The first time I landed the S2, was about 5 circuits until I had the numbers right. I landed the 8kcab 60-70 times but the Pitts was fast as hell. Just the thought of bringing in this girl was the epitome of my flying experience. Should have seen my face!.

She is basically a competent pilot, which means landing a Pitts is not going to be difficult, and she commented that it was not as graceful as she hoped. Let her fly from the back seat and she would do even better. believe it or not, view from the back is better in an S2. 8KCAB is probably one of the easiest T/W aircraft to land, and yet conversion from it to the Pitts can be pretty quick if you fly the Decathlon reasonably well. If you find the Pitts challenging, then I respectfully suggest tidying up your technique. The good thing about the Pitts - it does exactly what you tell it. For pilots lacking technique, that's also the bad thing about the Pitts.
