I’ve mained beast tamer for a while and let me just say, hawk mode with enough funding is the most low maintenance mobbing out of any class I’ve played. Fly, use the tornado, then use the other attack till flying wears out, then use your 5th job summons and hyper skills, the fly goes back off cooldown. The cooldowns are perfectly timed to be hitting the entire screen constantly with either hawk or 5th job skills and that’s just really fun >.>
As an Evan main the skillgate is honestly what attracts me most. I feel like too many classes are hold a button down and destroy everything, but with Evan i feel like all the destruction i create is warranted! Reaching endgame with great stats you can also simplify your play when mobbing, having so many attacks between you and mir, you can have complete control over the map! Though it is a little clunky and mobbing can be difficult in certain maps, but its all about what you like! Plus yeah YOU GET A DRAGON LETS GO
@@Sandy-j8p amazing movement and dps options, lots of invul skills and probably the strongest burst in the game on top of being the flashiest, little squishy though
@JetKicks always nice to see another Evan main! I've tried so many other classes but always end back up on my evan after less than a day lmao, the playstyle is so unique and never gets boring
I think one other thing that's worth mentioning about Kanna is that it's slightly easier to fund her than other mages in terms of potential and bonus stats, because Kanna has a passive that gives her +1 MA for every 700 hp, and also changes all mp-gaining bonuses to hp, which means on top of gaining damage from %int and %all stats potential, she also gains dmg from %hp and %mp potentials, while all the other mages do not gain any dmg from hp and mp stats. Not factoring the fact that she's also insanely tanky because she gets so much hp (sometimes even more hp than warrior classes).
Agreed, I just leveled mine to 140 in reboot yesterday, and it's really fun once you get the mechanics down. Their damage is insane and their mobbing is amazing, Easily a top tier class in my opinion. Going to main Illium now
@@JuanNath For bossing... they’re alright middle of the DPS charts. It’s just really fun and their mobbing is top tier for sure. Illiums do have 3 s however (Longinus Zone, eform, and can give themselves and their party 10 secs of with crystalline bulwark) and some solid burst
it's definitely one of the classes that takes quite some time to get used to. When I first played illium, I couldn't stand the way the class functions and considered him to be my least favorite class. but after giving him another chance one day, I changed my mind, and now I enjoy the class quite a bit.
Just a quick note for kinesis as a kinesis main. Kinesis doesn't have two s unless you consider ethereal form an . The one your probably thinking of deep impact isn't an I frame but a very long teleport. You can not use it to stop map wipe effects. Like Arkarium or papulatus lasers touching.
Blaze Wizards are S++ in 'being a pyromancer' btw, a very important consideration indeed. It's what makes them the best class in the game, way better than all the other mages. --this comment sponsored by a pyromaniacal Blaze Wizard main
I have a I/L, a BW, Illium, and Kinesis. Really love the I/L, but her skills are pretty slow, especially after 200. BW is definitely another favorite, and I adore the little lion and fox (I forget what that particular skill is called 😅). However, I'm constantly in the poor house, because she consumes potions like crazy! Very frustrating! So far though, her bossing is pretty good, imo. The last two...I don't quite remember. I liked them for the time I played them, but I don't recall being overly enthusiastic about them. Admittedly, I only got Illium to 120 . Not sure what level my Kinesis is at. I tried BT, but it was too difficult for me to play. (My hand-eye coordination isn't great, due to my disability.)
Burned an Evan on reboot. Glad I got that one to 200. I'd love to get it to 210+, but it feels like I need to manage so much and also it seems clunky. Not a fun class to me. Thematically and aesthetically it's amazin though.
