Awww crap!! I cannot unsee what i just saw. You just solved my garage lighting shortfall and cheap!!!! WELL!! I have a project to do but must paint the ceiling white first. Walls stay gray. GREAT JOB! Love the breakdown and ATTENTION TO DETAILS!! The little things always make the biggest difference.
That's amazing!! Love that you are doing everything correctly and not cutting any corners by having wires hanging going to an outlet or anything. Great job!
I found this series because I'm planning my own dream garage build on a house I want to buy this year. You've done a lot of what I want to do so it's awesome to see it all come together, and you've done a great job. One thing I plan to do that you may consider is a sound system with roof speakers. There are plenty of bluetooth receivers online that would allow you to power speakers in the ceiling (whether they're made to be ceiling speakers or just car audio speakers) and an active subwoofer so you'd have even sound throughout the garage. You could hide the amp in one of the cabinets and run the wiring through the attic like the lights and it would be super clean. Can't wait to see what's next!
Watched all the garage build and I love it man! Hoping maybe later you can make a review of how you are liking/disliking the garage epoxy. It’s way better to get the review from someone like you that’s actually working on their cars.
16:20 It's nice seeing that you keep it real and don't cut out parts like this when things weren't perfect. Being real and showing mistakes and that you're not perfect gets you more subscribers.
I’m giddy watching this. I literally have all my LED’s in my garage awaiting the install. I had the exact same idea for my setup (perimeter + runners). Tell me about your cabinets?
thanks again for your dedication and amazing content. got the latest version of these, and they are great -- super bright, easy to install, 5k is a nice pure white. however, one caveat: i discovered they conflict with chamberlain wireless remotes. when the lights are on, the keypad and car fobs won't work. still happy, and might not be an issue with other openers, but something to consider for anyone shopping for lighting.
Wow that came out great! I really appreciate your attention to detail and how clean the setup is. Not many people understand execution like this. Great job!
To make the 2 footer lights the same you could have chopped up a bunch of "4" footers and swapped internals. Mind you that is not cost effective and a ton of work, but that's how I would do it if I was worried but, not sure I am nor have that kind of time... lol. Very cool series, thanks for sharing!
Your video was so up lifting in so many ways it was great to hear about your new son and I can clearly see it makes you very happy us utuers as well ! And the lights look awesome great job installing them you paid a lot attention to safety and detail for a clean look. Hope you and your family are doing well. Stay healthy and safe looking forward to the next video they help take minds off of what's going on even if only for a little bit!
I have been considering different lengths on a diagonal (short in the corners then increasing in length, end to end, towards the center of the garage) Some of these are available in 4, 5, 6 and 8 foot.
drywall cracks are normal as you've said (small settling cracks) but definitely suck. if you have them develop again elsewhere, try cutting a small notch along the crack, filling it (as smoothly as you can) with gorilla glue (stays flexible), then once it's dried overnight a small skim of mud/paint. seems to work well.
Now it would be awesome if you converted your garage door opener to a wall mounted garage door opener to save on all the ceiling space. 😉 Oh, and add a mini split to the garage to get some AC.
Im looking at the same thing for my garage... Is there not a limit to how many you can link up to one circuit? Im being told by the providers there is like 200Ws or 600Ws per circuit :s... what do you think?
Instead of breaking out the soldering iron to extend the wire why couldn't you have just cut one of the ends off the longer cords that were supplied with them?
That is a great looking garage. Huge change from the beginning. I'm a little jelly! Haha. Nice job Chad, cant wait to see what is next. And congrats on the newest LSH member!
when you hardwired the lights through the ceiling drywall, did you just use several junction boxes when splicing the existent wires to the original lights? How many lights are connected at once before running out of wattage.
@@LonestarHawaiian thanks, wanted to do this hexagon pattern using the same slim LEDs. What do you think is the easiest way to do it? mount the lights and pass wires through the drywall, then in the attic just use several junction boxes and additional wires to link to existing circuit for lights?
Great Job Bro! I have the same lights and setup in my garage and love it. I would like to recommend adding the Chamberlin jack screw type garage door opener to clean up the ceiling even more. Again, great job on the whole garage build!
Sick man! I want to do this to my garage to illuminate my RC F, but sadly I do not have accessible attic space over my garage, which makes DIY wiring exceedingly difficult. Stuck with the lights you had as your "morning lights" for now.
Great vid!!! Might want to take the plates off your vehicles before filming. Don't want any Stan's popping by trying to share their aloha vibe. And congrats on the baby boy.
Wow that’s awesome! it’s amazing the difference a few or in your case a few dozen lol, lights can do! I could definitely benefit from a serious lighting upgrade in my shop. I was thinking about adding a few and doing a little remodeling in the spring but now Im thinking as long as I can find everything I need at Home Depot tomorrow I might as well just get it done now while I’m stuck home for three weeks, should be able to make some serious progress considering lol.. Oh and congratulations dude!🎉
Chad I'm going to follow your lead on installing lighting in my garage... any lessons learned from the install? Did you have to do calculations of how many row of lights you can connect to one switch...
Everything went as planned for once. Only recommendation would be to draw everything our beforehand (especially your wiring) before you begin. Good luck!
Lights look awesome, great video! Curious if you'd change anything about layout/set-up after having them for 2 years? Also how are the lights holding up?
Lights are beginning to burn out after ~2years. Color temperature (6500k) looks great for videos but begins to hurt your eyes after a few hours. 5000k may have been better.
@@LonestarHawaiianDid you ever find an alternate/ replacement light with a similar form/function? After seeing your video, I installed 50 of these in my 900 ft² garage. I had the same experience, one by one. They start burning out, and about 47 of the 50 are now dead or flickering. All of the similar products on amazon under different brand names appear to be the same exact light with same hardware/ cables etc, and most of the reviews mentioned a similar failure after 1 to 2 years of use. Wondering if you ever found a suitable replacement that was linkable for garage strip lighting like this, but better longevity. Thanks!
Wow that’s awesome I’ve always wanted some lighting like that in my garage!!! I’m really looking forward to see what type of mods your gonna put on that charger bro !
Dr. Chad to the Operating Room.
Barrina T5 and T8 Lights are without a doubt my favorite! Best bang for your buck shop lights without a doubt! I now have 60,000 Lumens in my garage!

