He will give us what we NEED a shirt on your back and food. But not what you want.
I always feel like Job in the bible. I had almost everything I ever wanted. I had a career, enough money to support myself, lived in my own nice apartment in the neighborhood of the city I've always wanted to live in, I had a group of friends that were really fun and enjoyed all the same things. I had my own car that was nice too and I was finally engaged! I believed in God but didn't have a relationship with him. Then one day I was walking and got hit by a drunk driver. I had a severe concussion and ended up getting a rare disease that effects every part of your body and can even attack your organs. It's incredible painful, most painful condition known to science and it's chronic. No cure and only expiremntal treatments. The disease killed me twice (legally dead) caused kidney failure twice, made me paralyzed from the waist down for a year. Spent that whole year in the hospital. Then spent five years bedridden with people needing to take care of me. Then ended up paralyzed in my back and was paralyzed this time for around 5 months. Throughout the years of going through it all I was in and out of hospitals. Sometimes for a months sometimes weeks or days. It was hell. And nothing helped the pain. It was agonizing and torture. I lost all those fun friends I had, lost the career I worked for, had to go on disability which you can barely live off of, my fiancee left me because he couldn't deal with it, didn't know if I'd ever walk again without assistance, lost my ability to drive and freedom and couldn't do anything for myself anymore including cutting up my own food to eat. However during all this I NEVER ONCE GOT MAD AT GOD! I knew in my heart there was a reason for all this. I knew that this was something I had to go through. I didn't know what the outcome would be and I didn't know if I'd ever find out the reason for it either but It was ok. I kept saying God's will not mine. It brought me closer to God instead of further away. I prayed.amd thanked him and told him I loved him. Still do! Anyways....I'm doing better now! Will always be sick but I'm not as bad as I was for sure. I'm no longer friends with those fake people anymore. My life is no longer all about going out and partying and making a ton of money. God helped me see I was valuing the wrong things. And I feel that he's blessed me ten fold like he did Job. I am with a man that is the best man I've ever met. We are expecting our first child (which I never thought could happen) I have a house. I don't drive or work, still can't do that but it allows me to be a house wife/homemaker which honestly makes me feel more valuable and worthy then when I had a respectable job. God is amazing. He works in his way and his time. It's his will be done! Amen everyone ❤️🙏

I can second this... I'm getting rid of alot of 'stuff' boughten over the years that did absolutely nothing for me, but collect space and dust. The less I have, the more calm and free'er I feel, all be to God. When you die, you can not take it with you. satan' done an exceptional job of making the billions think they need this, and that, and that over there, and We Do NOT. It's just stuff made to separate your heart and mind from God to it.

I'm crying tears of joy. I was a hopeless and homeless felon and drug addict after my mother died. I lived on the streets on methadone mile in Boston/Roxbury for years and Tried AA, NA and all those recovery centers. It was only through Jesus that my life was saved from multiple overdoses and death. Now I'm saved with a beautiful baby girl and a good woman. Love may be hard sometimes. Often she says such hurtful things to me. But yet, I'm proud to be a believer in Christ. The son of man had no home. I'm grateful to have one because of him.
I have had a similar life and i am so grateful for finding Jesus. I thank Him for letting you in aswell. Praise be! My faith is very new but it is true and strong. I trust in His perfect plan and realize that there was meaning to everything i have been struggling with. I will attend church tomorrow for the first time in a very long time since i have just seen the light. I can't wait! 🥰 I will continue to seek His infinite wisdom and truth. I repent and accept The Most High into my life and into my heart. Jesus Christ is my guiding light and i thank The Good Lord for the clarity of senses that has brought me here. I pray for your continued strength in sobriety and good fortune. Beware the mark of the beast. Do not submit to anything implantated in your hand or forehead because it the mark of the beast and it will tempt our weakness and challenge our fortidude. I will rather starve and suffer than submit to it. If that is his will, it will be done. I lay my life in His hands for i trust in Him and love him for letting me in and see a glimpse of His Glory. When my wife died of cancer when she was 42 and I ws 35 years old I got mad and turned away like a spoiled child when I came back to Jesus I felt like that shame-filled child knowing he did wrong with true contrition. I felt the glory!

