      1) it’s still a good thing to do for others, especially at a densely crowded event like PAX
      2) people all over the world have worn masks in public spaces long before COVID
      3) there are other infectious diseases than COVID

I was at Thought Bubble in Harrogate back in November, and whilst it wasn’t mandatory, plenty of people were masked up. I forgot mine on the train and came home with what felt like every head cold in four counties for my trouble. Honestly, it’s a pretty straightforwardly good idea at events like conventions.

Come to think of it, there’ve been a lot of masks in the crowd the last few bands I’ve been to see and all

      2) Only in places like Japan where they are very conscious about it. It's not weird seeing it at PAX, it's weird seeing EVERYONE at PAX doing it out of quarantine
Just look for any PAX footage in youtube you'll see one or two people out of quarantine wearing masks but not more than that.
