Football Fan Plays Epic Tribute to Meat Loaf I'd Do Anything For Love Piano | Cole Lam 14 Years Old

- Sheet Music for my own Arrangement: bit.ly/CL_IWDAFL. Hopefully you have a spare 10 minutes - as I pay tribute to the amazing Meat Loaf who sadly passed away a few days ago on 20 Jan 2022. Meat Loaf, like one of my other favourite idols Freddie Mercury was a legendary rock artist that shared his magic with us and made our lives better just by being there. Music can connect us all, but there is some music has that extra special something that can really go deep inside all of us and make us stop. Freddie had it - Meat Loaf is another. 10 minutes is a long time to just stop whatever you are doing, but these guys in the video did that. This was my own piano arrangement of I'd Do Anything For Love piano cover from the Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell album which I played on Sunday just after the Arsenal v Burnley game.
So many things happening in this video - my favourite is the guy with the little boy on his shoulders. I think you can see from his eyes that he could not really comprehend what was going on and he was looking around in a little shock I think. It's funny that he's so shook up that he just stops and does not realise he's in the middle of the area, and the couple behind him is just as confused as to why he has done that. Then they move to continue watching. That's what music can do. Meat Loaf may have passed away, but there is a bit of him in all of us that have been lucky enough to hear his music.
Oh yeah - need a better camera holder - that's twice it fell - but then there is a lot of vibrations from the piano from that rumbling bass, and I have to drive it in with my left hand to get that sound that I want!
This is my tribute to Meat Loaf - I'd Do Anything For Love piano cover - played on the public piano at the St Pancras International Train Station. In memory of Meat Loaf 27 Sep 1947 - 20 Jan 2022.

Beautiful!💜
👏👏👏🥰😍
You're right Cole ....Meatloaf and Freddy were truly special and poured heart and soul into their music . I always say music is good for the soul.....keep on spreading your music Cole ❤🇨🇦
Love it. ❤
With all due respect to Meat Loaf, let's not forget the composer of the masterpiece. Jim Steinman, who passed in 2021.
He did great work with numerous artists, but he was the perfect composer for Meatloaf.
What a brilliant songwriter, thank you for mentioning that.
Great songwriter Jim Steinman - also wrote “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler and “Making Love Out of Nothing At All” by Air Supply.
Exactly my first thought as well. Jim was truly a unique composer and song writer with many songs to his credit. Meatloaf was unique as well. They were great together
Meatloaf said hed probly pass away last year because of Jim. He made it to 2022 two amazing artists 😭 ❤🙏🏻❤
I love the fact that a 14 year old appreciates Meat Loaf! Bravo! Great performance.
AMEN
Absolutely
He’s 14?????
Yep
My PT assistant listens to Led Zep. These artists have fans across generations.
Rest in piece Jim Steinman and Meatloaf. You did em proud Cole.
So good to see that young musicians keep the Jim Steinman/Meat Loaf legacy alive! Well done Cole.
From an old Manchester United fan, to a young Arsenal fan; you have completely reduced me to tears!
I can’t claim to be a massive Meatloaf fan; but he was part of the background of my life.
Cole, that was truly astonishing!
Keep up the good work…
From an old Arsenal fan, that was so heartwarming to read.. thank you Bill.. which also was my late father's name.. respect..
From an old Feyenoord fan,you took the words out off my mouth.
My dad is an old Arsenal fan which means I can be a young arsenal fan!
Thank you for speaking on my behalf Bill
@@ColeLam , I suspect you're "under contract" to be an Arsenal fan . . . until at least age 21 B-)
Cole Lam is incredible.
The way he play the song makes me wanna cry, really touch my heart this is so cool
Yes, so much passion in his playing.
Its great to see a young man appreciate an iconic rock star!!
