In today's video I'm sharing how we planned the best trip ever to the Island of Oahu. We had originally planned this trip for the summer of 2020...but had to reschedule. We had the trip of a lifetime. So excited to share our journey in the coming days/weeks.

I did the cruise that went between the main islands. I packed so much in assuming it would be a once in a lifetime trip. Now I can’t wait to go back. I went about two weeks before you did, so it’s been great to relive it through your Instagram and videos here. Thanks for sharing it all, especially Aulani.

@@TheDisneyMamaVlog We went on Norwegian. We went a few days early to Oahu. We stayed in Waikiki, but I have a cousin stationed at Pearl Harbor who drove us around the island, especially the North Shore. It was amazing. We did a luau at Paradise Cove, and I was able to snorkel at Hanauma Bay. The cruise was to Maui, Hilo, Kona, and Kauai. We were overnight in Maui and Kauai, so we rented cars there and drove around. We didn’t do the road to Hana on Maui (because it takes so long and can be dangerous) but saw most of the rest of the island. At Hilo, we didn’t go to the Volcano National Park (my dad has some trouble walking long distances so lava tubes and rock wouldn’t work), but did a great hop on hop off tour of the rest of that area of the Big Island. At Kona (the other side of the Big Island), I went to the Kaloko-Honokohau National Park and then spent time walking around the main town. On Kauai we drove to Waimea Canyon and drove to several beaches and waterfalls. Several people on the cruise did the luau at the Kilohana Plantation the first night we were at Kauai. I did the train ride through the plantation the second day.
I could tell you so much more if you do plan to go on the cruise, but the highlight for me was hiking Haleakala Crater on Maui and doing a helicopter tour over Kauai. I did Safari Helicopters because they are the only one allowed to land in one of the canyons on the island. It was breathtaking. I posted some pictures on instagram…mffallaw. There are several posts. Can’t wait to see the blogs of your trip!
