Interview Pison Kukundakwe (NL ondertitels)

Pison Kukundakwe, quality officer at Ugandan coffee cooperative ACPCU, participated in the fair trade breakfast at the Belgian parliament on May 12th 2022. He talked about the impact of climate change on coffee production, the measures ACPCU is taking to protect the environment and the European law on imported deforestation.
"We need to protect the environment, that's the main thing. But we have to be careful that the legislation is relevant and realistic for the producers. It must not build up the cost of production, otherwise the farmer has nothing to gain".
