I bought the base 2022 KLR with Abs for $5800 (US) two years ago. It's the perfect bike. A blank canvas that you can personalize to your needs with reasonable aftermarket options.
I would have agreed with you regarding the KLR up until this year with the release of the new Royal Enfield 452 Himalayan and the ADV offerings from CF Moto. The RE is getting rave reviews for performance, and reliability at $5600.00. The CF Moto wouldn’t be my choice but I’ve seen actual owners like Nathan The post man take them all over the world and beat the hell out of them. I also believe they are well under $10k.
The Himalayan may prove to be a better bike in the long run, but for me it’s too new. RE’s first attempt at a water cooled engine is bound to have issues. They do look fantastic though.

I only got 25 miles on my white S KLR and I love it.

Hi Peter
is it euro 5
Honestly, I'm not sure. I film in Canada, so I'm not always up to date on if certain bikes are certified in other areas.
