They are young Lead guitarist born in 2000, durmmer in 2002 and bass player in 2004 and the sisters have been playing as a band since 2013. Dust to Dust is from their second album Queen of the Murder scene released in 2018.
I recommend that you check out their Pepsi Center CDMX concert (from which this was taken) in order. It will give you a great sense of their excellence as songwriters (including the variety of styles they cover) and performers.

Nice reaction! As others have alluded to, at this concert they added a seamless transition between Dust to Dust and Dull Knives so that the whole package (song/transition/song) is designed to be experienced in one go. Dust to Dust actually ended with Dany’s (the guitarist’s) wail-the rest of what you watched was the transition. At some point I hope you’ll watch the whole package, even if it’s just for yourself :)

The Warning, Alejandra, Ale (pronounced Alleh) is the bassist and backing vocals (she will sing lead vocals when the lead singer is having voice issues), Paulina, Pau (pronounced Pow) drummer and lead and backing vocals, and Daniela, Dany, guitarist and lead vocalist. They all started out playing classical piano very young. Dust to Dust is the first song and prelude to their Queen of the Murder Scene which is a concept album, it tells a story of a woman's journey into madness, so it is best listened to from one song to the next! It was their second album. They have 4 albums and an EP (Escape the Mind) from when they were very young! I'm sure they are working on their fifth album! They have been signed to Lava Records/Republic Records since their 3rd album Error which they released in two parts. The first six songs they called their Mayday EP which was incorporated into the Error album! The Warning's 1st album is called XXI Century Blood! Currently they have been touring their 4th album Keep Me Fed!
They don't need Autotune, they always sing live in their presentations. They have so much understanding that they have the courage and confidence in each other that they bet on singing live, it is their forte for more than 10 years of career.

First heard The Warning in June of 2024. Since then, I saw them live twice and I'm flying to their hometown of Monterrey next February to see them again. First time in my life that I'm going to another country to see a band live. They're just that good!🔥🤘
This band, The Warning, are three sisters out of Monterrey, Mexico and are something special. Veterans at such young ages, they own the stage. They exhibit the same passion and energy whether they play for small private gathering or a stadium. I think they have a very bright future in front of them.
The Warning are a 3 sister rock band from Monterey Mexico. All 3 are musical prodigies, their ages for this concert is 23,21 and 18, they have been a band for over 10 years. Dany plays through a Kemper profiler with the signal split so she is playing in stereo which obviously fattens her sound considerably. All three are fantastic musicians and really sweet girls, they have a huge presence on social media. Dude the radio pretty much sucks nowadays. I finally saw the in September after following them for about five years and they really bring it live, it's an experience
Others have commented with a lot of info on this phenomenal band, but I'll add a bit more... they are fast rising, selling out their own multi-thousand seat shows, and have opened for Def Leppard, Stryper, Guns n' Roses, Halestorm, Three Day's Grace, Foo Fighters, Muse, and Evanescence among others, and will be opening for The Offspring in Brazil this March. Dany, the guitarist and main vocalist, has been personally gifted custom guitars by Lzzy Hale, Matt Bellamy, and just recently, Orianthi Panagaris.
Welcome to The Warning! Dust to Dust is prologue to their second album Queen of the Murder Scene. It’s a concept album they wrote in their teens and it’s a masterpiece. Go down the rabbit hole! Dany on guitar turns 25 tomorrow! You’ll never see them lip sync or use auto tune. They don’t need it. Live is where they shine.
Best band I've heard in a looong time. They bring back echoes of classic rock mixed with elements of punk, pop, grunge, even metal. Familiar but unique.
They are on the Kelly Clarkson show tomorrow ( Jan 30), coincidentally it is Dany’s ( guitar) birthday tomorrow as well, she’s turning 25. Pau, on drums will soon be turning 23 and Ale, on Bass, turned 20 in December.
This entire concert is fantastic. A couple of my very favorites right now are “Z” and “Amour”. I say right now because my favorites switch around all the time because I love them all. My favorite band by far. I love these ladies. Must sees also are the original cover of “Enter Sandman” from 2014, and the modern best “Enter Sandman” from their 2022 Teatro Metropolitan performance, and “Revenant” from the same concert, and try not to miss their Tedx 3 song set from 2017. I'm glad you like them, welcome aboard. I only wish you let the next song play as it was meant to be listened to because it kind of kills the vibe of the awesome transition into it (Dull Knives). The Warning are the real deal and you probably don't realize yet how amazing they truly are. They have been writing their own music and performing for 11 yrs now since they were kids.