1:13 you can tell that man is either a huge fan of this song or a huge fan of meatloaf in general. Awesome to see the expression on his face
As long as people of Coles Generation remember Meatloaf and Jim Steinman he will be forgotten you played brilliant Cold thanks
That was truly wonderful Cole….Meat would have been very touched as well as impressed that you are only 14 with so much talent! Wow!
Wherever he is, and I’m sure it’s not far away, I’m sure he heard you with much gratitude that his music had touched you so much. Bless you Cole, keep on playing….I’m sure your going places with such talent and respect. 💕👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌹
This 14yr old kid is amazing and he's a Gooner.. he also likes meatloaf.. total respect the parents must be so proud..👏👏👏 RIP Marvin Lee Aday. 💐
Shame about being a Gooner, but apart from that, top bloke, top performance.
@@paulwood5803 there's no shame in being a Gooner..
Exactly. As we sing in the stadium. Oh to be, oh to be a gooner!
@@dfwm6660 100% there is ;)
@St. Elmo 3rd biggest?? Not sure about that.....
Rest in Peace Meatloaf and thank you Cole Lam for this great tribute.
Bring back lots of memories in this epic song tribute..RIP meat loaf..
As usual, Cole, you don’t disappoint. I think Meat Loaf would be proud of your cover.
Meatloaf was proud and made his approval by nudging the GoPro off the piano at @ 4:47
Meatloaf would have definitely been proud...and probably would've been in tears as I am now, he would've been proud that several generations later, a 14 yr old musician, is playing his music...helping his legacy live on, and those that inspired him to become who he became, will live on as well...music and sports can really unite this planet
I had goosebumps after the first five seconds!
Meat loaf took Jim’s work of the page and turned them into magic. A perfect combination that will last forever rip to both will be missed
Amazing piano performance 👍👍🎹🎹👏👏
Wonderful tribute, Cole.
We always say RIP to our departed friends, but, without any disrespect to the indomitable Meatloaf, I feel sure that he is roaring round wherever he is, minus any of the problems he had down here, and peace might not be quite the word for it!
We were lucky to have shared the same world with him.
Meat Loaf.............
14 y/o that has my respect. Remember as an artist, your biggest supporters will always be strangers who don't even know you.
Beautiful & respectful tribute to a Absolute Legend...He would absolute loved it if he could tell you that in person, he was a such humble & kind soul...Well done Cole...R.I.P. Meatloaf
Cole that was the most beautiful tribute to Meatloaf. Brilliant.
Dad with the kid on his shoulders is a champ
Hearttouching. Who else have the Voice of Meatloaf in his Mind hearing this.
Thank you cole you are most kind Michael Aday aka Meatloaf was an old friend I will miss our friendship ,,,,Shrek You 7:27 am New York Time
Marvin Aday
@@davidpope9931 yes Marvin Aday but then changed his name to Michael Aday.
Then changed his name to Meatloaf..what's your point?
@@davidpope9931 he was given the name meat as a baby by his dad and I think it was his gym teacher who added the loaf and that's where meatloaf came from he didn't change it to meatloaf
Shrek you Meatloaf!
I can't believe this young gentleman is only fourteen, his whole attitude, demeanour is more the maturity of a twentysomething not a teenager. Beautiful played, amazing tribute. Experiences like listening to this young gentlemen completely do "I'd Do Anything For Love" justice is worth taking time to stop and listen to.🌹
Meatloaf is smiling on you you are amazing how wonderful this is in his honor
I've always loved this song but after watching and hearing you perform this it proves how amazing a music talent Jim Steinman was. Wow. Such talent and creativity.
Great tribute, Cole! I'm sure Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman would be very proud of you as well!
The world lost a rock icon. Thank you young man for this tribute to Meat and Jim.