I find illium quite fun to play, in the hours you waste playing this game it's nice to play a class that can grind using 4 buttons instead of an entire keyboard or flash jump skill spam, you don't feel like you're overworking yourself/just spamming 2 buttons for 1hr straight
As a Luminous main, we don't spam Reflection actualy (even if crazy funded to one shot in Dark mode) but spam Equilbrium because of the V skill Gate of Light which only available once per EQ, as it basically destroy a huge part of the map, in return give better rate than simply Reflection spam all day. Tbh I wish Nexon will eventually allow Lumi to jump tp without Equilibrium, that would make Lumi much less clunky without investing in BD for IA and Legion blocks.
ive been a Beast Tamer main since they released. it's honestly the only class i enjoy, but I 100% agree that they really dont exceed in any category. but when in a party, having a Arby(Cat) to buff the strong DPS and Bossers is always fun to watch as a Support. as someone who is wanting to main a new class, i really hope we get that Sheep Mage class next year. I need a new main for my own sanity as a lvl 231 Beast Tamer
I wouldn't say BT doesn't excel at anything. From my experience to level 220 I can say they have fantastic mobbing (in fact one of my fastest characters to go from 200 to 220) along with multiple long I-frames and possibly the best mobility in the game with Hawk mode. Also pretty gnarly burst if you allocate your skill points correctly thanks to the whistle skill. I do think they could definetly use more damage or at least increase the duration of the whistle, but over all it's a solid class with many strenghs.
There has unfortunately never been a perfect mage to me. I love most of Kinesis's kit, but the lack of teleport kills it for me. Battle Mage would be great, but it's a melee class when I want to be a proper spellcaster. Evan would work if the macro system wasn't so restrictive as it has the teleport, high jump, and stance (at least while Mir is attacking) to do everything I want, but lets be honest I don't have the skill to handle more than 2 combo spells at a time on a keyboard on top of typical boss movement. I still got a legion to work though so I'll hold off on picking a main until we see what the new goat mage is going to be.
I remember when I could actually find a party and play with random people or do kerning city's party quest and fight the slime and hope you get the slime boots.. crazy how the times change.
Hi sir i would like to ask what to do after reach lvl200? I mean the equipment, my stats damage only reach 200k with full buffs. Im using kanna btw.so it takes time to kill monster same lvl as mine. Could u please help me by choosing eq, or stat points. Watching your vids, your damage is insane. You can instantly kill all mons. Far away from mine.
What i don't get about maple... is that they haven't just removed the kishin's increase in spawnrate... But just made it passive in every zone after second job...
I really wish they gave all the mage classes a flying ability like what illium and hoyoung have. We see the gadaulf in ellieum flying all the time. We should be able to do it too.
I was, am and forever will be a loyal player of Bishop. Playing MS alone is just not that fun. Bishop for life! And also Ice-Lightning since back in 2010, a level 120 Ice-Lighting mage was dope as heck.
The BT, as he stated, is literally four distinct builds in one class. Hawk mode is great for mobbing and mobility, but it's only 1:4 ways to play the class. When you combine the lack of offense from Cat, the discouraging mobility of Bear, and the max 3-mob hitting combo spasms of Leopard, you get to that B+ idea.
At this point in Maplestory, after you reach level 200 and complete a few specific quests, you gain access to skills from other classes. For example, bishops have Holy Symbol - increased experience for killing monsters. This skill can now be obtained by any class. In the past, MS didn't have this feature (any class getting skills from other classes), so players would look for a variety of classes and create a party to grind (train) or do boss fights. Different classes coming together meant a slew of different party buffs and class-unique skills for offensive abilities. Different classes actually served different purposes. Now, however, any single class can essentially self-heal, boost self-experience, boost self-critical rate %, bind (stop / freeze) a boss, inflict negative statuses on enemies, double jump and/or teleport, revive other players, and etc. One single player, with any single class, can fulfill the role of many different classes because of the in-game feature to acquire skills from other classes. Bishops had their use for boosting party experience, healing party members, reviving a party member (usually during bossing), and increasing defense and attack; but since those abilities exist (to be acquired) for any class, now, the single purpose of the bishop in a party is pretty much useless. (On a side note: the game has developed and changed drastically so that it emphasizes solo play rather than party formation for grinding or bossing. Unless you find a nice guild to join or bring your friends into the game [so that you're all new together], you probably will never be in a party with other players.) Training a bishop class is the same as any other class: you grind / kill mobs and you fight bosses; some events provide trivial amounts of experience, too. Bishops have the lowest damage output of the game because their design was for party support rather than solo play - which is the majority of the game, nowadays. You can still fight monsters and bosses as a bishop, but it's harder and slower. You don't have particularly fancy or exciting offensive skills, and your party support skills won't seem that great when applied to you since you'll probably be solo playing (due to the nature of the game and how players interact with each other).