This was the band's 10th anniversary concert and the band went into great lengths to add the transition between the songs, so, some fans will be offended by not letting it play through. Yes DPA are a young bunch. The oldest (Dany) was born in 2000. In 2017/2018 (when Dust to Dust was written and recorded) the youngest (Ale) was 12/13. Ale's bass tone and bass lines in the debut concert in 2018 in Lunario (Mexico City) is something to hear. And of course, all drummers can sing intense lead ... no? 🤘⚡🔥⚠🔥⚡🤘
Excellent 1st-time The Warning reaction Kelley! The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE" (2018), is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD" (2017), is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND" (2015); and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! Their 4th studio album, KEEP ME FED was released June 28th, 2024. They have released 7 singles: "MORE", "SICK", "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM", "AUTOMATIC SUN", "BURNOUT", "QUE MAS QUIERES", and "SIX FEET DEEP". The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Crazy they are 25, almost 23 and 20 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #57 original songs. They performed 2 songs at the 2023 MTV VMA's. Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many. Drummer Paulina won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's 2023 reader's poll. They performed AUTOMATIC SUN at the 2024 MTV EMA's (European) in Manchester, United Kingdom. 4 days later they performed QUE MA`S QUIERES at the 2024 LATIN GRAMMYS in Miami, Florida. Both performances highlighted songs that were nominated for an award. They were interviewed and performed 3 songs live on television in front of a large studio audience in France December 20th, 2024 on the Taratata show. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California, USA. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. I met them again at Fingerprints Music in Long Beach California for a CD signing on the day their new album KEEP ME FED was released (June 28th, 2024) and the morning after they performed live on the Jimmy Kimmel show. I saw them again October 8th and 9th, 2024 in Los Angeles with a meet-n-greet on the second night. Welcome to *The Warning!* They toured with Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless and I recommend their music. In particular, TPR's 'Going to Hell' and 'Heaven Knows'. But more of The Warning would be great.
The Warning rock band has the following characteristics in one package: 1.- They are at the top of instrumental and vocal talent. 2.- Ability to produce music and lyrics out of the ordinary, with very interesting and deep themes, this since they were teenagers. 4 albums and 2 EPs. (60 songs approx. absolutely all of great quality). 3.- Spectacular performance no matter if they are in front of 200 or 20,000 people, they play with the same energy. They don´t need to be vulgar or sexualized, or dress up or be extremely aggressive, great respect for their public and their fans. 4.- Excellent quality of life off stage, humility and simplicity, without scandals or gossip, perhaps a little conservative for the style of many rockers. 5.- Only three pieces are enough for their musical production and for their performance. This is admirable. 6.- Almost military effort and discipline. 7.- Youth, barely in their 20s and already with 10 years of experience. 8.- And one more, I don't know if it's important, they are beautiful girls, almost models. The Warning is like when you find an extraordinary buffet: there is quality food for all tastes and ages, you don't get bored of the menu, you recommend it to your friends, and at the end you want to come back again and again.

Contemporary, but plenty of Classic Rock vibes and certainly Hard Rock. Dany (guitarist), turned 25 today (January 30). Pau (drummer) turns 23 next week (February 5) and Ale (bassist) turned 20 in early December.

The girls, today, are 25 (Dany, Guitar), 23 (Pau, Drums) and 20 (Ale, Bass). The show is from late 2023, and this song, from their 2nd album, was released in 2018, so by a band of 19, 17 and 14 years old.
This song is actually all in standard tuning... but Dany (guitar) does use a Kemper profiler pedalboard and spits out two channels... one channel is to a harmonizer with a 10ms delay and a (whammy) octave shift down one octave... so it had a deeper sound... also gives a fuller sound like she is has more than one guitar on stage with her. :-) Also, Ale (bass) does play a 5-string bass, so you do hear her play on that B string sometimes... especially right at the end. (The B string gets more use in other songs.)

That is good but also a little unfortunate. Dull Knives is part of their 2nd release a concept album. Maybe now that you know them you should go back to the beginning of their careers and work forward from there. It will give you a lot of insight into what you are hearing today. Their breakout video of a cover of Enter Sandman back in 2014 when they were 14, 12 and 9 is where it all started.

