  • This basic trigonometry video tutorial provides an introduction into trigonometric ratios as it relates to a course in geometry. It explains how to calculate the sin, cos, and tan ratio of a right triangle given the 3 sides. You can use the pythagorean theorem to find the value of the missing side. In addition, it explains how to evaluate trigonometric functions using right triangle trigonometry and special right triangles such as the 30 60 90 triangle or the 45 45 90 triangle. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems including find missing angles as well as missing sides.

    It would be appropriate and less confusing if the formula was B^2(X^2) = square root of C^2(52^2) - A^2(20^2) instead, as you are finding Height after all, which is equals to the square root of Hypotenuse^2 minus Base^2. I think this is something a teacher would ask you about. Why use a formula for Hyp^2 when it'd be rational to use the height formula? Just saying.

    wait so at the start of the video where u said sin theta equals opp/hyp therefore it’s 15/17, but how do u know that theta is angle A? it could be C, no?

    • @asmakazim117
      @asmakazim117 3 месяца назад

      Theta is representing a variable and as far as i could understand...
      Sin A means "angle at A". So opposite of angle "A" is 15 and hypotenuse is 17 as it's the longest side of the triangle.
      Basically, for example
      Sin A means the angle at "A"
      And Sin B means angle at 'B"
      Hope it helps
