One of my all time favorite moments in the film, and you extend the passion out three full minutes with superb scene selections, and scene/fading.. I agree with you about crediting the artists, as I purchased the Michael Mann film production DVD, as well the original soundtrack by Trevor Jones & Randy Edelmann. And I know what I will be re-viewing tonite, once again... Thanks for sharing your labors of love.
i remember watching this as a small kid and asking my older cousin who’d seen it if there was anything i might get in trouble for watching, since it’s rated R. i still remember him hesitating a beat before saying “well, there’s a kiss...” i was like wtf, you needed to mention a kiss, you prude? then i saw the scene in question. whew. to this day i don’t... quite... believe they were just kissing.

When one realizes that the main characters were barely 20 somethings, it makes what they go thru even more heart wrenching. Today's "kids" have no idea what real strength and survival means ❤
This reminds me of the stunning love that Jesus has for His Bride and the Epic Battle He waged to have her. He will come again and take us to be with Him . He will be a Beloved Husband to her.
Daniel Day Lewis and Madeleine Stowe were brilliant in this film. This is one of my favorite love scenes of all time!