The Warning, referred to as DPA (Dani, Pau, and Ale) are 3 sisters from Mexico; all 3 have great voices/sing. Dani, guitarist, oldest (Alto), is lead singer with a gorgeous voice/ remarkable range (C♯3-G6). Ale, Bassist, youngest (just turned 20, composed Dust to Dust at 11) has a great voice (Contralto) can sing lead, very shy, sings lead whenever Dani has vocal issues. Pau, Drummer of The Year 2023, (Mezzo) sings lead vocals on several songs, including D2D, while playing drums; Very Rare. Ale, a world-class Jazz Bassist playing Rock, plays Bass-line, Melody-line, throws in Bass-solos, and switches back to the Bass-line, as if it's nothing. You can readily hear Ale's skill/Jazz influences, and Dani's killer vocals, in The Warning's cover of "You Oughta Know." The transition from Dust to Dust to Dull Knives from this Pepsi Center concert was flawless and epic; which is why DPA joined the 2 and why you'll likely get a lot grief for not reviewing them together. It also solved another issue since the release of the concept album Queen of The Murder Scene as Dull Knives was widely regarded as too short but no matter how hard the sisters tried they couldn't extend it without ruining it. Not only is the transition from D2D to DK brilliant, the build is incredible, and even though the 2 songs weren't in this order on the album, musically they work perfectly together. Dust to Dust is the first song and Prologue, while Dull Knives is much later, track 9, and in the 3rd Chapter, yet they work brilliantly together. You missed a golden opportunity in not reacting to them together specifically because the sisters deliberately wanted them to be together and so treated them as one extended track here. It begs the question: If you were reacting to "Soft Cell" deliberately singing - "Tainted Love / Where Did Our Love Go" live together would you split those 2 songs as well? (Queen of the Murder Scene (QOTMS) is the second studio album from “The Warning”, released by chapters. There are a total of 4 chapters and a prologue. The single of this album is the song "Dust to Dust" which is also the prologue of the album. Ale, a brilliant prodigy trained as a Jazz Bassist, composed the melody for D2D at 11 and fully adapted it, creating the full composition for the song, at 13.)
*Dust to Dust* *Dust to Dust* is the prologue song on DPA/TW's _"Queen of the Murder Scene"_ concept album (aka QOTMS) which has just turned 6 years old! it is inviting you in to a funeral to hear the deep, dark, and foreboding story of a young woman apparently in love with someone that doesn't even know she exists... it is a story about how well things can appear to be going and how fast it can all fall apart... it follows her battles between good and evil over her soul... the Spanish speaking part (hard to hear in the 2023 Pepsi Center show but definitely voiced by the audience) is their manager, Rudy, playing the part of a preacher at the funeral... translated to English, this is what he says... Brother! Salvation is something that is earned! Let go of your hand of resentment and Wake up to a new light within you Although your brothers try Plunge into the darkness DPA/TW's _"Queen of the Murder Scene"_ is one of those concept albums best experienced by listening to it from beginning to end in order... listening to each of the songs piecemeal and out of order is like trying to figure out a movie by catching a portion near the end, one from near the beginning, and one near the middle... yeah, it won't work out very well... their performance of it at Lunario was the first time the album was presented in full to the public... it had been released over time in chapters of three songs each and the last three songs were presented here to complete the album... i like their Lunario show because it was the first public performance, the animations on the big screen behind Pau, and the girls were in character... others prefer their presentation of QOTMS at another venue for various reasons... as a concept album, many of us members of TWA can easily see QOTMS as a movie or Broadway stage performance... it is that good and to think it was written by them at a very young age and released as their 2nd album! i mean... whoa! who does that?? 😹 Fun Fact: Rudy, one of their managers, plays the part of a preacher in two of DPA/TW's tracks... the 1st one is in *Dust to Dust* off the QOTMS album... the 2nd is in the OMV for their 3rd Spanish track, *Qué Más Quieres* ... while you cannot hear it in the OMV, he does actually say the same part in both... They are all insanely talented but the drummer, Paulina (Pau), is a generational talent. I've never seen anyone who can play drums the way she does while singing at the same time. She sings lead on quite a few songs but even when she's singing backing vocals, she's still singing at the top pf of her lungs and beating the crap out of the drums!
A good reason why you've never heard them on the radio is that they were independent for their first 2 albums. They got signed to a major label during the pandemic. Before getting signed, they smartly used social media to build a very dedicated (global) fanbase called The Warning Army (TWA). The label took a while before pushing them via conventional channels (radio/television) probably because of the pandemic disruption.

About “Dust to Dust” and “Dull Knives”: they’re from a concept album, _Queen of the Murder Scene_ , but they’re not in direct sequence, so you lose the context. The album tells the story of a woman’s love for someone who apparently doesn’t feel the same way about her, and how that love leads to obsession, murder, and madness. D2D is the prologue, which is followed by four chapters of three songs each; DK is the second song of the third chapter, so it’s much further along in the story. One thing that you do miss in this version is that during the bridge, there’s a spoken piece in Spanish by the band’s manager, Rudy Joffroy. (In a few early concerts he did it live, but he couldn’t always do it quickly enough, so it got put onto a backing track.) In this concert, the whole audience is shouting it along with the track, and it muddies it enough that you can’t make it out. Most of the time, their songwriting process is started by Pau getting a basic proto-song on piano, then taking it to the other two for completion, but D2D is mostly credited to Ale, who came up with that bass riff at 11. (The QOTMS album came out when they were 18, 16, and 13. Pau confesses that a lot of the album is influenced by her going through her “emo period” at the time.) My honest recommendation, if you want to get the full effect, would be to check out some more of the 2023 Pepsi Center and 2022 Teatro Metropolitan concerts (IMHO, when a song is in both, do PC, except for “Narcisista” -- in the TM version you get to see Pau step out from behind the drum kit) but then check out the 2018 Lunario concert for a full performance of QOTMS, in order.

I only found The Warning in November of 2021 - US rock radio has generally failed us, there is a lot of music out there that I've only found through YT and YT reactors. You are going to really want to dive in, you will really love their music. And you'll find no end to content, spanning over 10 years, tons of interviews, a few TEDx talks, a few documentaries, after a while you'll feel like you actually know them.

