How is it an ass pull to have a re-Volund into a sword when we’ve seen re-volund before and we knew that there was a sword form of Chi-you? Wasn’t it initially speculated by the community that his volund would have multiple forms when it was first revealed that there’s multiple points for his style? Why are pretending this wasn’t set up before being used?
We’ve seen re-volund with hrist. Which set up that she had 2 personalities. So 2 different volunds. Yes we knew there was a sword form. But people are forgetting the fact that Chi you is martial arts. None the other forms involved weapons. Like the halberd or spear. Not saying it’s a complete Ass pull but in gonna sit and say it was setup. He kinda just volunds again not a big deal though.
this was an incredible winning strategy by qin if we think about it. Qin realized that he couldn't defeat hades by one martial art form, so he used a strategy that utilizes a three-hit kill combo: armor technique to neutralize his opponents attack for a moment, sword technique to disable his support, and spear technique to break his defense therefore leaving himself vulnerable.
I know im late, but it was hinted from almost the start of the fight that Huang would get a sword. That 5 point star that showed up behind him the 1st few times he used the heavenly defense had a different fighting weapon at each point of the star. Armor, bow, spear, sword, halberd

TBH, my favourite fight was Jack Vs Hercules. Still mystified as to why Hercules was fighting for the Gods. Doesn't fit with the legends or that of this particular Hercules, they should've used Gilgamesh (invincible Sumerian king, born of living Gods (Demi while alive, full Gods after death)).
As a Huang fan here’s how I would rank the humans in terms of power (Buddha doesn’t count his a god Adam scales to his opponent so it’s weird to rank him) 1. Prep time Kojiro 2. Lu Bu 3. Qin shi huang (Interchangeable honestly) 4. No prep time kojiro 5. Raiden 5. Jack Ze Ripper Honourable mention: Nikola (not enough data currently) The reason I placed Raiden so low was bc I was basing this off of no volund Volund massively buffs raiden by giving him perfect control over his muscles
I generally think, Record of Ragnarok often isn't as clever or as cunning as it likes to think it is as, broadly speaking, it is a series of 1v1 fights with a lot of handwavium as to what is or isn't possible as a divine weapon. It doesn't benefit from extended character arcs, as once the character has fought once, they are unlikely to be revisited again without a major change in the status quo. So yeah, by its very premise, it is limited to what they can do, as even Jack's antics wouldn't have been possible without Hercules expressly agreeing to it. Its main strength, however, is telling a long story about a character in a condensed period. The battle is arguably their greatest triumph or tragedy and explains everything leading up to that point. As a series of short stories featuring characters in history? It's solid. Haung is a man who is incredibly resourceful and determined and shows that, despite being completely overpowered by Hades using his life force, he could also directly target that life force to completely overwhelm Hades for a second. Makes sense, it was a moment being built up throughout the fight by targeting Hade's ki points, thus when he invested his lifeforce into his weapon there was a path available that only Huang could follow. What I really want to see at some point is, one way or another, for a God or Human to get completely crushed. At the moment, the series has stuck to it's formula thus far without any major upsets.
There will definitely be upsets as the end of Ragnarok nears and things get more desperate. Fights are already getting progressively crazier. The Tesla/Belzeebub fight is such a fight. Buddha changing sides. And Siegfried will probably enter the roster.
I really am curious about some of the future fights, Odin's fight is definitely going to be crazy , while at the same time rasputin , Nostradamus, simo hayha and okita are what jm also excited for
Qin likely won against hades and he could deflect the energy of attack, and also had a huge brain. While hades couldn’t deflect attacks energy back at the opponent and best stat is strength, which Qin could easily deflect back with one shot. Edit: If you don’t understand how Qin made ares fly is because when ares hit Qin, Qin deflected the attack back, making Ares fly
If I'm being completely honest... I somehow feel that god of highschool is more believable then this, with it's depiction of deities. Their arrival left the entire world in ruins. The people of that world had borrowed power from several different mythologies and folklore such as jack ripper, Hercules, thor, etc... I'm just saying that God of highschool is more believable then this. This epic, but major asspulls like this leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
@@ultrastormvalentine5483 I don't think it's "asspull" but how else would you be able to make humanity win against the gods? Zeus didn't use any lightning powers, Poseidon didn't control the water at all, and Hades claps an army of giants in his backstory but has a weak power up. (Even tho it's a dope concept and it looked cool af)
To be fair, Poseidon thought that a human - _any_ human - was unworthy of his true power, and Zeus' whole lightning theme was portrayed more metaphorically (being as fast as lightning and such), but I getcha.
Ikr, I can get behind Poseidon losing because of his arrogance but, Zues has to win even without his Divine weapon and to add to that he got transformation and time stop punch and shizz. IMO they did Hades dirty. His power is to buff his weapon which still got destroyed which is lame.
@@thomasthecoolkid7228 none of the God's have really used too much magic anyway, it's mainly straight up skill combined with some supernatural aspects in this manga
IMO they also kind of do Ares dirty by portraying the God of War as some relatively weak Jock. Though I'm taking this manga as second degree so that's fine. And also, the Greeks themselves did not like Ares very much and he was constantly humbled by the other Gods in Greek mythos. One major very powerful Greek God that we haven't seen in the manga is Apollo, who is one of the most important Gods in the pantheon and the most worshipped one along with Athena (also missing).

