My 2017 L5P is doing the exact same things... please keep the videos coming my truck is down with the same issues
What is the resistance across the can bus? If ODB pins 6 and 14 are CAN high, and CAN low, with batteries disconnected, you should have 60 ohms on a meter. If this is open, or shorted, you will not have communication on this bus. That you cannot connect on earlier cables , but can in a newer version could mean that the new cable is self powered on the CAN, which could also indicate a loss of the CAN power, check these pins with meter set on voltage for 2.5v with power on engine off. To pin 5 as ground.
If you have a shorted harness you could chase many components before detecting.
Expensive diagnosis process
I cant remember where I heard ir read it. Maybe from Truck Master’s channel but there was something that had to do with injector return rate causing fuel pressure problems
My coworker says the sending unit or the pump in the tank goes not give out codes or anything that's kind of why he thinks that's what I need. Plus brakes plus replaced the fuel pump.

When your in HP tuners and its connected to the truck but not recording in the channel box on the left right click then hit add channel it gives you a list of different parameters you can click and add to that channel list box lift pump pressure is underneath fuel pressure drop down box I had the same issue with my five LP ended up spending $3000 at the dealership before I got it fixed
Correct the channel list i have loads in then when you start scanning it disappears because the truck is not able to communicate with the sensors to read off them because something on the system is down and not sending the data to the Ecm
2022 duramax 3.0 repeat p1089 codes, dealer replaced both fuel pumps, still throwing codes 15k miles, super annoying will take back to dealer
Having this exact problem with my truck for the mpvi2 not communicating with ecm truck has been tuned. I can not write the vin to the ecm using the editor. Hope you can figure this out may be my problem as well