You are correct, TW is not a metal band. They are indeed mostly a rock/hard rock band but don’t genre stereotype them. They pull influences from grunge, indie, alt, some progressive or any other sub genre of rock you can think of and even genres outside of rock . Don’t let people get to you. This concert was the first (well technically the 3rd) concert they arranged these 2 songs this way. They played 3 near identical shows (Guadalajara, Monterrey, and CDMX) in the same outfits so they had plenty of footage to use for the concert video but most of the footage appears to be from CDMX (Mexico City). Dany has also done a tease intro to Dull Knives in the past hitting the opening note of the song and letting it ring out. She does it a few times and waits for the crowd to get amped then they start into the song.
There is no auto tune and no lip sync with The Warning... So many reactors know nothing about The Warning, or have gotten wrong information about these ladies so this is a brief history of the band… and remember, The Warning is almost always better live than a music video or studio recording. You cannot get the passion and stage presence of a live performance from a music video. There are some exceptions but this is the general rule. The Warning is made up of 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra Villerreal Velez. • They started early. Their parents loved all types of rock music and there was always music, or concert videos playing. They would spend Saturday evenings watching performances by Queen, AC/DC, Elton John, and many, many other bands. • In 2005 when Daniela was 5 years old and Paulina was 3, they were enrolled in music initiation classes- they loved it. Alejandra was only around 1 year old so she had to wait for her time but went through the same classes. • They all started classical piano lessons when they were between 6 and 7 years old. • In 2007 when Daniela was 7 years old their dad bought them the video game “Rock Band” and they completely fell in love with playing it. Dany played the guitar, Paulina was 5 and playing the drums, and Alejandra (being only 3 at the time) stood next to them and clapped along. They loved the aspect of performing on stage and dreamed of doing that. • In 2008 their dad asked Daniela if she wanted to learn another instrument (along with the piano). She chose the guitar. Around the same time Paulina chose the drums (she was 6). At that time Ale’ was still too young but when she turned 6, she wanted to play the bass but had to wait until she was 7 to be big enough to hold and play it. They then realized they could play those 3 instruments together and they began playing as a band. • In 2014 they were playing in their basement studio that their dad made (selling his Harley Davidson motorcycle to afford it) and decided to make a video for their grandparents to see how far they had progressed. The file was too big to just email so dad uploaded the video onto RUclips and sent the grandparents the link. The video went viral and was seen by millions (well over 25 million to date) include Metallica. Kurt Hammet shouted out Paulina on the drums. Here is the 2014 Metallica Enter Sandman cover from their basement studio affectionately called “The Warning Cave”. The girls wanted to go to the prestigious Burklee College of Music to learn musical theory and more and were trying to raise the money to do so. Ellen heard this and when they were on the show, she (and Target) presented each of the girls with a check for $10,000 so they could attend. • Because Alejandra was only 10 years (well below the minimum age to attend) they sent in an audition tape to show she was capable of handling the music and classes. Pau sings lead on about 25% of the songs (either while drumming, or while at the keyboard, or just out front). Ale’ is a little shy about singing lead but steps in and sings lead when needed. All 3 can literally jump in and sing lead on any song if needed (with no drop-off in quality) and their harmonies in songs are simply amazing. • They have all given master classes on their instruments, and song writing, and performing (even at as young as 18 years old). • In 2015 they released an EP called Escape the Mind. It was a mix of different genres as they sorted out their musical style. • They released their first album in 2017 called XXI Century Blood (21st Century Blood). • They released their second album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene. It was a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey from desire, to love, to infatuation, to obsession, to psychotic, to murder, to remorse, and finally to suicide. It was an amazing album and was up for, and won, several Independent Music awards in 2019. • In 2021 Metallica asked 53 artists to take any of the 12 iconic songs from their Black album and do a cover (any way they wanted to) for their Black List album, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Alessia Cara (Canadian pop star) was asked to participate but had no idea what to do. Because she shares the same management group as The Warning, she contacted them for help. It was difficult to do as Alessia was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and travel with COVID was not happening. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. Because of that you will see that Alessia appears as a projection on the wall in the video as she was not there. It was recorded in an abandoned textile mill outside of Monterrey, Mexico. It was done in 2020 but sat because they could not release or tour with it because of Covid. • While touring in 2022 they opened for The Pretty Wreckless and Hailstorm. Lzzy Hale was so taken by the band and in particular Daniela that she presented Dany with a special Gibson Explorer guitar on stage mid-concert. There are videos out there of this and Lzzy does not shy away from telling this story. • Here is a 2022 professionally shot concert to give you an idea of their skills, their power, their stage presence, and their writing abilities. The Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert was their most important concert to date, as they were playing in Mexico’s most prestigious theater, and they were the only act. The 2-night event was sold out and they just killed it! The actual concert starts at around the 2:00 minute mark and it is timestamped so you can see each song title. Don't know if anybody else has mentioned but this concert was almost cancelled because they were all recovering from the flu. Pau, the drummer, was feeling the worst.

They have no rules when it comes to composing, they have songs in standard E tuning, some in drop D, drop C#, drop C, drop B and even some use a baritone guitar in drop A.
You have absolutely no idea this journey you are embarking on! This song is the opening song on their second album, released in 2018 when they were 18, 16, and 13 years old. Like others have said Dust To Dust and DullKnives are both in one chapter in the full concert video and this is on purpose as they were played as one performance. SO I would suggest to use the full concert video for reactions, as it prevents confusions like this and also includes crowd interactions and band speeches, plus subtitles when needed, which will be important for Black Holes and When I'm Alone.

