Good to see the result. The moulds look very realistic Nat and it was good to show both those that worked as you intended and those where you had mixed it thicker. Nonetheless they all came out fine. Stephen
Hello there Stephen I was very pleased with the finished result. And the differing consistency of plaster has given me an idea for a future project. Thanks for watching. Nat🚂👍
Hi Nat - those are the same moulds I use. Only difference is I use woodland scenics, Hydrocal plaster. Dries very quickly ( becomes hot 🔥). I usually "plant" them first and fill in with plaster and then paint using the pigments from Woodland Scenics. They will look good once fixed on your layout. Cheers Euan
Hello there Euan, The woodland scenics moulds are very popular I see. The plaster that I used also dried very quickly but didnt get too hot. Thanks for watching. Nat🚂👍
Hi Nat! I've seen these moulds used a lot and they seem to be very useful and easy to use! They certainly produce very realistic results! I haven't seen anyone add colour pigment to them before, which I thought was a great idea! Hope you don't mind me suggesting that you maybe look into getting a lapel mic / lavalier just to help with the audio quality, and stop it from getting muffled when you hold the camera over its microphone? :) All the best, Ian.
Hello there Ian The woodland scenics moulds are very popular indeed and very simple to use. In hindsight I should have used more pigment but I know now for any future projects. Thanks for you suggestion of a lapel mic I’ll have a look into them,as you say I don’t always realise when I’m covering the mic on my phone when holding. Thanks for watching and your suggestion on a mic 🎙️ Nat🚂👍

good video and nice modelling, what you need is a tripod, that will help you when filming and modelling
Thanks I’ll have a look into that, I have a mini tripod but I think a larger one would be beneficial as you suggested. Thanks for watching.