A lot of these ratings for mobbing are pretty inaccurate. A++ Lumi mobbing doesn't make sense at all. It used to be one of the best back in the day. And to place it lower than Kanna who can literally increase spawn control of the monsters, have four install skills for mobbing, four huge AoEs, two final attacks that help with mobbing, and another passive that shoots homing charms upon monsters upon proccing. And Beast Tamer is B+? BT is arguably the second strongest mobber for all of the mages as well..
Why is party training no longer a thing? I played this game upon release until about maybe 2009? All I remember was 4th job hadn't been out too long and the only new classes were Aran, then Evan and I think the Cygnus Knights and that's around when I quit. Mained a Paladin (was 2 handed for the longest time until 4th job made it obvious they wanted you to go with a shield) and my favorite alt was a priest because everyone wanted to party with them. What's the point in playing this game if everything is solo content by the looks and sound of it? When I go to play mmo's like these I want to be playing with my friends, is that only a thing for like the new current boss fights or what now days?
MS is a cash-grab by Nexon. Players wanted to hit for a trillion damage per line; they wanted to get 300+% boss damage; they wanted to Holy Symbol, Iron Body, Combat Orders, Critical Eyes, and more by themselves. They wanted to double and triple jump alongside teleport with every characters. Players pretty much weren't satisfied with the idea that one class served a distinct purpose. Nexon listened. Any class can do just about any feature from self-heal to self-experience boost to revival to this new fappalicious notion of the "i-frame" (using a skill to become invincible during a boss fight). Nexon turned MS into Solo-play Story with the entirety of the Maple-themed world xD

@@yin9121 You should be fine since you can easily maintain your stacks, constantly attacking will ensure you’ll be at max stacks
I think your bossing complaint with battlemage is just a l2p issue. When u get the hang of telecasting in every direction, rare are the times you can't do it at a boss.
Will black mage be a playable class in the future?
bruh wtf you mean battle mage bossing is s+++ we got all the damage boosters bro ied% crit% everything im always on 100% crit rate and i got 101% crit damage bruh fix that or imma find you >:(
It’s all fun and games until Evan runs out of mana potions.
"Instead Kinesis uses Psychic Points or PP for short", yeah let's use our pp to defeat monsters
battle mage is my fav, a mage that gets up close and personal with magic and fuck your shit
I dont play maple since nobody is online.. i mean i dont see nobody training!
Most players are level 200 now. Like Coppersan here, they rush to get to 5th job so they can do dailies for the rest of their Maple lives. There isn't much happening for characters under level 200.
Are these rates for 1-200? Because otherwise they'd make little sense.
Its about the overall class, all jobs and stats
illium bossing is A not A-
2:55 yeah, and thats sad, thats why old maple is better in a lot a ways, PEOPLE TALK TO EACH OTHER BACK THEN 😱😱😱😤
420 blaze wizard, lol, nice one Mr. San
"NO ONE CAN WIN ADELE"
The big pp the growing pp the nior hero Kenisis
Poor luminous
kannas have too much in their kit in comparison, something must be done
Everyone talk about mindless grinding but i felt opposite... I did Adele and seriously wanted to just grind some monsters instead of i had to read storyline quests and do NOTHING till lvl 50 except reading fkd up fantasy transgender storyline ._. Huge dissapointment
Best about it is that i didnt even meet ONE SINGLE person by the time i get 50 lvl... This is MMORPG. Hilarious...
Came back after 10 years of break just to quit in few hours. Atleast privates still live.
Your accent is so cute!
I miss the old MapleStory
I main a fresh kanna on Reboot Na, 478 legion. Get on my level.
GMS Kanna is the best mage class fs
illium second
Illium and cadena are the worst classes in maple

Cadena >>> Illium > Blaster
Beast Tamer Rank 1, 2, 3 and 4.