They are young Lead guitarist born in 2000, durmmer in 2002 and bass player in 2004 and the sisters have been playing as a band since 2013. Dust to Dust is from their second album Queen of the Murder scene released in 2018.
Dany, the guitatist, has today her 25th birthday.
I recommend that you check out their Pepsi Center CDMX concert (from which this was taken) in order. It will give you a great sense of their excellence as songwriters (including the variety of styles they cover) and performers.

Nice reaction! As others have alluded to, at this concert they added a seamless transition between Dust to Dust and Dull Knives so that the whole package (song/transition/song) is designed to be experienced in one go. Dust to Dust actually ended with Dany’s (the guitarist’s) wail-the rest of what you watched was the transition. At some point I hope you’ll watch the whole package, even if it’s just for yourself :)

The Warning, Alejandra, Ale (pronounced Alleh) is the bassist and backing vocals (she will sing lead vocals when the lead singer is having voice issues), Paulina, Pau (pronounced Pow) drummer and lead and backing vocals, and Daniela, Dany, guitarist and lead vocalist. They all started out playing classical piano very young. Dust to Dust is the first song and prelude to their Queen of the Murder Scene which is a concept album, it tells a story of a woman's journey into madness, so it is best listened to from one song to the next! It was their second album. They have 4 albums and an EP (Escape the Mind) from when they were very young! I'm sure they are working on their fifth album! They have been signed to Lava Records/Republic Records since their 3rd album Error which they released in two parts. The first six songs they called their Mayday EP which was incorporated into the Error album! The Warning's 1st album is called XXI Century Blood! Currently they have been touring their 4th album Keep Me Fed!
One of the few bands I love on all their live performances, when you watch always choose the live performances. Cant go wrong.
They don't need Autotune, they always sing live in their presentations. They have so much understanding that they have the courage and confidence in each other that they bet on singing live, it is their forte for more than 10 years of career.

First heard The Warning in June of 2024. Since then, I saw them live twice and I'm flying to their hometown of Monterrey next February to see them again. First time in my life that I'm going to another country to see a band live. They're just that good!🔥🤘
This band, The Warning, are three sisters out of Monterrey, Mexico and are something special. Veterans at such young ages, they own the stage. They exhibit the same passion and energy whether they play for small private gathering or a stadium. I think they have a very bright future in front of them.
The Warning are a 3 sister rock band from Monterey Mexico. All 3 are musical prodigies, their ages for this concert is 23,21 and 18, they have been a band for over 10 years. They are brilliant and this concert and these 2 songs are a great introduction to them. I subscribed, they are an awesome rabbit hole to go down, I hope you continue to react to them.

Dany plays through a Kemper profiler with the signal split so she is playing in stereo which obviously fattens her sound considerably. All three are fantastic musicians and really sweet girls, they have a huge presence on social media. Dude the radio pretty much sucks nowadays. I finally saw the in September after following them for about five years and they really bring it live, it's an experience
Others have commented with a lot of info on this phenomenal band, but I'll add a bit more... they are fast rising, selling out their own multi-thousand seat shows, and have opened for Def Leppard, Stryper, Guns n' Roses, Halestorm, Three Day's Grace, Foo Fighters, Muse, and Evanescence among others, and will be opening for The Offspring in Brazil this March. Dany, the guitarist and main vocalist, has been personally gifted custom guitars by Lzzy Hale, Matt Bellamy, and just recently, Orianthi Panagaris.

They are on the Kelly Clarkson show tomorrow ( Jan 30), coincidentally it is Dany’s ( guitar) birthday tomorrow as well, she’s turning 25. Pau, on drums will soon be turning 23 and Ale, on Bass, turned 20 in December.
This entire concert is fantastic. A couple of my very favorites right now are “Z” and “Amour”. I say right now because my favorites switch around all the time because I love them all. My favorite band by far. I love these ladies.

This and the following song in that video are part of a concept album named Queen of the Murder Scene that came out 7 years or so back. This was the band's 10th anniversary concert and the band went into great lengths to add the transition between the songs, so, some fans will be offended by not letting it play through.
Yes DPA are a young bunch. The oldest (Dany) was born in 2000. In 2017/2018 (when Dust to Dust was written and recorded) the youngest (Ale) was 12/13. Ale's bass tone and bass lines in the debut concert in 2018 in Lunario (Mexico City) is something to hear. And of course, all drummers can sing intense lead ... no?

The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE" (2018), is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD" (2017), is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND" (2015); and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
Their 4th studio album, KEEP ME FED was released June 28th, 2024. They have released 7 singles: "MORE", "SICK", "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM", "AUTOMATIC SUN", "BURNOUT", "QUE MAS QUIERES", and "SIX FEET DEEP".
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Crazy they are 25, almost 23 and 20 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #57 original songs. They performed 2 songs at the 2023 MTV VMA's.
Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many.
Drummer Paulina won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's 2023 reader's poll.
They performed AUTOMATIC SUN at the 2024 MTV EMA's (European) in Manchester, United Kingdom. 4 days later they performed QUE MA`S QUIERES at the 2024 LATIN GRAMMYS in Miami, Florida. Both performances highlighted songs that were nominated for an award. They were interviewed and performed 3 songs live on television in front of a large studio audience in France December 20th, 2024 on the Taratata show.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California, USA. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. I met them again at Fingerprints Music in Long Beach California for a CD signing on the day their new album KEEP ME FED was released (June 28th, 2024) and the morning after they performed live on the Jimmy Kimmel show. I saw them again October 8th and 9th, 2024 in Los Angeles with a meet-n-greet on the second night.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.

