I first heard this song in 2010, aka the worst year of my life. Listening to the lyrics for the first time, they hit me like a ton of bricks. To this day, this song reminds me not only of those dark days, but of just how how far I've come since. I don't think I've ever connected so strongly with a song before or since then.
All I can say is that there will never be another like Chris Cornell. RIP.

Could never understand why Scream got such a bad wrap - aside from the fact that most of the critics were very, very narrow-minded.

Until today, I had never heard of the album "Scream" by Chris Cornell, along with this song. So, when I saw the title, I thought I was going to see a COVER of Radiohead's "Climbing up the Walls." Cornell had such a powerful voice; and by far, one of the greatest vocalists to come out of the Grunge Era. I could barely contain my excitement, because to me, it was like having two of my favorite flavors of Ice Cream in the same bowl!
