There usually isn’t a white in watercolour palettes…I will sometimes put a pan of white gouache in a curated palette as it’s more opaque - which I’ve seen other people do as well. Thank you for showing us this beautiful background!
Thank you for the video. The Youlan line has more colors than the 24 in the set, thats why they're more swatches in the little booklet. You can buy a 36 color tube set for example as well.
As a watercolor artist I really appreciate they didn't include a white. That's so common nowadays but normally you don't use white in watercolor, as you lighten up the color with adding water. Most watercolor artists would definitely see that one as a big plus.

Hi Karen these are just beautiful paints I have a few artist grade water colour paints as I’m learning to water colour paint to help me.. what I do is I sticky tape the wrapper to my swatch book for reference.. thanks for sharing ❤❤❤😊😊😊xxx

What a beautiful background you created. Since trying the artist grade paints, do you see yourself doing more watercolor backgrounds vs. Neocolor?
I love colouring watercolor backgrounds, especially in my hard back books so there will definitely be more coming 🤗

You could use washi tape on the back side edge.

hi Karen, how long does the masking fluid take to dry? do you leave it overnight or does it become impossible to rub off? love the effect on the page and look forward to seeing completed page

Beautiful background 😊. What do you think is better for prepping your paper? The Gesso you showed or the satin glaze?
Honestly I try to colour in books where I can get away without using either haha but when I do use them I personally prefer the satin glazing liquid 🤍