The Warning rock band has the following characteristics in one package:
1.- They are at the top of instrumental and vocal talent.
2.- Ability to produce music and lyrics out of the ordinary, with very interesting and deep themes, this since they were teenagers. 4 albums and 2 EPs. (60 songs approx. absolutely all of great quality).
3.- Spectacular performance no matter if they are in front of 200 or 20,000 people, they play with the same energy. They don´t need to be vulgar or sexualized, or dress up or be extremely aggressive, great respect for their public and their fans.
4.- Excellent quality of life off stage, humility and simplicity, without scandals or gossip, perhaps a little conservative for the style of many rockers.
5.- Only three pieces are enough for their musical production and for their performance. This is admirable.
6.- Almost military effort and discipline.
7.- Youth, barely in their 20s and already with 10 years of experience.
8.- And one more, I don't know if it's important, they are beautiful girls, almost models.
The Warning is like when you find an extraordinary buffet: there is quality food for all tastes and ages, you don't get bored of the menu, you recommend it to your friends, and at the end you want to come back again and again.

The girls, today, are 25 (Dany, Guitar), 23 (Pau, Drums) and 20 (Ale, Bass). The show is from late 2023, and this song, from their 2nd album, was released in 2018, so by a band of 19, 17 and 14 years old.
This song is actually all in standard tuning... but Dany (guitar) does use a Kemper profiler pedalboard and spits out two channels... one channel is to a harmonizer with a 10ms delay and a (whammy) octave shift down one octave... so it had a deeper sound... also gives a fuller sound like she is has more than one guitar on stage with her. :-) Also, Ale (bass) does play a 5-string bass, so you do hear her play on that B string sometimes... especially right at the end. (The B string gets more use in other songs.)

DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 4 and 6 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar) when they started learning and playing classical piano... Ale (bass) was still pretty much a newborn... they all learned and played classical piano first... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along... Pau, at age 6, gravitated to the drums and Dany, at age 8, took up the guitar... Ale was 7 or had just turned 8 when she chose the bass... a few months after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band and here we are today...
today the girls are 25 (Dany - Jan 30 2000), 22 (Pau - Feb 5 2002), and 20 (Ale - Dec 13 2004)...

That is good but also a little unfortunate. Dull Knives is part of their 2nd release a concept album. Maybe now that you know them you should go back to the beginning of their careers and work forward from there. It will give you a lot of insight into what you are hearing today. Their breakout video of a cover of Enter Sandman back in 2014 when they were 14, 12 and 9 is where it all started.

The Warning, referred to as DPA (Dani, Pau, and Ale) are 3 sisters from Mexico; all 3 have great voices/sing. Dani, guitarist, oldest (Alto), is lead singer with a gorgeous voice/ remarkable range (C♯3-G6). Ale, Bassist, youngest (just turned 20, composed Dust to Dust at 11) has a great voice (Contralto) can sing lead, very shy, sings lead whenever Dani has vocal issues. Pau, Drummer of The Year 2023, (Mezzo) sings lead vocals on several songs, including D2D, while playing drums; Very Rare. Ale, a world-class Jazz Bassist playing Rock, plays Bass-line, Melody-line, throws in Bass-solos, and switches back to the Bass-line, as if it's nothing. You can readily hear Ale's skill/Jazz influences, and Dani's killer vocals, in The Warning's cover of "You Oughta Know."
The transition from Dust to Dust to Dull Knives from this Pepsi Center concert was flawless and epic; which is why DPA joined the 2 and why you'll likely get a lot grief for not reviewing them together. It also solved another issue since the release of the concept album Queen of The Murder Scene as Dull Knives was widely regarded as too short but no matter how hard the sisters tried they couldn't extend it without ruining it. Not only is the transition from D2D to DK brilliant, the build is incredible, and even though the 2 songs weren't in this order on the album, musically they work perfectly together. Dust to Dust is the first song and Prologue, while Dull Knives is much later, track 9, and in the 3rd Chapter, yet they work brilliantly together. You missed a golden opportunity in not reacting to them together specifically because the sisters deliberately wanted them to be together and so treated them as one extended track here. It begs the question: If you were reacting to "Soft Cell" deliberately singing - "Tainted Love / Where Did Our Love Go" live together would you split those 2 songs as well?
(Queen of the Murder Scene (QOTMS) is the second studio album from “The Warning”, released by chapters. There are a total of 4 chapters and a prologue. The single of this album is the song "Dust to Dust" which is also the prologue of the album. Ale, a brilliant prodigy trained as a Jazz Bassist, composed the melody for D2D at 11 and fully adapted it, creating the full composition for the song, at 13.)

it is inviting you in to a funeral to hear the deep, dark, and foreboding story of a young woman apparently in love with someone that doesn't even know she exists... it is a story about how well things can appear to be going and how fast it can all fall apart... it follows her battles between good and evil over her soul...
the Spanish speaking part (hard to hear in the 2023 Pepsi Center show but definitely voiced by the audience) is their manager, Rudy, playing the part of a preacher at the funeral... translated to English, this is what he says...

