Funniest potty humor joke in the comments below!!
While not necessarily a Potty humor joke I still got a kick of that brief scene with the Cockroach and saying _"A New Stove Might be Nice!"_ after Rita’s father banging the table cause the stove to fall into the water.🪳
The Ratmobile joke is golden
hello guys, i'm your fan, i have a movie that i can recommend you and the 2 girls to watch, the movie is called "Wolfman" from 2010, and it's really good, try to see at least the trailer besides the plot, i'm sure which will not disappoint👍👍👍
You can see Han Solo at 16:32 in the fridge background
@@lindaskalbergedstam9745Good eye 👀
I feel like this movie doesn't get the appreciation it deserves. Its really fun, clever and touching all at once. Minus the occasional literal potty humor.
why minus? xdd
I mean theres barley any potty humour all most all of the humour is great
Truly an underrated movie. My 48 year-old dad even loves this movie.
I never realised until I was much older that Kate Winslet voiced Rita. She should really be in more animated films, she's certainly got the knack for it!
The interesting thing is that this film was my introduction to Kate Winslet as an actress, as I wasn’t to familiar her nor did I watched her earlier films prior to this movie.
As a British person, this film is criminally underrated and I love it so muchhh haha
"England is winning, everything is possible!"
Just in case no one brought it up in the comments: If you’re wondering why they went the cgi route with this movie, it’s because while this movie was in production, the Aardman Animation Studio burned to the ground. They lost everything. Every model, every set piece, every prop, GONE.
So they got Dreamwork’s help finishing the movie while they rebuilt.
Also, the team said that they want to try 3D animation.
It actually was in major part due to all the water involved in the film, which is basically impossible to work with in stopmotion.
This was THE movie for me growing up. I can replay the entire movie in my head and I quote this movie daily!
Same lol. The amount of puns and quotes from this are insane
@@james_crawford no wonder it won best writing Annie Award
Huzzah, a man of quality
@@duskthegamer4129 Easy, Tiger!
BRUH SAME 😭😭
It's a shame this movie didn't make much money, I love almost every Aardman movie and production especially after catching up with the rest of their creations
This movie is so underrated. Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, and Ian McKellen give it their all, I love the creativity of how the rat's versionof Londonis built, how clever the Toad's plan is, and the very British humor. Definitely one of Aardman's funniest films.
Really loved how DreamWorks released this and Over the Hedge in the same year, both of which are such underrated films!
This is one of the funniest movies I have seen
While Flushed Away isn't one of the best to come from DreamWorks, it's definitely on the studio's list of underrated gems. The voice acting is just amazing from everyone and is, in my opinion, the highlight of the film.
Fun fact: in Britain there's a specific time in the day where they have to supply extra power to the power grid bc everyone turns on their kettle for a cup of tea around the same time 😅
when I first saw this I thought I would hate it for the way they used computer generated instead of their traditional stop-motion, but I actually found it very charming and funny, must have watched it 100 times
Its just a different medium, the artistic spirit that carries their stop motion shines through regardless
I love the humor in this one. The phone on the mime still cracks me up to this day.
Hugh Jackman is a classically trained singer, so they really put his pipes to good use in this role 😂
And Kelsey Grammer.
Yes he's does
this was one of the movies that me and my brothers would watch on repeat ALL THE TIME as kids. I truly thought this was a well known movie between the general public until i realized almost no one of my friends got my references 😭
This movie is so underrated! This is one of my favorites growing up as a kid and I have definitely known a few references ever since like I’ve seen a few objects from Wallace & Gromit, another one of my favorites as a kid and I still watch those, and right in the beginning where they show the movies on the shelf, I see chicken run, shark tale, Madagascar, spirit, shrek, and Wallace & Gromit the curse of the were rabbit (I paused the film at that part so I can look to see what’s on the shelf from that movie).😅 I don’t know if there’s any other references but that’s all I know and I’ve never heard of claymation imitation before:) 🤔
The humor is very incredible in the Flushed Away movie.
