yep i remember him when he first started i thought if Ryan Renolds did stand up this is what he would be like. Sadly Stephen didn't go mainstream he just kept doing what he liked to do so he never made it to the front lines of entertainers having that musical thing to his gigs. But i still remember from long ago the first time i heard his lullabye song was amazing.
My dad used to record the 30 min comedy specials on me for vhs. 2002 saw Stephen and he shaped me more than I realized. 4 chords and beautifully hilarious songs.
Back in the late 90s early 2000s a guy I worked for gave me this dvd as a gift Stephen lunch live at the el Ray. Just so happened that weekend he was playing live at the local college. Timing wise it was so awesome. We got to spend a few minutes chatting with him and Mark Tyke got my CDs signed it was awesome. Seen him 3 or 4 more times since then but that was the only time we actually got to hang out and chat with the man.
Many of his songs are quite beautiful. His vocals and guitar play is top notch. The funny thing is that he's a more talented in music than 99,9% of what's out there.
I introduced a good buddy of mine to Stephen about 10 years ago, way before this and other than laughing his ass off he said, "Dude! This guy can play guitar!"
This track is great, so relived, heard old heart, and thought he lost his edge, but this one restores my faith he still has it . I’ll try to see him in Chicago.
He has been writing while he is supporting the My Old Heart album. This is one of many new songs he is planning on putting on a new album. He said he doesn't want to wait 3 years this time and I'm stoked!
I don't know how I've never looked up everything this guy does after LOVING Special Olympics the last 15yrs, haha, gotta love a song about killing babies! hahahaha
Damn. Im from Poland where he never performed and i would just love to see him live. Especially that my sense of humour is similar. And true, it is great to see him again after lack of activity.
This makes me think of an idea for a club I'd come up with a yr or two ago, though, I'd never tried to get it off the ground (nor would I even know how I would do that if I could, lol)! Anyway, was the DBC, or: the Dead Baby Club having this tagline: Saving the World, One Dead Baby at a Time! The club's premise, is for members to come UP WITH and usually write out and read aloud sharing with the group, stories killing off fictional, imaginary babies, usually in the MOST f*cked up WAYS POSSIBLE, usually a bit over the TOP, such as to not COME OFF too terribly psychotic, but rather the purpose of it would be what I call the Stephen King model, ie writing about murdering the necessary people so as to not do this actually in real life, then; also as King said (though talking about revising or editing, for this part), but not sure the particular wordin' he used, something like, "Sometimes...you got to kill your darlings!" LmMFaO!
Sichard Rimmins thats not really true. Listen to his last two albums. This song is awesome though. I like the harder stuff before Broadway better but it’s all good
One historical era. Robert E Lee didn't actually surindered to save lives on both sides. He was military and simply had orders. Jefferson Davis the commander said he had no right to surindered without his authority. So Lee was a good guy and Davis was the CIC for the south. Thats why Lee gets honors. But everything else on this song is hilarious.
I was thinking it was gonna end with people thinking he’s evil and wanting to kill him because they don’t know why he’s killing so many innocent babies.
Why the leaf blower guy? That invention saved me tons of hours of yard work. And without Charlie Manson, you won't get that kick ass ending from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Looks like I'm getting my own time machine.
What blows me away is how he just completely changed the arrangements of the song when he notices the guitar is out of tune. And he just makes it work. He just goes "alright" and makes it work.
Cheers! I don’t think that’s what happened, though. He uses so many open chords, and they’re in tune. He didn’t change the arrangement because on his C chord with the middle finger doing its little rhythmic flair, that’s not something you can just change on the fly. I’m not sure why he tried to do the second chord as a bar chord before he changed it, but his guitar is not out of tune, and he played the song as it was meant to be played.

@@watchcloak Yeah, after $300-$500, the benefit in sound quality greatly diminishes. Used to work at Sam Ash, and you’d be surprised by how many expensive guitars sounded so similar to those in the $500 range.
Probably the most underrated comedian of all time...My idol.
he is so wonderful:D. in his own league
Bruce, Carlin, Pryor, Lynch! Not necessarily in that order. Brilliant comedy by all but Stephen is also a great musician with an amazing voice!
Love “Almighty Malachi”
The fact that Stephen isn't more famous, is such a fucking shame. This man should be famous, period!
He's really not that talented, calm down.
@@ahoyforsenchou7288 Your avatar picture says it all.

Stephen Lynch the legend, still listening to you 16 years later
Still hilarious, still talented af, still gorgeous. Keep doing your thing, baby. I've been a fan for 20 years and counting.

I so love that it fits the scheme, fits like a dream, that's a great comment.

I can’t believe he’s still doing these! Love this guy
I haven't seen this dude in a while then boom, he's old.
Its been like 2 years maybe? He didn't look old then. I just think the glasses are adding a few years. His lips also look a bit thinner.
Happens to all of us 🤭
Now look in a mirror and be amazed, you all aged as well! O fuck, that includes me... shit. :/

The world needs more Stephen Lynch.
From the early 2000's, not this guy
It seems he's forgotten what made him so unique and beloved. Being hillariously offensive.
Stephen Lynch was such a nice guy when I met him in Seattle many years ago. Rod Cone was very cool too.
This is so good. Great audio. I've been a fan of SL forever. All the 90's stuff. It's good to see you again and strong, and always entertaining.
I found Stephen Lynch on Pandora and I just wish that he had more songs that I could binge.
Found this guy out based on a recommendation a few weeks ago and I’ve been listening to him since 😂
Saw him live in manchester! He was the best!
Super catchy and very Stephen Lynch indeed. I've been a fan of his for a long time now. Can't wait to hear his next album with new materials.
Last time I saw a current video of him was back in 2009, searched for him and BOOM gray hair and all, time passes fast. ☹
What a professional!
GET THOSE EVIL BABIES!! Brilliant, as always, Septhen! Love you!

Stephen Lynch. One of my all time favorites
How can I like this multiple times?!
Regardless, I gotta learn this one. Another blast from Stephen.
I saw him last night at the Cleveland House of Blues and I'm pumped for what his new album is gonna bring.
I remember this guy! Where you been Stephen??
He said in the interview he saved his money and he lives in Michigan with his wife. He writes and tours whenever he feels like it.
"If the sauth reis it'd be the north."
This track is great, so relived, heard old heart, and thought he lost his edge, but this one restores my faith he still has it . I’ll try to see him in Chicago.

Why isnt this song on any albums
Why would he not record this and put it out? Its so good
