in an age where state champs claim to be the "kings of the new age" and are subsequently putting out the biggest sleeper album ever, it's good to see neck deep actually releasing objectively good music
I saw them both live a few weeks ago. They both are great. Absolutely no reason to hate either
@@mr.sushi2221 except, objectively, state champs set out to make an album of the summer here, with the release window and everything, they want to be the band of the summer. with that being said, i haven't wanted to go back to this album to listen to it again because there's nothing there to hold any attention. musically it's their most boring and generic outing, and after sad summer is over i can already see fans clamoring for a new album because this is hardly musically good enough to hold your attention for a couple of weeks at most.
New fan here - heard Gold Steps on Kerrang in January and it blew me away. Since then I’ve become obsessed with every album and managed to see them live. I must have been living under a rock but they are now my favourite band and I love this song

Became a fan of Neck Deep when this girl that I went on a date with and I had went to go see them at the Danforth Music Hall last December. Although she cut me off the next day after the concert, I'm glad she introduced me to such an amazing and talented band. I fell in love with their music instantly and this song reminds me of why I love this band so much!
