzo Soprano same as Ziana Zain but her tone is lighter ...you can listen to Aishah , she's a Light Lyric Soprano on her young days , now she's a Lyric Soprano but her voice is still "solid"

If I’m not mistaken, Ramlah Ram & Ziana Zain was representing Malaysia in the Voice of Asia long time ago and Ziana Zain won the Voice of Asia that time & also if I’m not wrong Ziana Zain is the 1st Malaysian artist to won that before Siti Nurhaliza (Siti won the Grand Prix of the Award ~ Voice of Asia)

Zapin is a traditional song. "Yang Tinggal" means things we leave behind. It's a song of a young girl remembering her family and hometown that was left behind after her parents passed away
I wasn't a big fan of the song before, but my mom suddenly shared this song 1 day before Raya. I then remembered, around this time my mom would be very busy at my grandma's house cooking Raya dishes, cleaning the house and preparing for Raya but this year she could not anymore, as my grandma passed away last December