Cole Lam....One of my favorites. I am watching all his Videos. He amazes with his music
A talented young musician playing an incredible tribute to a composer & singer that made this song a classic before the pianist was even born that's what good music does it spans generations .......rock the heavens Jim & Meatloaf icons of my youth
Meatloaf is a real hero of music and songs, his voice was phenomenal in its class, I love his music and singing vocabulary, cannot be found in anybody else, he's legendary singing should be recognized every year on his anniversary, the one and only MEATLOAF, the bed of heaven to him, michael IRELAND =[EIRE]
I was driving the first time I heard this song. I pulled over and listened to it to the end. I didn't know who Meatloaf was at the time but I became a fan and am so sad that he's gone. Thank you for this beautiful tribute.
Spot on I can hear Meat Loaf singing, RIP we will miss you
Thanks for that saw in concert ,energy he gave off amazeing. He enjoyed what he did and gave all of himself to the crowd.A piece of me died when i found out he died.
If you look at everyone watching, nobody even really shifts their body posture or gaze through the 9 minutes of him playing, like they're truly captivated. Man was even wiping tears at the end!
Boy is only 14, he has an amazing talent. keep playing brother
Cole your good great even.
I love rock to metal, and Im almost 60, thank you to bring some smile on this old face.
Meat Loaf, Freddie Mercury, what great taste in music for a 14 year old!
Two of my musical idols were also Freddie Mercury and Meatloaf so I really appreciate the passion you put into playing the covers of their music. It is just about never that you run across a 14 year old that knows that there is also a meatloaf that you don't simply eat. You are way beyond your years musically. Another very nice performance and I must add that your voice has gotten very deep as well. I was surprised by that when I heard you speak this time around (I obviously have not seen one of your newer video's until now).
Talented young man 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍Rest In Peace Meat Loaf 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏☮️💟
What's amazing to me is to see all the people just passing by, busy to wait idily at their departure gate, missing such a fantastic performance. That's sad.
A tribute to both meat loaf and Jim steinman ... respect to both 👏
Absolute respect to Jim Steinman, for creating this masterpiece and to Meat for giving it voice. They will both live forever in this song🎶💜🌹💜🌷🎶🎶
Great tribute to someone 62 years your senior! Thank you.
What a great tribute to meatloaf what a music legend
respect for not losing your cool when the camera is falling on the keys twice 😅 great job 👏
Haha. Have to expect everything when playing Public pianos!
@@ColeLam Jim Steinman tells a story about doing an audition with Meat in the legendary Clive Davis’ office. Davis had family photos atop the Spinet piano and Steinman said they fell off due to his pounding. The audition ended abruptly. 😜
Dad just needs to let him PLAY PIANO and give him some space and not be putting all kinds of cameras in front of the kids face ! All the video dad is filming walking around you would think should be enough but I would love to just see Cole be allowed to be a kid and have fun and play without so many cameras in his face. Great Job Cole !
Err... If there isn't a camera you can't see me! Anyway the camera angles are my idea but thank you for the suggestion. It is because I was adored to see more angles if people around me
@@ColeLam I think you had at least one angel around you whilst playing that. Amazing job, well done. 👍
Definitely one of my favorite Meatloaf songs!
Hi Liam. Thanks for this, I'm a 54 year old dad of two. Saw Meatloaf a few times and also Queen (with Freddie, Paul and Adam) many times. Keep on loving the Classic Rock!
I’m glad this popped up in my recommended, you did a great job with it! I really dislike the music in the charts these days, not much of it is especially memorable or has scope for spectacular productions/performances like songs were from years ago so I am so pleased to see a young person enjoying and playing this music and doing it so well too. We need to keep this sort of music alive in a world where it doesn’t get made like this anymore. Well done!!
Brother you are as cool as anyone I’ve ever seen in my life I got tears watching and thinking about the fragility of life itself and how the finality of the ending of it comes so quickly no matter how old you live to be but what makes music so amazing is that it never dies it goes on hopefully for all eternity so in the end he did do that, stay cool my friend and I will wait for the day you do this for my guy Bruce Springsteen he’s always stopped me in my tracks much appreciated and again f ing cool beyond words
Cole, what a wonderful tribute to Meatloaf.
