    DJI SPARK VS YUNEEC BREEZE
HERE'S MY OPINION ON THE DJI SPARK VS YUNEEC BREEZE THE STATEMENT BELOW WAS MADE FOR SOMEONE ELSE BUT I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE INTERESTING FOR ANYONE THINKING OF BUYING THE YUNEEC BREEZE TO SEE HERE LOVE MY YUNEEC BREEZE!!!!
I bought the SPARK in the BREEZE
I had them both for a week of course the SPARK is better but not $400 better!!
THE CAMERA ON THE BREEZE IS BETTER THAN THE SPARK!! YEP I SAID IT SIDE-BY-SIDE THE BREEZE TAKES BETTER PICTURES AND VIDEO.. THIS SPARK IS A BETTER DRONE OBVIOUSLY. ALSO HAS A MECHANICAL GIMBAL SO THE PICTURES ARE NOT SHAKY... THE 1080P DIGITAL STABILIZATION IS VERY GOOD ON THE BREEZE..
without the controller for the DJI SPARK it is way more limited than the YUNEEC BREEZE GOES FASTER AND FURTHER WITH JUST THE PHONE!!!
DJI really limits their drone when you're just using the Wi-Fi in your phone it only goes 8miles an hour and doesn't go as far as the breeze!!
Of course with the controller that costs a lot of money the SPARK GOES 31 miles an hour!!
Like I said I spend a lot of time with both drones the YUNEEC BREEZE FOR THE MONEY IS BETTER.
YUNEEC BREEZE$190 out the door including taxes with a controller and two batteries!! BONUS THE CONTROLLER IS A BLUETOOTH CONTROLLER THAT YOU CAN USE WITH ANY OTHER DRONE, YOU CAN ALSO USE THIS CONTROLLER THAT HOLDS YOUR PHONE WITH ANY GAME IN THE PLAY STORE!!! I NEEDED ONE OF THESE CONTROLLERS ANYWAYS!!!
To get the same set up with the DJI spark as I've stated you have to spend almost $600!!
If I'm going to spend $600 it's not going to be on the DJI Spark that has many gimmicks that don't work.
IT WILL BE ON THE( DJI MAVIC AIR ) THAT PERFECTED ALL OF THE IMPERFECTIONS OF THE DJI SPARK..
The YUNEEC BREEZE is very simple, easy, works fantastic and I get great footage. If I want a better DRONE I will be buying the MAVIC AIR!
ALSO THE YUNEEC BREEZE IS BETTER INDOORS.. MUCH SLOWER, EASIER TO USE, BETTER FOOTAGE WITH THE CAMERA,
IN ONE BIG DIFFERENCE THAT THE SPARK, AND THE AIR CANNOT MATCH!!.
THE DJI ( SPARK AND AIR) ARE LOUD LOUD LOUD LOUD LOUD LOUD LOUD LOUD NOT TO MENTION WAY MORE WINDY!!! THEY'RE NOT MEANT FOR INDOORS!!
THE BREEZE IS MUCH BETTER INDOORS..
So I will have my cheap YUNEEC BREEZE for certain situations not afraid to break it, and I will eventually have the real deal THE MAVIC AIR!!
THE SPARK NOT WORTH THE MONEY IN MY OPINION... SAVE YOUR PENNIES FOR THE GOOD STUFF.
I did the right thing I purchase both products and return the one that I did not want for the reasons I explained.. I didn't just watch videos..

Very well said. I will do a video comparison of the two drones.
You made a great answer. I agree, Breeze is the best value going right now.

I bought my first drone "Breeze" the day after Christmas 2017. My brother has been doing it longer than me. He has a Mavic Pro which I've flown a good bit. Like you, I am drooling for a Mavic Air but don't quite have the money. Since I'll be getting into this commercially for Real Estate I'll use the Breeze at first. I'm learning all the flight modes so I can shoot with precision. However, in between I may buy a used Spark for its two axis gimbal when panning houses. With everything I've learned I can pretty much say I will only purchase DJI and Yuneec products in the future. I am impressed with both. Thanks for the great review.

Great tests! Considering how low the prices are now, I am considering buying a Breeze but I have heard that it has issues with Android devices. Is this true? For now I would fly it with the controller and a Samsung S5 Neo. Thanks.

I've had it for a year now. It still flies great! It's 150 everywhere now including Amazon. I beat it up too! Here's my most recent flight and a video where I beat it up. ruclips.net/video/hlvnYpsakUg/видео.html flying in snow, ruclips.net/video/Vhm0ANGDBtU/видео.html crash and camera advice.

Thank you. I am going to watch these videos for sure before I buy one! Do you have an android phone or an iPhone?

    • @TommyDrone
      @TommyDrone  6 лет назад

I have the S5 - I'm to cheap to buy a new one. I also used a Tablet A from Samsung. Also my son's new Iphone works too. So I haven't had any problems. I've been impressed with how durable it is. Only advice I give - is if possible - get the insurance. I purchased the insurance and it has saved me. This is second Breeze, because I killed the first, and the insurance got me a second. And of course this one is also insured.

