    You can do that on 600jr and the size master. When doing 3" on the 600jr you need to have the longer sizing tube to screw sizing ring . They are usually included when you purchase the press. I liked your video very much. Have been reloading shotshells in 12, 20, 28 and 410 for about 45 years. Have loaded on most of the Mec presses 600jr pre 83 and the 650 pre 83 and the Mec Grabbers and also a couple Texans in 12ga and 410 on the model IV's these presses no longer made maybe 45 year ago. The presses that I listed I still have and still reload on them though not as much as I use to. Still shoot a little sporting clays on the weekend and less right now due Covid 19. The clubs are just starting to shoot again with some restrictions. Thanks again for the great video.

    With the MEC RELOADER do get a conversion kit for them if you want to reload a different gauge, I was thinking getting one and reload 12 ,20 , and 10 gauge

      Certainly with the mec 600jnr you can conversion kits to reload all the gauges

    Sir I believe you can remove the bolt at the base of the reloader and lower the dies down to 2 1/2 or up to 3" when you start at 2 3/4"

      Hi Mike you are correct, using the plate is quicker and settings dont need altering

    Why did you go to the effort to drill holes in the adapter plate?

      Hi Thanks for question. The holes line up exactly where the live primers are so as not to exert any pressure on them during the reloading process thats why they are there in the reloading press base
      cheers

      Aha! Ok, that makes sense. I didn't think that would be a problem. But if there would be a stray hard shot just right on the plate, then I guess there is a possibility of setting off a primer..

    Hey I am going to start reloading my self
    I see all the recipes state what hull to use.
    Do you have to stick to that hull or can any hull be safe to use

    • @woodsman2433
      @woodsman2433  7 лет назад +1

      The main thing to be aware of when it comes to Hulls is that you dont confuse reload data for compression formed Hulls with straight wall plastic tube Hulls such as Cheddite and fiocchi . Straight wall Hulls have a greater capacity so load date used for Cheddite or Fiocchi cases should not be used in Compression formed cases such as Winchester AA or Remington Premier as the pressure will be too high the other way aroung is perfectly fine though
      Hope this helps

      Woodsman243 thank you
      finding it hard to match the components as most of the data I see is US data and I am in the UK and my gun shops don’t stock it

      A good port of call would be Clay and Game reloaders and speak to Steven Dale he can supply reloading sheets for a pound which use European components
