I’m one of the ND fans that straight up doesn’t understand how people hate anything this band has done from LNOTGY and on. Every song they have penned has been fantastic. TPATP was amazing as well. And this song continues the legacy
Yes the peace and the panic was a further evolution of their sound in all the right ways while still remaining true to what makes them neck deep in my opinion. And that is what I want from a band them to evolve and better themselves as songwriters and musicians.

A lot of their older music was Ben working out his personal issues with his father and just typical life problems for young people he’s stated he’s happy and it’s hard for him to make the same music when he’s not in that same state of mind
Band went downhill after the original lead guitarist left imo that’s why they don’t have that sound anymore

Personally I do miss the the more "punk" side of their music from when they started out. But we get to grow along with them, and with their music, with who they are evolving into. It's cool to see that progression, especially from angst and frustration to now often being more happy or sentimental. Do I wish their music was still more like before? yeah.
But if I had the option, I wouldn't switch it back, since they're in a better mindset, that thought can make me appreciate the more "pop" type songs as well, If that makes any sense.

You gotta keep in mind the whole song is about your other half , that and as a musician you are suppose to play with music you know ?Do something a little different , I mean do y’all listen to just one genre ?If you ever make a beat/pick up an instrument or have ,you’ll understand how fun it can be making something new , something completely different
As for as lyrics go , doesn’t have to be deep all the time , music is and always has been open for interpretation
And I’m speaking from personal experience , as a musician you put in so much work into just one track , that being just the bass, guitar or just drums .Then on top of that writing lyrics then come up with the flow ? Yeah it’s a lot of work .Sometimes when you are in a band people don’t show up , originally I’m the vocalist/songwriter but I’ve been making the drum track because drummer caint show up

Neck Deep never let me down. Hardcore fan since I first saw them live supporting We Are The In Crowd back in February 2014. I never heard of them before I saw that show. Since then I was hooked and the next day bought their debut album and have seen them live 5 times! Love this band!
