Seems like my comment vanished - I had seen her before, at the Eurovision, in 2003 she won it and in 2024 in the semi finals. Great voice, great musicians! You can’t like them all, you have to say how you feel - respect for that!
@ it was in Latvia at the Skonto hall, I got the date wrong, it was 2003 - we had always wanted to go to Latvia, the longest flight we had ever been on!
Right on. I'm happy that you found this little gem. But by the way, I think you pronounce her name, "Hot Chick" but I'm not sure. That's just what I call her. But she did a duet with a Cypriot named Mando, that strangely enough, I think her name is also pronounced, "Hot Chick". But the duet is called Ask/Fos.
@@Abigirl_Reacts Oh no... Hhhhaaaha Nah, it's not that. No, I'm old. I'm on the wrong side of 50. If I was Yank, they'd call me GenX. Nah, we just have a different way of speaking. Of expressing ourselves. When I say "Hot Chick", I mean that literally. It doesn't matter what language I speak, if it's English or Ελληνικά or Српско-Хрватски, I speak fluent "Dude". If someone asks me why am I watching some Chick reacting to other Chicks, I'm like "Well, there's a hot chick reacting to hot chicks that I like and can carry a tune.". It's the base of my Hedonistic philosophy. Oh, Nightwish, High Hopes and Walking in the Air. I forgot to put that request in last time. Take care and have a good one.
We get spoiled for variety here! It’s not my favourite kind of music, but it’s still very beautiful. And if she was American, she’d probably perform at the Superbowl with that voice. Turkish music does have different form and traditions from western music, and that’s probably why you didn’t like it completely. And this was a song that owed almost more to western pop music than to Turkish tradition. It takes a bit of getting used to before you like it, although that’s not a reproach: there’s so much different music out there, and the average listener usually gets exposed only to a tiny portion of it. You obviously will have a make choices what kind of music you want to explore, and it’s okay not to like everything.

I liked it more than not, I just probably won't be blasting this in the car any time soon ^_^
Try Gerry Cinnamon - Canter (Live at Hampden Park) or anything he does live
Thanks for the suggestion! ^_^