DPA/TW's _"Queen of the Murder Scene"_ is one of those concept albums best experienced by listening to it from beginning to end in order... listening to each of the songs piecemeal and out of order is like trying to figure out a movie by catching a portion near the end, one from near the beginning, and one near the middle... yeah, it won't work out very well... their performance of it at Lunario was the first time the album was presented in full to the public... it had been released over time in chapters of three songs each and the last three songs were presented here to complete the album... i like their Lunario show because it was the first public performance, the animations on the big screen behind Pau, and the girls were in character... others prefer their presentation of QOTMS at another venue for various reasons...
as a concept album, many of us members of TWA can easily see QOTMS as a movie or Broadway stage performance... it is that good and to think it was written by them at a very young age and released as their 2nd album! i mean... whoa! who does that?? 😹
Fun Fact: Rudy, one of their managers, plays the part of a preacher in two of DPA/TW's tracks... the 1st one is in *Dust to Dust* off the QOTMS album... the 2nd is in the OMV for their 3rd Spanish track, *Qué Más Quieres* ... while you cannot hear it in the OMV, he does actually say the same part in both...

They are all insanely talented but the drummer, Paulina (Pau), is a generational talent. I've never seen anyone who can play drums the way she does while singing at the same time. She sings lead on quite a few songs but even when she's singing backing vocals, she's still singing at the top pf of her lungs and beating the crap out of the drums!

A good reason why you've never heard them on the radio is that they were independent for their first 2 albums. They got signed to a major label during the pandemic. Before getting signed, they smartly used social media to build a very dedicated (global) fanbase called The Warning Army (TWA). The label took a while before pushing them via conventional channels (radio/television) probably because of the pandemic disruption.
Welcome to The Warning..Should have played Dull Knives with this..They combined them for a reason I think.. anyhow . You're going to love these young ladies..Start at the opener of The Pepsi center cdmx concert.. "Disciple". The Pepsi Center show is brilliant all the way to the end . 🌍✌️

The album tells the story of a woman’s love for someone who apparently doesn’t feel the same way about her, and how that love leads to obsession, murder, and madness. D2D is the prologue, which is followed by four chapters of three songs each; DK is the second song of the third chapter, so it’s much further along in the story.
One thing that you do miss in this version is that during the bridge, there’s a spoken piece in Spanish by the band’s manager, Rudy Joffroy. (In a few early concerts he did it live, but he couldn’t always do it quickly enough, so it got put onto a backing track.) In this concert, the whole audience is shouting it along with the track, and it muddies it enough that you can’t make it out.
Most of the time, their songwriting process is started by Pau getting a basic proto-song on piano, then taking it to the other two for completion, but D2D is mostly credited to Ale, who came up with that bass riff at 11. (The QOTMS album came out when they were 18, 16, and 13. Pau confesses that a lot of the album is influenced by her going through her “emo period” at the time.)
My honest recommendation, if you want to get the full effect, would be to check out some more of the 2023 Pepsi Center and 2022 Teatro Metropolitan concerts (IMHO, when a song is in both, do PC, except for “Narcisista” -- in the TM version you get to see Pau step out from behind the drum kit) but then check out the 2018 Lunario concert for a full performance of QOTMS, in order.
Oh if you like fast cars - then welcome to your new favorite band The Warning because they have a load of great music that is excellent for blasting while cruising on the road, preferably with windows/roof down! I only found The Warning in November of 2021 - US rock radio has generally failed us, there is a lot of music out there that I've only found through YT and YT reactors. You are going to really want to dive in, you will really love their music. And you'll find no end to content, spanning over 10 years, tons of interviews, a few TEDx talks, a few documentaries, after a while you'll feel like you actually know them.