When our son was left a quadriplegic with no speech after devastating illness at 10yrs old, a pastor came and told me it was a punishment from God because I left that denomination (even though I was attending another church and raising our boys in the Gospel and homeschooling them).
Heartbroken , I told my dear Mother-in-law and she said, “It rains on the just and the unjust so just keep walking with God!”
23 years later I still cling to our Loving Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ!!
Yes, there have been some horrible times and sometimes kick the dirt in frustration but God is SO Loving and Patient.

God bless you. When my daughter, my 5th child, was born in 1990 with a fatal heart defect and the Lord took her home 3 hours after birth I knew it was God's will, yes it hurt worse than anything, but I knew I'd see her again. When my 20 year old grandson became a paraplegic in April this year I was devastated but went straight to prayer. I spent the last few months back and forth visiting him in the hospital, helping my daughter cope and I knew it was not a punishment from God, but a result of my grandson's actions that caused it. Thru it all my grandson has accepted Jesus and trying to keep a spiritual walk with the Lord, the accident has brought him, his brothers and my daughter closer. Yes it breaks our hearts, but we know Jesus will work it all to his Glory some day. The prosperity Gospel preachers are ruining peoples faith. Bad things happen to all people, it's not a punishment.
We have a daughter who was born deaf, now in thirties is going blind. We have inherited her three children not what we had in mind at our age. It's heartbreaking to see our daughter deteriorating but then you also see the Lords hand and his blessings that give the strength you need. The apostle Paul said For I consider these sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18.
I’m disabled and house bound , it is not a curse but a blessing I have more time to study his word , I have more time at home with my children. Sometimes what seems like a curse is a blessing in disguise ❤

Cash’s life was anything but colorless though I would suggest his auto bio’s to even the most book weary individuals I know the guy was just an all out miracle truly one of those people that I’m sure only a true god could have ever potentially designed or put the breath of life into. My faith in god and secondly in humanity is derived from people like him . Which there are few of and yet so many at the same time :)

honestly? This fills me with joy. I have no money at the moment, my mother hates me in a way, and for the past week, I am bedridden because of leg trombosis. I'm not angry at God at all. Not even one bit, since I know He is with me, always. I know, that I have this sickness for a reason, and that I can use the time to get closer to The Father!

because no one comes to Jesus to "get what they want". They come to Jesus because they realize He is all they want.
That is because non-believers see/hear with WORLDLY eyes/ears, not SPIRITUAL ones (and sadly, so do many who say they are Christians). We need to pray that God will remove the scales from their eyes, and the hardness from their hearts, that they would know and ACCEPT the Truth of God -- He wants ALL His precious children to be in Heaven with Him 💞💞💞💞

I don’t have a story that I’m proud to share, but whenever I watch Pastor Kirby, I know that Jesus truly is speaking through him. I can feel the humility and love, it just comes pouring through.
My husband and I were trying to get pregnant. And shortly after I got pregnant!! We were absolutely ecstatic! Sadly 3 months later, it was not meant to be and I miscarried! I was devastated and was crying and crying to my mother-in-law who consoled me as best she could. The next day I was at work and received a call to go to reception area, and there waiting for me was a beautiful planter with a card that read " In Gods Time"
At the time, I was young and still of the mindset that "I want what I want when I want it!!
It wasn't up to me, when and if I was to be blessed with children! Four years later, we were blessed with a beautiful, healthy baby girl and four years after that we were again blessed with her lil sister! It wasn't on my time, but on His!
I thank God everyday for his blessings!

Being a Christian, life is not always in the bed of roses. There are trials and difficulties we will experience because God is testing our faith in Him.
God promise us that he never leave nor forsake us in time of hardships and troubles in life as long as we keep our relationship with Him. (Deut.3:16)

I disagree. God doesn’t put his creation on test. He already knew that we are weak. It is the devil who tested and testing us.

