I rarely comment, but I feel compelled to do so in light of what will be occurring very soon in the life of my precious foster “child” 🐘. I’m looking forward to Princess K’s transition to the homestead, but I’m sad that she won’t be pampered like a baby anymore.😢 She won’t have her special treat of sweet potatoes every night or be able to play soccer with Adine and her carer and sheepy friends Lammie and Nungu. She’s so used to having a soft bed of teff to lay on and will instead have a sand mound or the hard ground. There will be no heat lamps for warmth on a cold night, but I pray that the body heat of another ellie will suffice to keep her warm enough. Most importantly she won’t have a carer by her side watching her diligently while she sleeps to ensure that she isn’t feeling sick or having any nighttime problems whatsoever. Please I urge you, Adine, to really consider placing Meisiekind in the pen with Tokwe and Timisa because even though Lundi is her adoptive mother, I worry that Khanyisa may possibly be injured if Mambo decides to be naughty and Jabulani has to discipline him. Also since she is a young female, Mambo might try to get frisky and mount her or engage in other bothersome behavior. I don’t believe Mambo or Jabulani would injure her on purpose, but she may get hurt if they decide to spar and accidentally step on her. Also with her albino blue eyes, we truly don’t know how well she can see at night. The homestead seems darker than the orphanage, and she may not maneuver safely if Mambo is trying to play roughly with her. As you can see, I have MANY worries and concerns about this transition and could probably write a book about them. I know, Adine, that you will make the most prudent decision and will spend many nights carefully watching in the dim homestead light how Miss Pinkylicious adjusts to the new bedtime routine. It also is a comfort knowing that the home of the carers is but a few yards/meters away and they can respond quickly if they hear a disturbance occurring outside with the ellies. I adore you all ♥️, and I’m waiting with bated breath to see how Khanyisa acclimates to this life-altering milestone‼️
Debra, she will be fine with the other Elephants. She is old enough that she should be able to deal with the cool nights, although I believe summer is coming in over there right now. Newborn babies out in the wild have no blankets to wear and they sleep on the ground. I'm sure she is getting pretty big to stay in the nursery much longer. I'm pretty positive Adine won't do anything to cause a problem with K, as she is Adine's baby.
I just how we feel like we are there being part of the fun! It’s just amazing to watch elephants doing anything! So magnificent and majestic! Thanks for another great video! Do u know what the final score was? lol! ❤
Is baby Khanysia somewhat restless, or is it my imagination? Why do I get the feeling that Khanysia is aware of her impending move to the homestead? I hope that if she knows or senses this that it doesn’t cause her anxiety.
She definitely seems restless to me too. Maybe she is mad because she hasn't had her milk yet. That's more likely because she is obsessed over her milk. I think she is old enough to be weaned off milk. She is a big healthy girl. She is growing up and is ready to become a regular elephant. 🐘🐘🐘
Elephants are very intelligent. She could be aware of her move but we can assure you that we will be keeping a very close eye over Khanyisa's transition 👀

Cara Debra sono molto d'accordo con te in tutto ciò che hai espresso!
She is now close to a ton?
She is currently 721,5kgs 😱
Don't the other elephants "play" soccer?
O the changes!