Thank you. Your performance just made a sickly old lady feel good on a cold Cleveland winter’s night. I saw the man in concert and he was great. You are, too. Just keep making people happy with your music. Rough times are ahead and we need to share as much of the beautiful as possible. I’ll follow you!
🌄 beautiful way to start my day 🎶🎹 Meatloaf gave of himself, a brilliant musician with so many talents from Broadway to the Opera. You too are such a sympathetic, caring, & compassionate person with many attributes Cole. TY...you're a gift to Humanity.🤗💞 🌍
Beautiful Rockin performance! Meatloaf would of been proud ! My favorite Meatloaf song too . May he rest in paradise. ❤️🙏☺️
Meatloaf is/was and still is a very amazing artist. He will be missed. He would have been proud to be honored with your rendition. Awesome job 👍🏻
Indeed a true legend just sad I never got to meet him or see him in concert 😔😔
You are that great pianist anyone who were at train station for sure they enjoyed and well satisfied with your playing "l can do anything for love".keep it up yeah the little boy really liked it listening to your playing.stay safe and healthy always. GOD bless Cole n your family.
Wow such an honour to hear a young guy play this 😊 Thank you 🙏 it is beautiful 🎼🎶 R.I.P to a Legend that Meat Loaf was and always will be 🕊 fly high up there with Jim or wherever you guys are 🕯another legend 💙🤘🏼
피아노를 너무잘칩니다 ..긋모닝
BRAVO!! God you made me cry! I would have dropped a big fat tip in your jar if I were one of those people standing around. RIP Meat Loaf and thank you for the music.
Got about 7 minutes into it before I noticed in the title that Cole is 14. Super impressive. A great tribute
Thank you Cole. I may have listened to your tribute a few times now. As I said on FB
he was incredible i love his theatrical rock and your tribute is just outstanding. This has the potential to be as big as your bohemian rhapsody.
I love how you perform these incredible pieces.
Really Outstanding Cole, Meatloaf was a real Rock Icon and his music is clearly not easy to copy. Your cover of this one was truly remarkable but then we have come to expect nothing less. I am really waiting to see all the other videos from this day at St Pancras. The crowd were really with you.
Yeah incredible that it was just him and the piano nothing else, I happily watched the whole 9 mins I love to see the passion he has
I will never understand how people can just walk on by....I would miss my train rather than miss a beautiful performance like this....
I will never understand how people can post this kind of comment....I would miss a musical performance I can replay anytime anywhere on multiple devices rather than miss a train and get late for my flight or a job interview....
Would you miss a train for a journey from London to Newcastle that you'd paid a lot of money for? Given that it's St Pancras Station, would you miss the Eurostar to France?
Get a grip.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Of all the singers in this world. Meat is my favorite. He never failed to touch my soul.
Amazing performance! It brings tears in my eyes RIP Meat Loaf, you will never be forgotten
Thank you dear for sharing your talent with us, you made me tear up! I think you did Meatloaf, and the composer Jim Steinman proud. 😁
Jamming so hard the phone keeps fainting! Bravo! RIP sir 🕯️🕊️🕯️
Cole that was simply magnificent Meatloaf would give you a standing ovation for the stunning performance
Fantastic performance. It was always my dream to see Meat Loaf life on a concert. But now I enjoy you playing this wonderful masterpiece. Thank you ❤
You are fantastic Cole. I love Meatloaf music. He is part of my generation. Your contribution is part of our " Football family". From a Brighton & Hove Albion Fan!....So uplifting, to us all, from such a talented young person !
Jim Steinmann was a master composer, beautiful song... 🌹
You young sir are blessed with amazing talent & a true gift! Please don't ever quit playing.
Beautiful tribute...even in this instrumental only version I hear, see and feel Meat Loaf! Amazing! Thanks for sharing.
