Luke Splits an AT-ST | Skywalker vs. Chicken Walker

This week, I built something I’ve been thinking of doing for a while. I played the game The Force Unleashed a ton when it came out 10+ years ago, and I always loved the boss battles. There were two or three different finishing moves at the end of the AT-ST mini boss fights, and my favorite was when Starkiller jumped up and sliced the walker in half. This scene was inspired by that sequence from the game, but I adapted it to feature Luke as the Jedi doing the slicing. ‘Cause let’s be real, Luke is the best.
I designed Luke in Hero Forge and built his lightsaber in Shapr3D.

When I saw the thumb, I thought, "this had better have a perfectly recreated version of Luke's saber, but super tiny!" Glorious.
Father North.
yoooo north recongize me pls, love ur vids.
you could paint the glow that hot metal(the cross section) with fluorescent red and hide an UV led in each shell sides, it would make it even more fantastic.
Came here to post this.
Questioning the realistic-ness of Luke going through an AT-ST in one slice would be a nice debate for Star Wars fans. But I think if you just say, "because he's Luke Skywalker", many fans would accept that. ;-)
It's luke, he is one of the best jedi ever, unlike Marey sue.
Starkiller from the Force Unleashed games did something like that a few times
He cut the back or front of it when he jumped up and then again when he landed resulting in cutting it in two
well, if he tried.
In the books, luke made his lightsaber with the ability to extend it out a lot further
@@schmorb Darth Vader can also extend the length of his red lightsaber.
Fantastic idea and execution.
I just missed the two at-st pilots, I would have liked one with an expression of terror and the other seeing Luke from the inside.
That would be perfection.
The painting inside of the AT-ST really looks like it's been light sabered, the whole thing looks amazing.
Amazing !!!
"I should have planned that out better" 😂😂 Such a cool concept, and I love how you explain the way Luke could have done this. So fun to watch! Thanks!
if the diorama doesnt explain it visually, the diorama is a failure.
The drivers of that AT-ST are going to be in Imperial therapy for the next ten trilogies. ;P
made my day. thank you.
I have a crush on you-
oh, nice
man of culture
Great work
"I should have planned that better before I started cutting..." Thank god incredible artists such as yourself let us in on the human side of things. I'm sitting there thinking that you know exactly what you're doing every step of the way and that the turret flying away was part of your master plan.
I was thinking about the same...
"Oh, is he trying to simulate the damage naturally by letting those loose parts fly away on their own when cutting the hull? So clever!"
What if you'd use a luminsecent paint on the cut lines?
This!
That would be awesome
Was thinking the same, also maybe some weathering/dirt on the outside
An some melted slag, dropping to the floor.
How about two troppers inside checking to see if they have all their limbs.
I love how you can capture the essence of an epic motion scene with a still model
I have watched so many of your videos and only just realised the intro spells ‘boylei’ 😂😂
Amazing work as per usual too!
bruhhh
Same here!!! LOL!
......I never noticed until you said something. 😳
AT-ST driver: "Do you hear something?"
In the distance, muffled sounds of "Rules of Nature" grow louder.
Fantastic, as always. I'm blown away by not just the skill you show on the model itself, but by your ingenuity creating additional tools such as the circle cutting jig. You have mastered many disciplines, bravo.
If that orange paint is UV reactive, you could put a UV LED in each half of the walker and it would glow?
That's really cool! I've never played the Force Unleashed but I love the idea of being able to cut an AT-ST in half with a lightsaber!
Well, what a coincidence, I just replayed the force unleashed a few days ago.
Appreciate it
Incredible job on your star wars diorama ,Luke cutting through that atatWalker is awsome.
This is so cool! The terrain is so simple but looks so good. It was really relaxing to watch. Love that you completely detailed Luke's lightsaber!
Yesss force unleashed!!! played soo much of it!! this art piece was aaaaamazing
Your little explanation of how Luke managed to cut the AT-ST realistically honestly made me love this video all the more!! Brilliant, imaginative idea as always - you're a genius.
