  • The Oiyshes keep on orbiting between Cayos Holandeses and Waisaladup of the gorgeous Guna Yala Panama. Anna handles the repair of her laptops wobbly screen that turns into full hinge mounting reconstruction. Bartek tackles the task of making the DIY autopilot installation a little bit more permanent. So it's the classic combination of sailing and boat related projects. Trying to live a little bit more sustainable lifestyle in line with the 'Reduce, Reuse, Repair and only then Recycle' philosophy.

Our sailboat Oiysh is a 1985 Bruce Farr design, 40 foot, Australian build retired racing boat that we hope to restore to her former glory with a bit of diy/solarpunkish/small budget twist.

You two are, indeed, the most resourceful couple on the whole internet.

Oh thank you so much, nice to hear from you again!😊 I'm not sure that we are but kind words like these keep us aspiring to be 😉

What a resourceful pair you are! I love the "repair it if you can, don't just replace it" ethos guys👏🏻. I try to do this too, wherever I can. Methinks If everyone embraced it there would be a whole lot less useless junk on our world right?🙂. Also, l like the new "subtle" dinghy stowage option, functional .... but hilarious😂. A lot more footage (and handage😉) of you both this week which I really enjoyed (along with the ever fabulous dry, witty commentary) inexplicable to me that you guys are not getting more subs, weird world we live in. Perhaps you could ask the local fishermen what they're using as bait - might break your "no luck fishin' " spell? As aways fair winds (and no mosquitos) Oiyshes🙂⛵

Thank you so much for (as always ) lovely and positive comment. These days we catch ourselves on actually waiting for them 😊 We absolutely agree that if more folks would make a little bit more to reduce, reuse and repair we wouldn't be in such a pickle on our tiny beautiful planet. These videos are our humble attempt to spread that idea 😊 'Subtle' that's the word I was looking for 😂 As for the subs I guess there is not enough glamour and drama but we'd rather grow slowly then resort to cheap tactics ( at least for now ) 😉 We tried using all the baits we know they use both natural and artificial and I think it's not the bait it's the fish they just know we are not worthy yet and we need to prove ourselves first 😂 As always thank you so much for always leaving us a kind word 😊 Live long and may the force be with you 🙂⛵

Making do and mending the laptop was good to see. If you'd ordered the spare part you would have been left with the old one to dispose of...more waste plastic. Anyway the cost and waiting and delivery logistics would be far more irritating than a bit of glass and epoxy. Good work.

Thank you! Our thoughts exactly 😊 Plus it's always more satisfying to fix something 😉