RIP Marvin Lee Aday - Your works are timeless and will continue to positively impact people as long as we are here, thanks. God Bless
Great tribute to a fantastic artist, you did Meat Loaf proud!!! He was larger than life with his epic performances a fan of his from the start. Still have the original Bat out of Hell final I purchased new in the 70's. Meat Loaf really brought Jim Steinman's music to life. Thanks again for sharing your talent
Two times fallen camera is a perfect sign, how much passion you put in playing one of the best rock ballads of all time. Thank you Cole, thank you Meatloaf
Breath taking as always. Made me cry. Plays the piano more beautiful than anyone I have ever heard.
The world was truly blessed with this man’s talent. Thanks for amazing tribute to Meat Loaf! ❤
I am clapping here! That was awesome. I love this song from it's very first beginning in 1993. That time buying a whole album in my country was nearly impossible but song could be heard on radio stations in radio edit version. Sometimes we were lucky to hear whole version. Oh, those were days and memories. Thank you for this very great cover. I really appreciate it that's why I used one of your links in description. ;)
Wow thank you so much! I just had a notification on PayPal and OMG! Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. I love what I do, and I love that it can mean something to people out there, but really, that's so kind of you! Thanks SO SO MUCH! Cole
Excellent Mr Lam
I love your music Cole Lam. God bless you always.
Absolutely brilliant Cole, i was absolutely gutted when Meat Loaf passed away, i loved him 🙏🙏
Meat would have absolutely loved this, he would have been watching this with a smile on his face and a tear in his eye 🙏🙏
RIP, Meat 🙏 🙏 🦇 🦇 🦇
Indeed 🥩🍞 will forever be a 🦵🔚
🏆🏆🏆👍🇺🇲🙏
RIP MARVIN ♥️💔🛐
Birthname (Marvin Lee Aday) 🙏
Magnificent Cole 🎹 🎖️🤗
Thank you for sharing
Great tribute my friend and thank you for standing out for real rock and roll music✌
Every time I'm impressed when young people love the old rock'n roll heroes. I was born in 1960, and I love Queen, Genesis, Pink Floyd and of course Meat Loaf and some others. You did a good job, young fellow, really good.
Absolutely brilliant nobody should be that good at such a young age
Cole, You know it's a epic cover when Michael Aday spirit adds the high note.
Dude, well done young man! I know Meat Loaf and Stienman would both be proud and appreciative. It's exttremely reassuring to see someone your age appreciating something that isn't dubsteb and auto-tuned. Thank you for the video!
Man this hits right in the feels still. I grew up on listening to Meatloaf the world lost a fantastic human being...You did an amazing job!
What a fantastic tribute arrangement Cole....so pleased to see so many people appreciate your talent...wish I could have been there too but alas live too far away..follow you avidly from afar❤🩹💝
Great job. I got choked up listening. I’m sure Meat and Jim were looking down and smiling.
The lyrics are running through my mind... Beautiful rendition, Cole. Thank you!
Well done Cole, excellent performance,
This is one of my favourite song of Meat Loaf.
Both Jim and Marvin would be very proud of you. You have an amazing talent and I hope you'll go as far as either of them.
Holy sh*t... I never cry but this actually has set me off, I don't know whether it's the emotional connection from my own experience or how powerful it is that it's being played with no singing after Meatloaf's death... Wow. 😭
Lovely respectful tribute cover, Cole, excellently executed. Larger audience , including the young boys (little one on shoulders, boy in showerproof jacket and more). Meatloaf same age as me - sobering thought.❤❤❤
There are only two things with enough power to change the world. One is love, the other is Music. Thank you.
Fantastic arrangement and cover! Lovely song...👏👏👏🌟✨🌟✨🎶🎵🎶
One of the greats.
Thank you for this lovely tribute to an amazing and unforgettable artist!
Wonderful tribute to the brilliant Meat Loaf
Gezz bring me to tears hearing this. Young man YOU ARE GOOD!!
