thanks for your thoughts on the meta game! the audio during the decklist portion is panned all the way to the left, making it weird to listen in headphones, but still quality content regardless.
Unfair Stamp plus Counter Catcher Archeops goes hard. If you play Enhanced you can also get around Legacy, stop a Gift, or get rid of an energy off a cinno (when they have 2) in combination with KO on chops. If Lugia draws perfect it will win though, but we know how rare that is lol

Tbh i think Drago is underrated. Ive been playing a lot of Dragapult lately and its the one deck ive struggled against. Even tho CPao has a "bad" Drago match up, its been the only deck that feels like i usually have a solid chance to beat them. Ive tried messing with lost box as well but my draws with it on live are really bad and it feels really underwhelming.
I find one of the big problems with Drago is that it is susceptible to bricking as well. I need to use the VSTAR power half my games just to stabilize. I also just don't think it can consistently beat Gardevoir right now.
Hi Ciaran! Hmm.. From experience I would say Raging Bolt is on even matchup with Charizard. It's not a bad matchup as long as it has baby sandy shocks then just keep on knocking out charmanders and pidgeys early.
I'd say if Raging Bolt draws perfect it will always beat Charizard, but Radiant Zard becomes super tough to deal with. The Zard player can also go Counter Catcher Unfair Stamp and it becomes hard to recover
I use a combination of the Gardy builds. I don't see any use for Creselia now. Unfair Stamp is too good. Im between Zard and Gardy. Challenges I might lean Gardy, but for Cups Zard might be the way. Also i love 8 Psychic Energy in Gardy but that's just me.
I was actually thinking of just running Henry's build with Unfair Stamp, but in best of 1 I generally lean towards consistency. Without Drifloon I've felt fine with 7 Psychic.
Same, I prefer gardy and charizard decks overall. Regidrago has grown on me. I feel the same way about excluding cresselia, I've picked mimikyu and some other options that work well in the deck. I'm waiting for the duskull line tho, Charizard might just take over.
@CiaranTCG yup for sure. My friend at locals plays miraidon alot. Last time we battled I played hedricks exact list and beared him 6times for the set lol
Hello, I have a question for you. Thinking about Gardy for a cup, do you think it is still necessary to tech e hammer? I feel like double hands is an autoloss either way, and cincinno lugia feels like a 50/50 matchup with it. Thanks!
@@BlazikenTCG1 I think most people playing Lugia are still running Cincinno. If your area has any it's probably still worth it. If you're worried about jamming tower maybe run sinnoh instead since it has some utility outside of just lugia as a counter stadium
@@CiaranTCG I haven’t seen too many Lugias at my local cups lately, but the ones I have seen are usually playing double hands. My biggest issue has just been bricking with Gardy, so was thinking that cutting e hammer for a consistency card could be helpful.
I don't know how much it improves the matchup. You still need Cologne, and Greninja would get you 2 prizes. I'd have to test it though, maybe that 3rd prize is the difference
Counter Catcher and Unfair Stamp are your best friends. If you play Enhanced Hammer and/or Sinnoh the matchup gets a lot better. After they take their first KO you want to stamp and counter catcher a chops. Then when you KO cinno you want to enhanced or sinnoh to stop gift
If you don't have any techs for the Gardy matchup then they just outrade you with one prize Pokemon. They can even KO ogerpon without Charm on Drifloon by using monkey.
@@CiaranTCG yeah what you’re suppose to do is limit the amount of easy 2 prize on the board. Lost vac drifloom/ boss garde. Also use baby sandy shooks to clean up little guys
Target kirlias really early. If they can only get two ralts in play turn one and you boss up and ko an early ralts/kirlia. You have a lot of momentum then in the game.
Set up a board of Gardevoir, Flutter, Ralts, Ralts, Ralts, Drifloon. Attack with Gardevoir with a dark energy and if Ralts gets gusted just use its attack to bring it back to the bench. Save your Turos in case you start with something bad or need to reset your energy.
I think it is pretty underrated right now. If your meta has a lot of Bolt and Lost Box it is in a good spot, but the rest of its matchups are a bit shaky.
I don’t know about Raging Bolt being a good matchup against Dragapult. I usually run through it setting up the bench attacks finishing it off with bosses orders pulling 4 prizes. That deck usually bench 4 2prizers at a time
Raging Bolt just KOs the Pults super efficiently, and they have the Switching carts to take their Pokemon out of the 4 prize turns as long as they save them. I find Dragapult has trouble stringing together KOs as well. If pult needs to take a 1 prize KO they can just use Sandy Shocks as well to force a Boss from the Pult player
Trade positively with Drifloon and Scream Tail. Tail can KO Squawk and Drifloon kos regidrago and Ogerpon easily. You can munki 30 to ogerpon and not even need a bravery charm. Also look to Munkidori the damage counters they place with Phantom dive
Turn 2 Phantom Dive coupled with a Prime Catcher can handicap the Gardy deck a lot. So push to get Primal Dive and go from there. Vaccuum and Jamming Tower are also good.
@@animeandrice9664 phantom dive and it is dependent on what's on the board where you put the counters. I tend to put all on Kirlia but if there is an attacker on board put enough counters on it so that gardevoir cannot place counters is also a good move. But I hate to say it but it depends.
@@jokur3 my problem is if u put it all on kirlia and it evolves to gardi that’s bad for u and if u put it on an attacker they can monkey then still use the attacker or charm it so I’m thinking it might be correct to use noiverns attack or goodra