The only "thing" off real value is the growth of our souls, getting closer to our Lord, while doing so we help others to do the same,we are living testimonies/witnesses... I myself got a sense of direction of the path to Him by seeing someone I love transform by His power. I could not put my finger on what was happening but I felt this awesome presence around her, I then knew this was what I was searching for, what followed was a long steep bumpy road but no longer am I traveling it alone, and no longer do I see a deep dark abyss at the end of it and never again did I experience deep dark existential crisis.

I recently lost my mother to cancer on January 31 at 9:28 AM. I was shocked , hurt, and in denial. I would do anything to have her back but she was taken away at age 52. Not one day goes by where I don't think of her and I ask Jesus Christ why? I am angry , I think of her more and of Jesus more. I always ask him why her . At one point I told my wife (devout Christian) that I don't want to hear anything about Jesus Christ and God, but I never stopped believing in him because I know he's taking care of her .

When I went through cancer and the loss of my son I wanted to show people how God has held me during those times.
Rarely do you hear a message preached on carrying the cross of suffering and pain. As Christ carried His cross so must we who are called by His name.
This was exactly what I need to hear. The path I'm on is exactly where He wants me to be, content with what little I have and enduring the suffering and hardship for His Name's sake. My promotion will come in due time whether it be here or in eternity is entirely left in his hands. Until then, His grace is sufficient for me.

Same in my family Christopher. Now that my mom passed away earlier this year i am the sole Christian left in my family. It's a lonely feeling. The majority of my husband's family are not saved, in fact some are atheists. My step daughter is into New Age. Both my adult kids were raised in church but have turned away from the Lord and following after the things of the world. For decades i have been praying for my kids and my entire family to become born again. Whenever i share the Gospel with family members the usual response is hostility or indifference. I am in poor health and worry that when the Lord calls me home that there will be nobody left to pray for my unsaved loved ones.
I hear you. One of my prayers is to be a better witness... To be filled with the Holy Spirit, that it is His words and not my own that speaks to unbelievers. I get nervous because of my limited knowledge. I have been watching quite a few apologetics channels to further my understanding. I pray for wisdom and discernment. God bless all of you.

My sister had her 6'2" son beat me up after my mom died because she made executor of her estate. Made my walking to a wheelchair materialize.
I've been praying and praying that God takes away this pain so I can walk but he doesn't do it. I know this life is a test. I know the road the hell is wide and the road to heaven is narrow. I love my God I want to be in heaven with him and I know when that happens, I will be pain-free and able to walk anywhere I want to go for eternity!

The problem starts when People attempt to focus on prosperity and ignore God. God wants us to focus on developing massive wealth so we can be impactful on this earth, but he also wants us to be wise, and to be thankful, and to focus on him first and foremost.
There are people, that if God blesses them, they may stop going to church, or, they stop praying.
That is the real issue. The goal is to be Prosperous and still have fire for the things of God.
Poverty is not an option. Yes you can still make it to Heaven even if you are poor, but you won't have much impact on earth without Wealth/resources. That's just how it is.

God has only and EVER wanted those who freely accepted to follow Him, to be obedient, humble, and faithful no matter what happens to us (good or bad things). NOWHERE in Scripture does it tell us to "amass great wealth." It DOES say that we are NOT to store up earthly treasures (wealth), INSTEAD to store up HEAVENLY treasures -- NOT worldly things. You have everything BACKWARDS -- and whomever told you God wants you to be rich, is speaking for Satan. Don't be fooled -- the Devil knows EXACTLY how to tempt weak human beings -- the SAME WAY he tempted Jesus with all the wealth in the Kingdoms of the World. Just as Jesus rejected it, so must we. Our ETERNAL TREASURE has NEVER been this earthly world or ANY THING or ANY ONE in it. Our treasure (if we follow God) is the treasure of ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven with Him. EVERYTHING else (to quote a line from the film "Gladiator") "Is shadows and dust." I will pray that God shows you His Truth.

When I allowed The Lord to turn my heart to want what He wanted me to have, He poured out riches and blessings on me beyond what I can count. I'm currently a homeless man, but I am so blessed and rich from The Lord that I wake up every day happy and looking forward to glorifying Him.