You are correct, TW is not a metal band.
They are indeed mostly a rock/hard rock band but don’t genre stereotype them.
They pull influences from grunge, indie, alt, some progressive or any other sub genre of rock you can think of and even genres outside of rock .
Don’t let people get to you. This concert was the first (well technically the 3rd) concert they arranged these 2 songs this way.
They played 3 near identical shows (Guadalajara, Monterrey, and CDMX) in the same outfits so they had plenty of footage to use for the concert video but most of the footage appears to be from CDMX (Mexico City).
Dany has also done a tease intro to Dull Knives in the past hitting the opening note of the song and letting it ring out. She does it a few times and waits for the crowd to get amped then they start into the song.
There is no auto tune and no lip sync with The Warning...
So many reactors know nothing about The Warning, or have gotten wrong information about these ladies so this is a brief history of the band… and remember, The Warning is almost always better live than a music video or studio recording. You cannot get the passion and stage presence of a live performance from a music video. There are some exceptions but this is the general rule.
The Warning is made up of 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra Villerreal Velez.
• They started early. Their parents loved all types of rock music and there was always music, or concert videos playing. They would spend Saturday evenings watching performances by Queen, AC/DC, Elton John, and many, many other bands.
• In 2005 when Daniela was 5 years old and Paulina was 3, they were enrolled in music initiation classes- they loved it. Alejandra was only around 1 year old so she had to wait for her time but went through the same classes.
• They all started classical piano lessons when they were between 6 and 7 years old.
• In 2007 when Daniela was 7 years old their dad bought them the video game “Rock Band” and they completely fell in love with playing it. Dany played the guitar, Paulina was 5 and playing the drums, and Alejandra (being only 3 at the time) stood next to them and clapped along. They loved the aspect of performing on stage and dreamed of doing that.
• In 2008 their dad asked Daniela if she wanted to learn another instrument (along with the piano). She chose the guitar. Around the same time Paulina chose the drums (she was 6). At that time Ale’ was still too young but when she turned 6, she wanted to play the bass but had to wait until she was 7 to be big enough to hold and play it. They then realized they could play those 3 instruments together and they began playing as a band.
• In 2014 they were playing in their basement studio that their dad made (selling his Harley Davidson motorcycle to afford it) and decided to make a video for their grandparents to see how far they had progressed. The file was too big to just email so dad uploaded the video onto RUclips and sent the grandparents the link. The video went viral and was seen by millions (well over 25 million to date) include Metallica. Kurt Hammet shouted out Paulina on the drums. • Another person who saw that video was Ellen DeGeneres and in 2015 the girls made their US debut on the Ellen show. The girls wanted to go to the prestigious Burklee College of Music to learn musical theory and more and were trying to raise the money to do so. Ellen heard this and when they were on the show, she (and Target) presented each of the girls with a check for $10,000 so they could attend.
• Because Alejandra was only 10 years (well below the minimum age to attend) they sent in an audition tape to show she was capable of handling the music and classes. • Dany sings lead on about 75% if the songs. Pau sings lead on about 25% of the songs (either while drumming, or while at the keyboard, or just out front). Ale’ is a little shy about singing lead but steps in and sings lead when needed. All 3 can literally jump in and sing lead on any song if needed (with no drop-off in quality) and their harmonies in songs are simply amazing.
• They have all given master classes on their instruments, and song writing, and performing (even at as young as 18 years old).
• In 2015 they released an EP called Escape the Mind. It was a mix of different genres as they sorted out their musical style.
• They released their first album in 2017 called XXI Century Blood (21st Century Blood).
• They released their second album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene. It was a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey from desire, to love, to infatuation, to obsession, to psychotic, to murder, to remorse, and finally to suicide. It was an amazing album and was up for, and won, several Independent Music awards in 2019.
• In 2021 Metallica asked 53 artists to take any of the 12 iconic songs from their Black album and do a cover (any way they wanted to) for their Black List album, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Alessia Cara (Canadian pop star) was asked to participate but had no idea what to do. Because she shares the same management group as The Warning, she contacted them for help. It was difficult to do as Alessia was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and travel with COVID was not happening. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. Because of that you will see that Alessia appears as a projection on the wall in the video as she was not there. It was recorded in an abandoned textile mill outside of Monterrey, Mexico. • In 2020, after 7 months of negotiations they signed with Lava/Republic records and went straight into the studio to record an album.
• In 2022 they released their third album (first since signing to Lava Records) called Error and is amazing! It was done in 2020 but sat because they could not release or tour with it because of Covid.
• While touring in 2022 they opened for The Pretty Wreckless and Hailstorm. Lzzy Hale was so taken by the band and in particular Daniela that she presented Dany with a special Gibson Explorer guitar on stage mid-concert. There are videos out there of this and Lzzy does not shy away from telling this story.
• Here is a 2022 professionally shot concert to give you an idea of their skills, their power, their stage presence, and their writing abilities. The Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert was their most important concert to date, as they were playing in Mexico’s most prestigious theater, and they were the only act. • In 2023 they opened 4 shows for their absolute idols Muse in Mexico City in front of 60,000 fans. Muse was so taken by The Warning’s performances that they asked them after the 4th show to go to Europe and do 5 more shows with them! Matt Bellamy was so taken with Daniela that he presented her with a one-of-a-kind Manson guitar.
• In 2023 they were invited to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards. They were the only band to perform that was not up for some type of award. Only about 6 people in the crowd even knew who they were but as you can see from the 2 songs the audience quickly fell in love with them-

Don't know if anybody else has mentioned but this concert was almost cancelled because they were all recovering from the flu. Pau, the drummer, was feeling the worst.

They have no rules when it comes to composing, they have songs in standard E tuning, some in drop D, drop C#, drop C, drop B and even some use a baritone guitar in drop A.

Genius on display!
Like others have said Dust To Dust and DullKnives are both in one chapter in the full concert video and this is on purpose as they were played as one performance. SO I would suggest to use the full concert video for reactions, as it prevents confusions like this and also includes crowd interactions and band speeches, plus subtitles when needed, which will be important for Black Holes and When I'm Alone.
