I am so glad to have found this. This wonderful disease came into my life in January 2019. I am happy to say, I can walk and I have a wonderful doctor. God bless who have this and maybe can't do all the things they did before.

Diagnosed 2019. NMOSD ended my career, and left me with 50% of my prior strength, and debilitating fatigue. I was 52 when diagnosed and not ready to stop doing everything I loved. Miserable disease!

@@Albanian_traveller how is he doing? I have this and that is why I am asking. I don't know how it effects men, it killed my sex drive. I can no longer go swimming like before. Meaning, an indoor pool, I wear a wet suit. From waist down, my body just do feel the same. It's hard for me to get into a swimming pool if it isn't as warm as bath water.
I take lots of meds now, lots of vitamins , watch the foods I eat due to the inflammation they can and do cause. I now receive 2 infusions a year. Find you a great / neurologist and also a support group/ system. I don't know what all he is dealing with, but I find myself really depressed and I think mostly frustrated with it at times. I also deal with Fibromyalgia , DDD ( spinal issues ) and that makes it hard for them to make me pain free , I'm not. I live with chronic pain. I hope he has good doctors.
