Rolling Quartz 롤링쿼츠 Digital Single 디지털 싱글 'Stand Up'

The digital single “Stand Up,” which will be released ahead of a June EP release, is a Rock/Metal track full of rock spirit with a sense of realism. It is a stepping-stone track for a fandom who must be tired of the long wait for a new song.
The music video showcases the traditional Korean Bongsan mask dance combined with modern dance, mirroring the similarity between the shuffle rhythm and the “gutgeori” rhythm (shaman’s song), and it also attempts to create a crossover with lion dance and the band music. Artistically, we tried to match the cultures of East and West three-dimensionally by displaying images evoking mother-of-pearl lacquerware along with the ten traditional symbols of longevity on the LED screens, expressing the feeling of viewing an oriental folding screen.
6월 EP 음반 발매에 앞서 공개하는 디지털 싱글 Stand Up은 록 스피릿 충만한 현장감을 담은 Rock/Metal 곡으로 신곡에 대한 오랜 기다림에 지쳐있을 팬덤을 위한 징검다리 트랙.
뮤직비디오는 셔플 리듬과 굿거리 장단의 유사성을 모티브로 하여 한국 전통의 봉산탈춤을 모던댄스로 표현했으며 사자춤과 함께 밴드 음악과의 크로스오버를 시도했습니다. 미술적으로는 나전칠기 자개공예의 십장생 이미지를 LED화면에 담아 동양화 병풍의 느낌을 표현하는 등 동서양 문화의 입체적 매칭을 시도했습니다.

They did a limited 8 city tour here in the US. From all i seen, they sold out all of them. Rolling Quartz had such a good time here, they want to come back soon, and expand their tour. Had i known about RQ before, i would have had the chance to see them 2x. Equal distance from me to Chicago and Minneapolis. Maybe next tour.

Some real money went into this film clip. This is only the second time I've listened to it and I think it's going to take a while to get used to it because it is a lot different to their other stuff. It has a sort of K Pop influence and that's accentuated by the film clip because it's so flash. Good news is that they say that they will come to Australia 🇦🇺.
