    FYI it's the blue shifted light from screens that impairs sleep function, not just light itself. If you use LED or CFL lightbulbs and use the 'cooler' ranges of light that give a more natural white color, those are blue shifted too and so reading a book by such light prior to bedtime will produce the same impairment as screen time with blue shifted screen back lights.
    The solution is just to use the 'warmer' (more yellow) ranges of the light spectrum for any lights you use for reading at night, and, more recently, the 'night time light' settings that many phones, tablets and desktop screens are coming with that shift the light from the device screen from blue to yellow. It's marketed for reading generally as well, but once the sun goes down basically all your devices should be switched to the night time light settings.

    So I'm confused, Stan did a video on how Important fats like bacon and dairy are for a bulking diet, yet here he says how he told hafthor and Shaw to stop eating so many fats? Did he change his opinion?

    • @Ryantcross88
      @Ryantcross88 6 лет назад

      CrackinJacks138 I think (not based on any factual evidence just viewing Brian Shaw videos for a few years) he was saying Shaw was kind of leaning on high fat foods which is easier to get high calorie intake but it doesn’t yield results as well as more nutrient dense “cleaner” foods

    Chad/Stan....if I'm making an appt for my doctor and asking for "blood work" relevant to an athlete or weightlifter etc, what panels would I be suggesting to them? "Gimme the works chief!" ? Is there a name for it? I haven't ever gotten one, consider myself pretty healthy, but also haven't ever had full blood work so not exactly sure where I stand.

      I'm not Stan or Chad, but I am an RN. I would recommend asking for a Complete Metabolic Panel, Hemoglobin A1c, fasting blood sugar, fasted lipid panel, and vitamin D. Btw, I think Stan offers a link on his website to a company that will mail you your blood test kit.

      Juggernaut Training Systems Can you send me more information about the personalized service linked there? The link was broke when I clicked it. I need specific help with actual food prep on what to eat (I am picky and stick to the same foods, so I would need analysis of what I have been doing and what I should change), reaching certain goals, and ongoing feedback and modifications.

    Just on FYI for the Cpap conversation. Yes the American medical system is messed up and the process is long and tedious, but not all Cpap/Bipaps are made the same they all have different settings and modes. If you get one online from someone else, not a medical doctor with a pressure prescription, you may get something that is not strong enough or to strong and that can be dangerous. If you think you have obstructive sleep apnea you should see your doctor and get a sleep study. Just guessing is not a good idea.

      Scott Gregory. Good effort, but wrong. American Bison (wrongly called Buffalo - You know that old American dude "Buffalo Bill". Should have been Bison Bill, but doesn't sound the same does it) have been wrongly called Buffalo for a long time.This is a Bison - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_bison
      This is a (Water) Buffalo - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_buffalo
      Hope you learned something today. Good talk.

    i dunno how people can sleep with a c-pap strapped to their face. If you're one of those people who can lay down on your back and be asleep in seconds, maybe it's OK. If like me, it takes a while and you toss and turn, it's going to get really annoying. How do you even roll over when you're hooked up to that thing?

    • @oldironking6375

      Phlegm Atic if you get to the point where you have to choose between cpap and slowly suffocating in your sleep, then it ends up being an easy choice to make
