It was good to see your attitude was still the same without the "Big Girl". Your comments about the pros and cons of a carrier or authority was very informative. I'm following Greg's channel on the rebuild. He's really including us and keeping us up to date. I thought you were going to make a major announcement. You know what I thought 😅. We still here, holding it down. Stay safe young brother. God bless you 💪🏿 🙏🏿.
Very factual stuff right here, ive been trucking for 42 years, and started out working for my dad, and did for 30 years, my dad passed on 10 years ago, i took over the business, and last december closed it down, i was running 6 days a week, got home, did maintenance on my truck on sunday, and left again monday evening, and then adding on fuel prices, tire prices, insurance prices, licensing prices, it just wasnt worth it for me anymore as im 60 now. having your own authority is great for the freedom, but there has to be a good economy and good rates to compensate for the high fuel, and maintenance costs. I now am leased on to a local company pulling hopper bottom, and then in the spring and fall i pull liquid fertilizer locally, and am able to spend more time with my wife, kids, and grand kids, I've been up and down the entire west coast, and seen some beautiful scenery in my 42 years of trucking, but being able to sleep in my own bed every night is very nice i must say.
I hope your mom will get better god bless your mom my brother i lost my mom back in 2010 and I will tell you spend as much time as you can with your mom but i know and she knows you have to make that money to support your family, god bless you and your family happy holidays my brother mike from Mississippi. Love your videos keep doing what you are doing.
Man.... I kinda miss hauling reefer loads. That reefer unit sleep be some good sleep! Im local doing linehaul for a FedEx contractor! Stay safe out there, bro! Cant wait to see the Pete! Edit: Momma will be fine! Shes in Gods hands! God already worked everything out for her!
I’ve watched all yo videos bro it don’t matter if they a hour or 45 mins…what keep me engaged in yo content more than the other trucking content is it feels like we hanging out with you on yo trips more than “a day in the life”…you give more game than instruction…keep going bruv
Hey brother, be careful with those smoke stacks being on the bottom of the truck, I drove a truck like that, when I was idling at nite to keep warm the smoke was coming in the cab, unless your cab is sealed good.
Yessir that is true, my truck is a car hauler and the stacks are at the bottom. I designed it to point out the passenger side behind the wheel to detour the fumes. I also let the hood up to prevent fumes from the engine like blow by coming into the vents entering the cab. Carbon dioxide detectors are a good idea for safety reasons. Stay sharp interstate gang and many blessings to you brother.
Man definitely needed this video was looking into everything for the past couple weeks taking in as much information and different perspectives as much as I can thanks bro stay grinding and stay prayed up!
You are very blessed and also an inspiration.. keep pushing because someone is always watching and being motivated by you even if you don’t see it… much respect bro
Bro i appreciate this video a lot of us respect your knowledge and observations of the trucking industry so again thank you would love to see videos like this once a month of your opinions of the trucking industry via owner op perspective
U said it the right way, keep the grind..Hustle!!. Went up to Cleveland n back last week, then twice up to Denver and now headed back to Dallas, be safe keep the faith..Ron
Man I can’t till march it’s going to be one hell of a reveal love the content only RUclipsr as of now that genuinely watch all the way though and stalk the page for a new video I wish you well family can’t wait for the next one 👋🏾
Definitely agree, Ive had my authority for almost 2 years. I do everything myself. From the registration to the s corp taxes. Everything. Its was super tough that first year but im on cruise control right now. I also opened up a buisness stock brokerage account. I invested a lot of money in stocks and ETF’s. The dividends that I make from those positions pay for most of my trucking expenses. I had to grind and eat noodles and coffee for a year but im starting reap the rewards even in this tough market. Long story short, if that grind aint in you and you looking for other people to do the work for you, be a company driver. Nothing wrong with knowing ur limits.
Yeah I like what you saying I’m lease on but I came on with my own trailer only thing company cover is ifta and my truck being on there insurance everything else I do
I’m leased on to a carrier 85/15 and its not bad they have nice lanes I can pick how long I wanna be out max is like 4-5 days before you’ll see the house again. The guys that run here see pretty good Money most of them see high 300s up to mid 400s ( gross) per year.
Biggest thing you missed if you operate your own equip you need to know cost per mile 1 thing next need customers not brokers you will not make it if you dont know your cost of running next if you rely on brokers to keep you running you will fail. I ran 25 of my own trucks and 10 o/ops..
Well I see where this can be true in most trucking companies. Well a true fact I don’t run off a cost per mile and have done just fine. And I haven’t once added my fixed cost up and miles in one month to figure out my cost to operate. Not saying that knowing your cost to operate isn’t important because it is I just don’t operate off it.
I'd avoid the x15 unless it's deleted... Also be careful if that 389 was done by Fitzgerald. I've seen some corners they cut doing the rebuilds in house...
Hey brother, check your Queens comments for my comments on your video. I don't show a comment box until I click on someone else comments. Anyway I'm still here 💪🏿🙏🏿

Gotta Luv when the plans wrk out🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊💯📢📢📢📢📢📢📢📸🎥📹📽
Nice when U have GR8 ppl 2 haul 4 is DEFINITELY a plus that differentiates from Large Carriers bcos U develope PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The key is owner operator that is the main advantage. You get to decide how to setup your business.
You’re honestly an inspiration to me. I’m gonna be getting my first truck and its gonna be a peterbilt , keep up the amazing work
Once the new wagon arrives, make sure All is checked over bcos sumtimez even the factory leaves things not completed
Will not leave the lot unless it checks all the boxes
You are very blessed and also an inspiration.. keep pushing because someone is always watching and being motivated by you even if you don’t see it… much respect bro
Thanks!