Best fight so far for me, both characters have lovable personalities, both are really good looking characters, both aren't about talking stupid unnecessary things and both respect eachother the more the fight went on. I can see why half or so of people wanted Hades to win but humanity is obviously the choice, couple of good gods aren't enough to overweigh the amount of ego gods the show has.
For me, it can be anyone to win. As long as the story is balanced, and give them both equally screen times, dialogs, and longer fight scenes. Which sadly, is not the case for the 7th round. They can just make the fight longer after that last clash and do everything as good as Round 5. have all the backup character cheer for them, Qin has already had enough, so just have Chun Yan cheering on top of her lungs for Qin to notice it, and give him the will to fight, and that's good enough. Have Hades look at his his bident remind him of Poseidon, Have a one page flashback of his shock reaction about the news of Poseidon's death. Have Zeus and Adamas do the " Don't you dare lose, You are our big brother. " dialog. And make up a new powerful move or use Poseidon's move in respect of Poseidon. And this fight will be perfect
Idek the second I saw Qin’s Design I instantly wanted him to win and him so badly but I do agree with keeping the outcome the same I wish Hades had more unique attacks because it felt like a similar Poseidon which I understand that’s why he’s fighting but I still feel like he could’ve had a more unique style
Meh. I think if you consider Qin's pitiful background, his ability to take on the pain of others, and as such his technique is wholly defensive.. then "the best defense is a strong offense" transition to a sword makes since as it still implies a defensive posturing in-line with the character. However I think it could have been illustrated differently to show the armour transform to cover less of his body.
To be perfectly fair, qin looking hades dead in the eyes before killing him should've killed him as well The man literally took all of hades attacks and his own attacks as well so double the damage and just survived due to sheer will (which is a very lazy way to win a fight by playing the "well guess he had more will in him!" card)
I mean, bro was legitimately about to collapse but he stabbed the sword into the ground to stabilize himself. He has an insanely high pain tolerance like pretty much everyone we’ve seen fight. Lu Bu didn’t show any signs of pain after losing his arms, Adam literally fights even after death, Zeus just shrugged off his head turning 180 degrees, Jack impaled himself on purpose, then ripped the damn thing out, not to mention taking the hit straight to the face by the god who put Ares on the back burner so much Zeus came to save him, Sasaki was impaled by Poseidon’s trident, who also lost both his arms, shiva lost three arms brutally, Raiden endured his muscles erupting and contorting until Thrud shaped him up again, Buddha, after losing an eye, being pierced several times by Hajun’s arm-blades, was still able to stroke a victory pose and walk off the arena by himself before getting treatment.
I personally think that is going to come down to 6 to 6 on both sides and come down to the last two fighters, so we can see all 13 on both sides and I think the gods are going to win that final match but end up deciding to let humanity live after being impressed by humanity's resolve, strength and potential
I feel like the Valkyrie turn to do a sword and that’s just fine because he’s able to use a sword I think all of them might have disability it’s just why would they use it it’s not like Lu Bu also uses a different type of weapon know he’s best at using that specific weapon the thing that was strange was that The swordsman guy turned his one Valkyrie into two swords edit I also think with Rasputin versus Anubis that one’s going to be a draw as Rasputin will make the fight last something like a day so they’ll go like this is taking too long fight over no one wins
tbh i honestly wanted Hades to win the fight hes s intresting to all of the other gods and i liked him more than probably anyone in the series excpt for buddha he was so cool