I loved Ian Mckellen and Jean Reno. Ian because he was classically trained and yet his comedic timing was flawless and Jean because he made fun of being French, which he is.
I have not seen this movie in YEARS! It is so underrated yet it’s so fun and enjoyable 😊
There was a little post credits scene you guys missed.
I would suggest to always check for them, not the first time you missed them.
Great reaction anyway, so good to see both of you laughing so much!!
One of my guilty pleasures! It's CRIMINAL this never got a sequel 😢
LITERALLY
but i hold out a little hope now that more people have been watching this movie & liking it that maybe dreamworks & aardman will maybe someday make a sequel because i bet that all these people making reactions to it & all of us watching said reactions would watch it
What a fun, funny, and highly underated film. I was just thinking about you guys reacting to this 🤣 🤣.
I bought "Flushed Away" for my grandkids when it came out on DVD, expecting to hate it. I loved it! I still have the DVD & now watch it with my great-grandkids.
I loved flushed away when I was a kid
so happy to see you having such a good time with this movie, I was laughing along with you, reliving the jokes and seeing how funny you found it made it better. lifted my mood 100% 😄❤️❤️
Why didnt the toilet paper make it across the road?
It got stuck in the crack 😀
I knew Hugh Jackman was in it, but I just realized the wolverine referenced 😂
I absolutely love the claymation art style.
ahead of its time in terms stop motion looking cg before lego movie, right?
Hidden easter egg: there's a rat that looks like
Han Solo from Star Wars in the freezer with Rita and Roddy!
This film should’ve been nominated for the Oscar instead of Happy Feet or Monster House
I am so glad you enjoyed this! I remember watching this in the cinema when it came out and i'm now 22 and still rewatch it a few times every year 🤣 I swear I could quote it all frame by frame and I just think all the comedic notes strike perfectly. The voice acting across the cast is on point, I think i'll always love this film 🤣
"Alright, men, action!"
"We surrender!"
I'm French and even I find that joke hilarious XD
R u french
this is my favorite childhood movie. i watched it so much as a kid.
Even though I much prefer Chicken Run and Wallace & Gromit, this is still a decent film.
If there's one thing this film might do better than all the other Aardman films though is the background world building, all the discarded items that make up the whole sewer world is really inventive. The fish and chip seller having a coathanger hook for a hand, the holder for the ruby in the toads collection is made from a champagne muselet, the jammie dodger being made up of typwriter keys, a trumpet and everything else.
2:17 since hugh jackman voices roddy this was a joke reference to the fact that in an interview when he first started playing wolverine he said the yellow and blue costume was too cheesy or cringy
Love this underrated film
AHHHHHH YES I WAS HOPING YOU GUYS WOULD REACT TO THIS ONE THIS IS A DAMN CHILDHOOD CLASSIC OF MINE
So underrated
I remember thinking this movie was a dream
This was Aardman's first attempt at CG.
It took me 17 years to realize he shot the disk facing him, disk falls forward but the dart is somehow on the back 2:47
I’ve been waiting for this one🫶🏻🫶🏻
Yooo this my movie 😭🔥
10:08 I still say this till today "Bewareee, Bewareee" 😅
this movie is so good I'm glad you guys watched it
Omg nobody ever reacts to flushed away and it was my favorite movie growing uppp!
Some of the best media are the ones that don't take themselves too seriously. Everyone just wants to enjoy themselves in the end
Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Love this movie, don't know how many times I've watched it.
I really really like flushed away, and it made me very happy to see you enjoy it 😊 it's one of my childhood favourites and I love the humour. I didn't pay attention to the animation beforehand and your right, it's pretty good! I also like how the romantic plotline didn't end up in kiss, which is nice and different! Again glad you enjoyed it!❤
This movie is the reason why I love British humor!! ❤😂🇬🇧
23:18 The rat on the left clearly understands that the spoon does not exist.
Great reaction thanks guys!