Good advice thanks. My old S5 is off contract in a couple of months. I hope my new Android phone (Note 8 or Pixel 2 XL) won't be a problem!

So you painted the prop guards what did you use?

You noticed! I think only one other person ever saw that. I purchase plastic safe spray paint. amzn.to/2I1PGWj

You tested with the flight guards on in the windy conditions and with them off in the calm wind. You need to have the same test conditions in place for both wind conditions to make the numbers relate. In general, you don't need to fly outdoors with the prop guards on. They are mainly used indoors.
Also, it appears that you ran the camera in the test. The camera draws power from the batteries, so you will not get your maximum time duration with the camera on.
An excellent battery test I saw on RUclips was a hover test. No propeller guards, no camera on, only a takeoff and hover at about 3 feet was used. Also, while you get your first battery warning at 20%, it will continue to fly safely for another 2-3 minutes. At about 5% left, it will force a landing. I would use the 20% warning to bring it home over safe landing ground. Then fly it there until you reach the 5% mark. This should give you the 12 minutes they advertise.
You did prove that wind does make a big difference in battery life. Too bad you weighted the drone down with the prop guards for that test. The prop guards also made the drone more susceptible to the wind. Overall, a very interesting test. Thank you.

People don't realize Battery Technology has really not changed. It goes by weight, wind, aerodynamics, size,
If you look at other drones that go longer it's very simple THEY'RE DRONE IS USUALLY HEAVIER AND BIGGER.. ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES..
For instance you may notice that the DJI Spark and the DJI mavic air both have better battery life.. but they weigh about the same weight as the yuneec Breeze..
    That's very simple..
They got got rid most of the body so they can fit a bigger battery..
If you look at the DJI spark and Air
    I
THE ACTUAL BATTERY IS ALMOST HALF OF THE BODY!! THEREFORE BIGGER BATTERY...
NOT BETTER BATTERY BIGGER BATTERY BECAUSE OF THE DESIGN..
Also note YUNEEC BREEZE, SPARK AND AIR IS ALSO CONSIDERED AN INDOOR DRONE...
THE SPARK AND AIR ARE MUCH LOUDER INDOORS AND MY GOODNESS THE WIND MAKES IT UNUSABLE INDOORS...
The breeze has different size propellers in a different design so it's quieter and easier to use inside.. it was me to be a very simple simple camera drone for anybody.. software is so easy everything is easy..
So the breeze will always have a purpose... And FYI the camera video and pictures are much better in my opinion than the SPARK..

I would be interested in knowing how much battery life is used to run the camera. Any ideas how this would effect total time?

Ok you gave me an idea for my next video. I'll do that as soon as I can and get that up.

And all of those scenarios I usually always get 10 minutes at least.. that's when the battery gets down to about 4%
    Then I'll and immediately

    • @TommyDrone
      @TommyDrone  6 лет назад

Be careful of 4% battery life. I killed one of my batteries doing that. I learned my lesson and never again go below 20%

Any lag time from drone to the tablert or phone. Im getting about 5 to 10sec of lag time.. im not sure why?

    • @TommyDrone
      @TommyDrone  7 лет назад

Yes it's annoying. Yeah sometimes for no reason it suddenly starts lagging real bad. What's really scary is when the drone responds late. That's happened to me too. But yeah I get that all the time too. Here's a video where I show that happening to me. Note at 7:25 in that video ruclips.net/video/ng0BovNeGC4/видео.html

I don't have problems with lag time..
I've used it with many Android phones no problems here's a trick..
FYI I love my yuneec Breeze.
      USE AIRPLANE MODE!!
Turn airplane mode on. Yes I know the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi is going to shut off.. just go back in and manually turn it back on when you use airplane mode.. it shuts a lot of the stuff off in the background that can cause glitching and can affect screen delay..
Also get a product called greenify from the Play Store set it up so can manually force stop all of your apps in the background that you may have been running when you go to recent apps it doesn't necessarily stop the entire app from running in the background..
Use greenify to force stop everything meaning the games you downloaded and random apps..
After that just to be safe I went into battery mode and you can hibernate those things also.. I like doing both..
And furthermore if you want you could put it on do not disturb.
This makes everything run flawlessly.. it makes the yuneec breeze even connect quicker the less things you have taking up your memory, space, infighting for CPU percentage. The better off you are..
I ALSO RECOMMEND NEWER PHONES.. I would say Galaxy S6 or above... THEY JUST HAVE BETTER WI-FI, BETTER ANTENNAS, WHICH ALSO GREATLY AFFECTS LIVE VIDEO FEEDS...
      ;)
And FYI the Apple phones don't work better that is a big lie.. it all depends on the phone in the situation.
The background I'm a certified Computer and Network Engineer 30 is electronic experience I have my own repair shop fixing phones and computers..

There is a good sight called tomtop.com However, they don't have it anymore. Best place is at Amazon because these batteries can suddenly stop working. I've already had two die on me. But Amazon is good for returns if the battery is bad. Check them out. amzn.to/2AkSWpp