@Choir of Bababooeys Well, then Quins Volund is just stronger in nature. Not all Volunds are the same in strength.
@@choirofbababooeys6861 no it wasn’t. That Valkyrie (Hrist) had the ability to use her two personalities at once, not to reforge.
this was an incredible winning strategy by qin if we think about it. Qin realized that he couldn't defeat hades by one martial art form, so he used a strategy that utilizes a three-hit kill combo: armor technique to neutralize his opponents attack for a moment, sword technique to disable his support, and spear technique to break his defense therefore leaving himself vulnerable.
Hitting Desmos with the air bullet is quite unexpected in the first read and that killed hades off..
Zeus: Apollo get in there in win one for us (kick him like a football in the ring)
Apollo is one of the most powerful Greek Gods besides Hades, I think he will be brought in and kill a human.
So glad scrolling through RUclips and taht was just in the thumbnail was very exited for this fught
I know im late, but it was hinted from almost the start of the fight that Huang would get a sword. That 5 point star that showed up behind him the 1st few times he used the heavenly defense had a different fighting weapon at each point of the star. Armor, bow, spear, sword, halberd
They did hades way too dirty
Lol Poseidon got done worse......He literally didn't even have any special moves.....
And he's the God of the seas.....
And they were surrounded by water......
Fax. I love RoR but I always thought Poseidon and Zeus could've done more with their elemental abilities. They did the Greek bros dirty.
As a Huang fan here’s how I would rank the humans in terms of power
(Buddha doesn’t count his a god
Adam scales to his opponent so it’s weird to rank him)
1. Prep time Kojiro
2. Lu Bu
3. Qin shi huang
(Interchangeable honestly)
4. No prep time kojiro
5. Raiden
5. Jack Ze Ripper
Honourable mention: Nikola (not enough data currently)
The reason I placed Raiden so low was bc I was basing this off of no volund
Volund massively buffs raiden by giving him perfect control over his muscles
Hades was really done dirty
Team Qin all the way. 10/10
Qin the chad emperor
Favorite fight at the moment
The Fight was 5/10. Completely one sided and Hades wasnt even the focus of his own backstory.
Thanks for the spoiler in the title really appreciate it 😀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
No problem 👍
He just defeated the God of underworld
i have a feeling that one of the fight will be a 2v2 i dont know who will take part but if i had to guess it would be tesla&simo vs apollo&susano'o
Interesting theory
I really am curious about some of the future fights, Odin's fight is definitely going to be crazy , while at the same time rasputin , Nostradamus, simo hayha and okita are what jm also excited for
this is probably the only fight where both human and god contender are chad as hell.
wtf you talking about "only"
Lu Bu vs Thor
Raiden vs Shiva
15/10 2nd best fight of the whole manga🐐
I guess we’ll have to wait and see
Qin likely won against hades and he could deflect the energy of attack, and also had a huge brain.
Of course the gods have to be weaker than they are in mythology or else it wouldn't even be an entertaining series. I think the way they justify humanity standing up to the gods is cool with Valkyries lending them their power.
hades should of won
I like how they got the first emperor of China Qin Shi Huang looking like hes from a rock boy band lol
i wanted qin to win because it was too obv for hades to win
Nah its actually obv that Qin is going to win because of the Odin and Beelzebub panel and Odin plan
@@danshido3536 that was a mistranslation
beelzebub said hades will win
@@Shicomogs I'm not talking about that spoiler moment. I'm talking when Odin confront Beelzebub and then Beelzebub was like intrigued. We basically know that Hades and the Greek gods are gonna lose.

@@danshido3536
Hades is stronger is basically every way
My second favourite fight personally
This fight was crazy ima give it a 9
Really good fight but yeah I think it should've been the first draw. But ngl the Greek Brothers have been pretty underwhelming.
His power is to buff his weapon which still got destroyed which is lame.
bruh did you literally forget about his entrance to the arena
Aries is still the strongest
Adam:am I a joke to u🗿

I knew it Qin Shi Huang will have the Volund Goujian Sword to Defeat Heades.
He used niko style demons bane
I can’t wait to see the next fight. Maybe it will be a sniper vs a sniper fight.
Ok but like the fact hades beat all the titans in Tartarus compared to qin beating 1 demon? Like those were all the big bads besides chronos he took em down single handedly not saying he shouldave won but it really made it seem like that was gonna be the outcome in my opin
About Qin Shi Huang:his real name is Ying Zheng.
We knew from the beginning a sword was a mode for Qin so idk where the bullshit line is from
Because I am love Hedes I think this should of been a draw
This should have had 2 different endings
Best fight so far for me, both characters have lovable personalities, both are really good looking characters, both aren't about talking stupid unnecessary things and both respect eachother the more the fight went on. I can see why half or so of people wanted Hades to win but humanity is obviously the choice, couple of good gods aren't enough to overweigh the amount of ego gods the show has.
10/10 the fight was amazing. I don't care about the whole "sword out of nowhere" it was badass.
He actually shot his air bubble at Hades spear because Hades blood brought his divine weapon to life so it worked on the weapon
Qin won mostly because of his hax and tbh the author went all out for Qin but Hades got no shine whatsoever
The lord of the underworld Hades vs the Black Knight Guts!
Battle of the gigachads
we have a 3rd fight where the fight was won on humans side via a sword being suddenly summoned
Offense being called the best defense is literally said in basketball all the time
I’m still can’t believe it
To be perfectly fair, qin looking hades dead in the eyes before killing him should've killed him as well
The man literally took all of hades attacks and his own attacks as well so double the damage and just survived due to sheer will (which is a very lazy way to win a fight by playing the "well guess he had more will in him!" card)
Notice how all the Greek gods are dying, but none of the Norse. Odin is up to something
Loki vs Nostradamus sounds crazy but i'll pay money for it.
I personally think that is going to come down to 6 to 6 on both sides and come down to the last two fighters, so we can see all 13 on both sides and I think the gods are going to win that final match but end up deciding to let humanity live after being impressed by humanity's resolve, strength and potential
Spoiler title thanks man

7 matches gods lost 4 and 3 are greek gods?
Since Persephone didn't appear obviously hades would lose
Jokes aside this probably my second-third favorite
I wonder what Persephone would look like in this manga. But then again, we haven’t seen Hera either. I think only Shiva’s wives were shown.
Persephone is locked in Hell according to Mythos lol.
It’s just crazy all three brothers who are kings loss. Not trying to be that person but broooooo.
Didn’t Lu Bu lose his arms when his weapon was broken?