The reason this movie's in CGI is actually very sad - The studio that made Wallace and Gromit burnt down and they lost their wonderful Creature Comforts characters, Morph and Wallace and Gromit. After that, they had to bring everyone back so to speak.
A few sets actually survived! Some were on tour to promote the Curse of the Were-Rabbit so a handful of older models and sets from the upcoming films were saved :D
Saw them myself in person a few years ago, some were donated to a museum in Bristol and other locations in the UK :)
You must see "The Amazing Maurice". A story by British humorist, Terry Pratchett.
I liked that traditional names e.g. the Jolly Rodger are usually given to Boats but this one is named The Jammie Dodger, which is a famous UK Biscuit (Cookie). Also, I like that her boat is made up of other famous British items. There is a Heinz baked beans can (very classic with a cooked breakfast or on toast) and a Weetabix box that makes up some of the floors (Wheetabix is a famous, cereal brand) The reuse of materials and packaging are used a lot in the film (it gives me The Borrowers vibes!) but I particularly like it on the boat.
U guys just unlocked memories I loved this movie when I was a kid would alway replay it in my kokums living room chilling but when I got older I forgot about this movie forgot the name could never find it and u guys gave me the movie name thanks for that
I love British humor 🤩
I can’t believe you didn’t recognize the voice of Gandalf 🤣
[6:35] *the 'Finding Nemo' reference!* classic DreamWorks, _our bravest soldier!!_ 🫡🫡
I love that when they are put in the Fridge it already gives you Star Wars vibes and then you see a Rat behind them dressed like Han Solo. (He is wearing a white shirt, black vest, gun holster etc)- you see at about 16:32 in the reaction vid. :)
Jet are an Australian band & Hugh Jackman is an Australian actor.
I thought the jets are british
I saw this movie when I was really little with the only thing to remind me that I even watched it were some toys(I think they could have been happy meal toys) of the main characters. I remembered really liking the movie but couldn't remember the name till years ago. And now watching the movie, even chopped up here, I can see why I liked it so much😆
I remember watching this in the movie theater when it first came out. Didn't remember any of the story though, so it was nice to re-watch it!
GREAT CAST!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
This is my first time watching it in English.
And now I finally will understand the puns jokes that got a literal translation in Spanish dub
Wolverine costume was funny as Roddy is Hugh Jackman
One of my favorite movies. Got it from Hollywood Video when they would sell DVD's 5/$20.
At the end there are after credits of the St. James family coming home to Sid, it just adds to the whole movie😂
It just made me sad that Roddy apparently didn't care about them at all or consider them his family.
@@oliviarogers2808 well I see what you mean but I think he generally loves the little girl cause of what he makes Sid promise before flushing himself again, he just knew that after experiencing the world like he did he wouldn't be able to go back to that environment
@@genesisblaise3191 I just don't understand why he needed to make up a family. He could've just told Rita. "Of course I have a family. They travel a lot."
@@oliviarogers2808 Did you see Rita's family? Roddy was envious of it because he's never had that and being a pet is more something to be ashamed of in the sewers hence him lying about it and he's already a bad liar i think he just panicked in the moment
Such a classsicccccccc 😩🤌🏽gosh i love this movie
34:58
36:23
That is how I imagine frogs actually are in the animal world! I LOVE frogs!
Cute movie! British humour is always so funny and clever! 😂
great writing example, right?
@@scoutart1508 yup! 😃
@@tinahastie no wonder it won best writing Annie award in a deserved british way, makes sense?
Now I get the Wolverine joke.
"It's like that stuff in Star Wars!"
Low-key disappointed you two didn't see the Han Solo rat to the right at 16:32 xD
Loved this movie as a kid but my favorite was always Robots! I’d love to see you guy’s react to it!!
I completely forgot about the absolutely hysterical “Action! ‘WE SURRENDER!’“ dig at the French
Aaaawwwww this is my childhood
*"When the cat's away, the mice will play "* 😂😂😂❤
One of the most forgotten Dreamworks movies although not my favorite, that would be Over the Hedge.
