    Hello, First of all I want to thank you for all your advices. After you took the cookies out of the oven, why did you level them with that white tool leveler ? Thank you

    • @LittleCookieCo

      Sometimes when you roll the dough a few times you get bubbles on the cookies, so you can use a spatula or a fondant smoother and squish them back down! And thank you ♥️

    I don't like that particular scribe because it doesn't last long and the metal part breaks off from the plastic. I buy the other kind which is a smaller plastic grip and a longer metal scribe. They last a lot longer and work great!😃

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  3 года назад

      I've had one that broke but that was my fault, this one I've had for a while now and so far so good! But yes those long metal ones are probably unbreakable 🤣

    Thank you! I’ve learned so much from you. Just wondering - do you freeze your cookies for a few minutes before you bake them?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  2 года назад +1

      Thank you so much! I don't freeze them but I do put them in the fridge. I usually roll and cut the first tray or cookies then they go in the fridge. Then I'll roll and cut the second tray and when that tray goes in the fridge I'll put the first in the oven! I have my whole process in this video

      Thank you so much!! I don't like to share my projector because its gives me lots of problems (and I've heard the same from other cookiers as well). I don't want people to buy it just because I'm using it. But I've heard good things about the following projector from others though if you need a recommendation.

    I never realized parchment paper or a silo at wasn’t needed while baking sugar cookies. That will save a lot of time! Thank you for this series. Question- what lighting / background do you use to have such pure white light / canvas? This is particularly driving me crazy. I bought lights but wherever I move my hand, it creates a crazy shadow effect. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

      I use a poster board usually, I used to use cake boards or anything big and white. The do sell photo backgrounds as well and some are food safe so you could use those too. The trick is not to use your lights but natural daylight. I try to do all the filming during the day and sometimes (now that it's winter and light is limited haha) I have to move my table by the window especially if its a dark rainy day. If its sunny you don't want to be too close to the window as it creates shadows. Its jsut finding the brightest area in your place and doing it there, its not always possible but I try for these videos to do it during the day.

      @@LittleCookieCo Ugh, thank you!!!! Ironically I tried a poster board yesterday but got it so dang messy with frosting, I had to throw it out, lol.

      I feel you! Mine don't last too long sometimes! I was using a rectangular cake board for a while, just a wilton cardboard one and it was nice because you could wipe the icing off and it didn't stain. But they had seem ridges in it so I changed to poster board. Search up ink and elm, they sell photo backgrounds, I have one that is wood panels. They can be wiped down!

      Thank you! That is a fondant smoother. Sometimes when your roll your dough a few times your cookies get bubbles, so you can run that over them to smoothe them out. You can use a flat spatula or something like that as well😊

    Hey what to do with the leftover royal icing? Can we use it again or just ditch it?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  3 года назад +9

      You can freeze it! I put my piping bags in a big ziploc bag (roll up the tips so they don't drip or you can use little clips) and then freeze. Then take them out, thaw for half an hour to an hour and ready to go! Sometimes the consistency changes so you may have to remix but most of the time they are the same as before!

      I never use them, I've been too cheap to buy them 🤣 the pans work great for me, and my pans are really big so the bigger mats are a bit expensive, so never justified buying them. But I know lots of people use them and love them!