You have truly built a dream garage any car fan would be proud of. Congratulations Mr. Lonestar
Jordan Clayton mahalo!

Got my sub within 2 minutes of watching the first video I have seen from the channel. Can't wait

Congratulations on new baby boy
Tony Brown thank you!
The lights are cool..
This has to be the most dramatic video on garage lights I've ever seen😄
Eye liner?? For a garage video??....dude...😆

Shifted Perspective appreciate it!
As soon as he said "Its gonna be epic"... I bailed.

Sweet!
Does your garage door opener still work? I had these and it wouldn’t, let opener work
You are the mad scientist!!!
I used the same ones in my shop/garage. Excellent lights for the money.
Have a link to where you bought?

how did you conceal the wires? you mentioned its rather seamless- did you run them into attic? can you try to elaborate, please- thanks!
I’m surprised you don’t have the side mounted liftmasters!! Clears out the headspace for a cleaner look.
Now it would be awesome if you converted your garage door opener to a wall mounted garage door opener to save on all the ceiling space. 😉

When you back the vehicles out and have the square dance it's going to be a hoot! Haha! Love it!
was your perimeter all in series or split up to the max recommended group quantity ?
I split them up to the recommended group quantity. (maybe +1 vs recommended max)
Looks really good bro. Congrats on your DREAM GARAGE!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Appreciate it!!

Nice electrical work!
Do you have a mic Rodge this past weekend I’m going to have a total of 16 of the 4 foot strip lights I have about me 400 square-foot garage
Hi, nice result! What size is your garage? Thanks!
Lights look sweet! Congratulations on the new addition!!

Yes, and 8 lights (per the instructions) can be linked together

example design in above link
Should put one of those color changing led kits they sell for the back of the tv in behind the tv.
Looks sick 🔥🔥🔥🙌💯
How many lights in total are on that one switch?
Congrats on the new born and on the garage light set up 💯😀
It turned out nice, what is the total wattage of this?
Congratulations for your new addition! The lights look great too!
Oahu military in the building great video man 💪🏾💯💯🔥
Did you have any issue seems you installed this?
I’m setting up a barbershop in a basement. Do you think these LED’s would be suitable ?
Any problems with garage door remote not working with lights on? If so any fixes?
Looks great! Have you noticed any issues with inference after installing? Like garage door opener or radio not working?
I have and experiencing interference when lights are on. But they supper bright!

What was the total cost for all the lighting?
Let there be Light
Thanks for sharing
Great Job!!!
Now you need to add some Neon. Chevrolet neon clock and some garage art.
How many amps are drawn with all lights on?

Looks awesome man great design and clean look as always
Clint Nester 👌🏽
Where did you get the black toolbox/cabinets ?
Home Depot (.com)
Great job! Just need a beer fridge.
AAUURRIITTTTEEE!!!! Lookin good brah, congrats on the new addition 👶🏻
Barrina says you can only link up to 6 of these lights together. I see in this video you have way more than that. How is this done? Thanks
how much did your lighting bill go up?
Thanks for the video, man!
May I ask, how many lights can you link together in 1 socket? Thanks!
Great vid!!! Might want to take the plates off your vehicles before filming. Don't want any Stan's popping by trying to share their aloha vibe. And congrats on the baby boy.
For those wondering, the song featured was "Howling At The Moon", by D Fine Us.
Nice video man!! It looks fantastic. What cabinets do you have? I’m referring to the gray ones that you added the under lighting to. Thanks

I THINK YOU NEED ANOTHER LIGHT BEHIND THE T.V. FOR THE CORNER..IT LOOKS A LITTLE BIT DARK UNDER THE T.V.

Now, you can get some nice cars to fill your garage. Put a Rosso Corsa color Ferrari in there.
What color temp are those lights?
Nice
Congratulations to you and your family for the new edition!
I don't know why the camera never does these lights any justice. Great video though, the garage series has come a long way.
Also, GREAT JOB with the lights!
Looks really great, nice job on everything.
These are all in series off of one circuit? Barrina does not recommend putting more than 24' of lights in series.
congrats on the champ, awesome lights.
How come you didn’t show how you attached the lights to the ceiling?
Congrats on your son. and great job on the lights. question, are all your lights connected in one series?
Aloha bradah tank u foh sharing. 🤙
Updates after 4 years? A LOT of people in the reviews say they die after about a year. On the fence about buying
Siq and stay safe and healthy my friend. Keep Ohana safe
Wow that’s awesome I’ve always wanted some lighting like that in my garage!!! I’m really looking forward to see what type of mods your gonna put on that charger bro !
Amazon has the 2 footers, Merry Christmas to you and yours
I have the same lighting in my garage same brand
You're lucky your attic is right above the garage. Sadly, I don't have that luxury.
Swiss Trax for the floor win….
Great 👍🏽 Vid. Thanks.
My dad just put those in his garage and barn but he put in 8 footers
Looks sweet
You will always have great support 🤙🏾
Great transformation of you garage. That a shop that I'd love to have myself. Did you get enough followers so you could get power tools?
Are your lights getting hot
damn bro the ending result looks so satisfying. Nice job
Great job it looks amazing , i wish i could have a man cave garage :(
You should have walked out into the dark and show how bright the garage is from the far.....