Hard-core star wars fan I mean from the womb I knew what the force was lol but real talk the reality of him cutting it in half don't even matter when your the bad ass making the diorama and it actually turns out like a 5 star exhibit I don't think we care we just appreciate the fact that you brought it to life...all we do as fans is siti around talking what if's so my brother thank you don't trip just keep this work comin don't stop...
Maaan, I'm sooo happy you did a force unleashed inspired diorama! It was one of my absolute FAVORITE star wars games growing up, I still play it from time to time, I think it still holds up. You captured the vibe so well 🤌🤌✨
Sorry for the long wait....That is truly AWSOME!!!!WOW!!! Do so enjoy Sunday mornings newest upload thanx bub.
This is art, appreciate it!!!!
i love the concept and the work. I would have added a few things:
1. A couple LEDs inside the AT-AT... as if an engine were red-hot (burning up) or weapon overload.
2. Hollowed out Lukes arm and backside to embed the wires, then epoxy to fill and repaint.
Galen Marek (Starkiller) : Wait, that's my move!
DUDE! That's freaking amazing!
RULES OF NATURE
Luke slicing AT-ST in half while Rules of Nature blasting in the background
How Rian Johnson thinks the fans wanna see Luke: A hermit who's lost all hope and is hiding in fear.
How the fans ACTUALLY wanna see Luke:
I have just recently discovered your videos and I have to say your videos are so amazing and relaxing thank you!
If Rey can backflip and de wing Kylo Emo, then Luke could cut this with his mind!
Emo Ren.
Ha ha so funny
EU/Legends Luke Skywalker >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Rey "The Bestest Eva" Palpatine (She is NOT a Skywalker)
@@dboymax1 truly, she tarnishes the name skywalker with her false claims.
NICE! An idea for the glowing metal would be yo paint It with Vallejo's Orange Fluo over white primer. That stuff, applied that way, really seems to glow.
Love seeing Luke at full power!
This isn't even his final form!
His final form he drinks furry midget milk
very nice
this also fits in with Luke's appearance in the Mandalorian, as in, this is the kind of badass thing he could pull off
He made multiple passes? Okay, Luke must have learned form IV from Yoda.
Small UV LEDs with a florescent paint could get you the glow you wanted.
Yea Luke’s been playing force unleashed lmao. Very nice man
AMAZING! Thanks for sharing this. 👍
Perhaps to make the cuts glow you could have used fluorescent paint, then used some clever light placement to put some black light LEDs to make it glow and shine?
I was half expecting blood all over the place, but I remembered it's Star Wars. The humans don't have blood.
Amazing work! You should do one of Captain Fordo from the Clone Wars shooting his pistol and rifle. I think that would look awesome. Love watching every week!
Dude your work is awesome! The X-wing and Tie fighter's is my favourite
You have a great imagination and the ability to turn your visions into reality! Another great build!
lol all the parts flying everywhere on the bandsaw!
He'd need a extra long lightsaber to actually do it tho, unless he has the time it takes to cut a pumpkin with a regular steak knife
Bravo. Great work as always.
This one of your coolest builds, amazing as always. Look forward to the next episode.
Luke: Took me several leaps to cut that AT-ST in half...
Rey the Mary Sue: Hold my milk.
Come on, I say Luke did it in one shot, he is THAT good. Maybe you should use Corran Horn (Expanded Universe version), he had a light saber with two crystals that could telescope out to the size of a claymore at least. Also, awesome work.
Luke and Vader can extend their lightsabers.
Great Star Wars project and excelent work at the diorama !🏆🥇👍👏👏👏
Man you work at such at high standard every single time!
If you are not selling these, you are nuts. There are fans who would pay $300 or more to have that. Amazing talent you have.
Better story than the whole disney "non-canon" trilogy.
Agreed
No and it is canon whether you like it or not
@@Skept1cal_269 Sorry, no it isnt :)
@@Lornext I hate to give anything akin to praise towards the sequels but they're technically correct that the Disney trilogy is canon due to the fact that the lore legally belongs to them, as they purchased Star War's intellectual property and thus can call the shots on what is and isn't "canon"
@@written_and_recited Legally maybe, but for the true fans or SW, never.