I really enjoyed watching Flushed Away with you guys as it’s my third or fourth time watching it😁🔥. This film is so nostalgic as brings back childhood memories. The animation was great and fun, the music and claymation type👍. I loved the storyline and all the British/Australian humor👍👍😆😂. Roddy voiced by my favorite actor Hugh Jackman is such a fun character and so is Rita voiced by Kate Winslet who such an adventurous character and full of life. Other cast members were great as well including Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis, Christopher Knight etc. Loved your reaction/analysis, take care, enjoy life, stay healthy and have a good one❤️
As a Brit, I’m glad you like our humour.
i forgot how great this film was lol
You guys REALLY need to watch Disney’s Iron Will at some point!
I am so glad you did this movie, I had it on dvd growing up and no one had ever heard of it!
Hugh Jackmans Voice acting was Amazing!!!
16:32 If you look on the left you can see a frozen rat dressed as Han Solo.
I like how they mention Roddie being like Spider-Man because I distinctly remember thinking as a kid that the music at 46:16 osundes straight out of Spider-Man TAS. Also he’s Wolverine.
I always quote this movie- it's so good.
"have you seen my dad" nemo parody.
Also the Millicent Bystander joke is hilarious
nobuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
This movie creeped me out so as a kid. Hard to even watch this 😭
There is British TV series done in Claymation called "Creature Comforts" - just like Chicken Run, it ran for 2 or 3 series and is hilarious.
It interviews real people about everyday things but Claymation's the characters.
You can see Han solo at 16:32 in the fridge in the background 😂
Jet, the writers of the song, "Are You Gonna Be My Girl", as Roddy goes down the sewer, are actually Australian.
I had forgotten how good this movie is! Loved your reactions! Have you considered doing a reaction to Disney's Pinocchio 1940? It is said to be Disney's darkest film.
i do believe the animation had a take on what Aardman used as clay but in a cgi effect to keep that effect with the studio ,me personally not bad movie and funny all the way through , i believe there was a lot of top films released at that time , to compete with such as Castino Royal james bond , snakes on a plane Borat, , superman returns and Happy feet so there was many to compete with they should have released it early 2007
one bit I loved is the cockroach reading Kafka's "Metamorphosis"
I LOVE BRITISH HUMOR IMAGINE IF I WAS BRITISH I WOULD LOVE IT UGHHHHHH HOW MUCH I LOVE THE HECK OUT OF ENGLAND
flushed away is literally one of my favorite movies
I had this dvd as a kid, and one of the extras they included was them explaining how to sculpt the slugs! Surprised to learn this WASNT stop motion honestly, but I wonder if those references are why the animation emulates it so well
They love thoose nut crushers jokes in this movie
Fun fact: even though this failed to win British academy award, this WON a variety of Annie awards, including Best writing, animated fx, character animation , and voice acting (for Ian McKellen), AND it is safe to say that this was ahead of its time before the lego movie in terms of stop motion looking cgi, makes sense?
I had a pet mouse when this movie came out, so I wore out the DVD and got a couple of Happy Meal toys from McDonald's. Roddy (as a watch) and Rita (as a compass)!
Like Roddy, I'm an only child too, so I related HARD to his isolation from any REAL social interaction, especially with siblings, only to find that siblings can be really annoying at times, like Sid.
My mother's great-grandmother was of British descent, so I understood a bunch of the humor.
I would like a word with whoever did the subtitles.
When the ruby is put in its display and the light and music are turned on, thr subtitles identify the melody as "Land of Hope and Glory" when the melody is obviously "Rule, Britannia!"
My only question is: was the error an honest goof-up, or did someone seek to avoid some of the controversy around "Rule, Britannia!" by intentionally mis-naming the melody? I can see either one happening.
At 2:06 you can see one of the outfits he grabs from the closet is Wallace's.
Anothe character from Aardman. Really nice detail.
I used to love this Thanks for making this brings me Back that British VIBES 😂
Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) plays Roddy
Alfred (Andy Serkis) plays Spike
Gandalf (Ian McKellen) plays The Toad