Space wizards in the future-past. Realistic doesn't even enter the equation; it's all about Rule of Cool.
Looks amazing! Id suggest a bit more damage (melted metal, weathering) along the cut as it looks a bit too clean.
You have that keen eye, also...good. I'm not the only one.👁
@@charlesfuentes3695 yeah hahah, it looks good but that detail I think would really seal the illusion that he's torn right through that thing
I don't know, in the movies everything looks pretty clean cut by a light saber.
@@moirahorton5167 With most quick cuts yeah they tend to be clean, but with something large like this where the lightsaber would be dragged through youd get rough damage on the edges. You can see this in that scene in TPM when qui-gon cuts through the door in the beginning, the metal melts around the lightsaber.
Should have left some or the roughness from the bandsaw for melting metal.
Dude that’s bad ass !! Great job.
NUMBER 1 in like, in comment and in view
I'm not gonna lie, i clicked on the video and immediately skipped to the end, because I'm here for the result, not how you got there, but it looks amazing and I left a like.
Looks really nice!! Good work!
"Thats far more realistic" *Is talking about a space wizard cutting a futuristic mech in half with a laser sword*
when people say "not my luke" they're expecting this
Just what i need on a Monday lunch break while at work!
Ingenuity at a very high level! Great idea - awesome execution 👍🏻
it made me broke my heart to see the Scout Walker cutting in half
That... Is Awesome ,great job.
I don’t question anything about this except how not lazy this guy is
Somehow you out do your self week in week out. Amazing stuff.
Amazing as always, can't wait to see what you do next!
It's like your in a constant state of just "ive woken up and smoked a fat blunt" with that voice lol
“I made a circle cutting jig”
🤨
I’m going to need more info on this jig of yours. Totally need my own.
this.. this.. this is one of the coolest things i have ever seen :O
I like your explanation of how he cut it in half. But I was thinking, Luke could be near by and using the force to move the lightsaber around the chicken walker to cut it in half.
Excellent work.
This Luke has to pass and cut through three times to completely cut the AT-ST...XD
It's beautiful man!
you could paint the middle cut section of the mech with flouresent paint ant light it with infra red light for the glowing melted metal effect
every of your diorama's are absolutly stunning :)
You can 3d print at-st with transparent resin, than paint cutted edges orange varnish and put leds in legs, so edge will be shining like fresh cut metal.
This is canon to me because Luke is the og Jedi and the best Jedi. Goodbye and thank you for this masterpiece. 🙏✌
i looked up the lore on atat splitting and common consensus is that a Jedi will use the force to add extra weight and power into their swing, cutting anything like butter, however it really only works in straight lines since you can just change directions mid swing with all that force force, its been shown off various times in the movies, just not on an atat.
why does this guy have 70k subs instead of 700k? this man deserves it!
Seriously cool! Well done.
I'd love to see filaments used for the cut parts of the AT/ST glowing hot!
Nice job on walker construction by the way.👍
For the glowing cut parts, you could try some glow powder and UV LEDs hidden inside the walker to light it up.
Actually, given how you use your LED filaments, I bet you could have a lot of fun with glow powder.
Yoda cut a Klingon Bird of Prey in half just using the force in Search for Spock
No shade intended, you're Luke kinda looks like Clone Wars Anakin... I kinda want to make that now... thanks for the idea.
Great Job, every piece I've seen of yours looks amazing. I hope someday I can be that good.
Out of the park!!!!!
Now THIS is badass.
Luke pretending to be LIGHTING TRANSFORMED 200%
2:33, best part, cut bros arm off, savage !
I have my self that AT-ST model, i painted it with brushes and oil base paint from Revell, term pretty good for be my first build and diorama i ever made, but yours man really sick very creative i have to say.
Marketing Team: Our models are designed by the best in the biz.
Star Wars fan: hold my beer.
Awesome work!
Man, that was soooo nice 👍👍👍
That look hella good you did amazing
Fantastic work.
